Hilarious.

Did Skyrim have a good story? Some may call it treasure but it's really junk.

Some things to do other than exploring and questing, perhaps some mini games or things like real fishing, hardcoe mode, real jobs, better marriage system... I really don't feel like Skyrim is a real living world.

Hilarious.

their delivery was awful but it was a good story. infact i disliked fallout 3 the first time i played it, because all i did was the main quest.

i actually was expecting people to say dumb (imo) things like dragon mounts, but everything said here is wonderful, and added to a TES game could make the best RPG ever. this is a thread i hope they read.

Hey, I thought Fallout 3's story was pretty awesome. It got me to hold a grudge against the Enclave even though their radio broadcasts before plot-twist events made mei want to join them.

Hm. This is going to be rather specific and weird, and in no particular order as far as importance goes (and it includes things I would just like to
see as well as some 'missing' ones). Some are nitpicks, others purely stupid, and few make sense:
  • Underwater combat (stupid slaughterfish)
  • Touch spells (seriously, my followers tend to die when I play a mage. D: Which is often. Gods, I miss these.)
  • Marriageable npcs from the Thieves Guild and Dark Brotherhood factions (What? What're you looking at me funny for?)
  • Similar to above, more followers/marriagable npcs of races other than Nords (I know the game is set in Skyrim, I know...But when I can see NPCs married to say, Wood elves while my character is forever forbidden from that, it's kind of annoying. Also, I would love to tote a High Elf into Windhelm and show off my new best bud to all the locals!)
  • Lack of usable fishing poles despite them existing in game. (Why do you taunt me so, cruel, cruel gods? Why must I hillbilly handfish?)
  • More NPC recognition of my deeds. (Not saying I want people to fawn over me, I would just like to stop hearing the guards say 'sweetroll'.)
  • Ability to adopt those poor kids in Riften or at least Arventus (and raise my own squad of mini-assassins...I'm joking. Yes, joking...ahem.)
  • Option to train any marriagable NPC into a follower.
  • Arrow crafting, didn't think I would miss you.
  • Option to become jarl, yes, jarl of Helgen and rebuild the town. (Saved the world and I get no respect, I tell ya, no respect.)
  • Butterfly net (Only half-joking; those things are hard to catch. Especially useful for dragonflies. Evil bugs.)
  • Necromancer's guild
  • Option for mandatory sleeping and eating mode (for those who don't sleep or eat in real life )
  • Tangentially related to #13, drunkeness. If I down 15 ales in battle, it should mess up my sword-swingin' or spell-slingin'. Related: skooma. It restores stamina with no ill-effects. :\
  • Pets that can stay at home. Meeko, stop dying in battle and just chill at my house! Poor dude. ;_;
  • Hair and clothes dye for wacky colors. (I know Fable had this and I don't care.)
  • Looms. To make clothes. Aw yeah! (Unlocked perk: master embroiderer. Okay, I know something similar is in WoW after googling it, but still...Imagine the delightful tedium of gathering tundra cotton to make a Legendary cocktail dress or something. Put all those wolf pelts to use.)
  • Own a farm (Useful for alchemists)
  • More custom options for houses. (At least options for overall color schemes or something.)
  • "Mundane" items like books, clothes, jewelry, should be more expensive. (Need to drop this gold on something.)
  • Bard's college/instrument playing (I shall strive to rival Lurbuk in greatness)
  • Trouser option for women (allowing women to pick either 'male' or 'female' versions of the outfits. And vice versa, if you're so inclined--j/k. Or am I?)
  • Some sort of in-game card or board game. It'd be cool to bet on this and play it. Especially for low-level characters. Although it gets a bit strange if your character sits down for a game of Skyrim D&D...so I'm thinking something like card games.
  • More good guy quests. Good can be exciting too.
  • Join temples as a priest or priestess. Obviously not both at once! XD
  • Sleeping potions. For pacifists or those who have pesky targets who rarely sleep...
Well, that became quite the book. Edited for spelling and to add #26.

I enjoy Skyrim for what it is, but if I had the brain and creativity of a developer, and also the flexible voice range, I would change the following:

-Make dragons less frequent, give them more strength (other NPCs are powerless against them) and give them shouts.
-Make it so that there is a alternate faction to certain factions (Other ES games didn't do this, but it would be cool to join the silver hand and wipe out the companions, disobey the dragonborn prophecy and join the Thalmor, somehow manage to control Alduin and use him to turn Skyrim into your destruct-o-playground, help mjoll and the Jarl of Riften stop the thieves guild, ect)
-More Emphasis on you being the only one who can stop dragons!
-Better civil war questline (I know it would be difficult to do this due to all the possible outcomes, but I'd make the civil war quest-line more territory-based. More attack/defence scenarios rather than just whiterun, and also you being able to kill the Jarls, with some neat duelling.)
-Moral choice? I know this would be ridiculous, but I liked it how in games like Fallout, NPCs would make remarks on how good or bad you were.
-The ability to unlock craftable armour/clothing sets after doing certain quests
-Morrowind-style skills?
-Less noisy bears and "YOU PICKED A BAD TIME TO GET LOST FRIEND"

I know it sounds like we're the unpleasable fanbrats going around saying that Skyrim will never be as good as the previous ES games, Nostalgia gleaming in our eyes, but if these were possible (Maybe mods?), Skyrim would be a almost perfect game. :D

I think the final DLC should be set 2000 years in the future with your toon having found the secret to immortality.

I would love to see what Tamriel would like 2000 years into the future. We better be out of the dark ages by then.

Things I would like to see:

-The ability to craft arrows

-Sit on a chair faster and stand up faster. Sitting down by accident and standing up from sitting takes forever.

-After playing Dragon's Dogma I enjoyed the ability to lift yourself up from ledges. Jump up a ledge and pull yourself up. That was pretty good. I hated jumping only to realize you couldn't jump high enough and you'd fall.

-Taunt with weapons, ie) Spinning a dagger around your hand before you go up to kill someone in fist person perspective or looking at your sword and seeing your characters reflection on the sheen of the surface. That's if your character hasn't been moved in a while.

-Your character would fidget around when doing nothing, usually stretching or adjust their shoulders or gear would make your Skyrim character's animation more believable.

-Looking at your weapon can show the condition of it, ie) bloodied, rusted, damaged depending on the environment used or last place you used it.

-Assassinate enemies when they are sitting down and enter into an assassination animation. Hate doing a normal strike only for them to get up and kill me. I had the tactical advantage.

-Numerous assassination animations from behind. ie) Stabbing in the back, slitting of the throat, stabbing the chest repeatedly while covering the opponents mouth. More variety and accessibility.

-Stuck misc quests and fixed quest items fixed. Please!

Oh ya and why did taverns honestly svck way more than they weere hyped to be? its SKYRIM! the same paltry few patrons every night who sit there and do nothing and listen to a bard play one of the only three songs in all of skyrim's song repertoire... no big bar crowds, drunks (beyond the standard town beggar), and regular tavern fights or anything

I have to agree the Taverns svck. Things that would improve it:
a) random bar fight break out late at night
B) Something to DO in the bar - challenge others with darts, dice games, etc
c) Variety of things you can do in each bar- and where is the house of pleasure? I've never known a fantasy city to not have one somewhere.
d) Allow players to marry the bar maids and add some waiters for the lady players.
e) Larger bars in larger cities should have more people and more bar maids
f) Theives that come over to talk - and steal from your character forcing you to hunt them down and get it back.
g) Pickups - both girls and guys who come to the bar and buy you a drink and want to talk - increasing dialogs in the bar and info you can learn
h) Special things in specific bars - maybe one bar sells Skooma after they get to know you - another might let you in the back of the bar for gambling - others might have some rare wonderful wine that improves Stamina
i) Change the decor more - decorate the nicer places - with table cloths or candles on the table
j) Make some bar a resteraunt - that asks for a reservation - has waiters (for those girl players) - large menu of food choices - and a nice place to go.

My character doesnt go to the bar to have fun - its not - I go there to sell stuff and leave after I've talked with all the people.

Looking at you funny - no way. I was disappointed not to be able to get more dialog from Sapphire at the Thieves Guild - even after becoming Master of the Guild - she still wouldnt tell me more about her past or open up... No way to marry her - which was too bad. I was really hoping for a quest to help her out - would open up later in the game - but nothing.. Then there's Vex - oh sweet Vex. Lots of good choices - as for the Brotherhood - now I am looking at you funny :) Really. No I mean that - Really?!! Marry anyone from there and your going to be dead in the morning.

^ This. Also, multiple quest paths, memorable NPCs, a good magic system. Also, it's always bother me that NPCs don't know what I am. If I'm of the beast race, I shouldn't be allowed to walk in towns were my brethren are not. If I'm a notorious member of the Thieves Guild or Dark Brotherhood I shouldn't be allowed to roam freely around towns or interact with NPCs as if I'd never done any harm. The world is pretty, but it feels shallow and meaningless.

More destructible environments/objects. I was a bit disappointed my Unrelenting Force shout could not move at least a few obstacles that seem to block so many places. No wood burned no matter what I tried on it. I hopefully BBQ'ed some ice the other day of the off chance I could melt it and get under it, nothing happened. I still often try and shoot/blow/blast cages down on the off chance something might happen. I know adding such things to such a big game could cause yet more problems than maybe it is worth, but it would add a bit more variety. We can destroy the wooden barricades, although we only rarely get them. For the next game I would like to be able to destroy more than barricades.

Also for pesky explorers who insist on going where they are not meant to, collapsing rocks, floors and ground could kill them off. Or you could add to the exploration by including fragile surfaces with something hidden under them.

Very little, IMO. Open lock spells, something to do once you finish a guild Questline, perhaps a little more reaction from the general populace. But as a whole, I think Skyrim is pretty darn amazing.

Xbox player here. I enjoyed the control pad being hotkeys, rather than the favorites menu. Pulling up the menu stops the flow of battle, and I could never think of needing more than 8 hand combos (I use 3 at best). Crafting arrows would be great to (can you craft crossbow bolts in dawngaurd?). The last thing is being able to cast a spell while holding a two hander. I don't want to play an archer because it is a pain to turn invisible when I want to. Maybe an option to turn the shout button into a magic spell if you are holding a two hander?
