So who is this Divayth Fyr?

Post » Thu Nov 15, 2012 6:32 pm

Its only a part of the questline if you choose to follow mad Trebonius to the end.
If you follow the Argonian at Sadrith Mora you get a contract to kill Trebonius before all that.

That's why I never got that quest. I usually ignored Trebonius.

A pity, as his quests through a roundabout way lead you to know what happened to the Dwemer.

"It was unfashionable among the Dwemer to view their spirits as synthetic constructs three, four, or forty creational gradients below the divine. During the Dawn Era they researched the death of the Earth Bones, what we call now the laws of nature, dissecting the process of the sacred willing itself into the profane. I believe their mechanists and tonal architects discovered systematic regression techniques to perform the reverse -- that is, to create the sacred from the deaths of the profane."

So it's not actually what happened to the Dwemer, just what might have happened. You should point that out before a "DWEMER REETOORN TO DWARF APOCALYPSE" DLC comes out, and people get butthurt because of "Lore". Those two words leave it open to be ruined at a later date.

True, but I still got the game installed, I will check it out. I just could never take him seriously, no one respected him within the guild.

Thanks for the info.

Remember that Baladas is a Morag Tong target, and Aryon is killed in the Mages Guild questline. I'd hedge all my bets on Fyr.

Ah, damn... Well, there goes Baladas and Aryon as potential characters... For them to appear could conflict with many of our Nerevarine's adventures.

I don't think Fyr will be the Dragonborn - the DB has to "return" - I suspect Fyr never left. Still...seeing old Divayth again would be awesome.

If someone was to survive the chaos, WITH all his dwemer stuff, and regrow a BIG tower in a foreign land, was Fyr.
None of the Telvanni lords was up to the task of survive, and may be canon that Aryon and Baladas was killed before the red year and the argonian invasion.
Thus, I think is the MOST ptobable that the tower is of Fyr, and if not, of one of his 4 female clones. They carry his blood after all.

To sum up Divayth Fyr in a nutshell;

All the men want to be like him, all the women want to be with him. He's just that awesome.

He has 4 wives who are all female clones of himself. That is a just a whole new level of awesome! He is the one they call Divayth Fyr!

I have not played morrowind.
I have done a bit of reading on Divayth Fyr, and I believe that the guy at the top of the Telvanni Tower is likely going to be Divayth Fyr. Maybe even one of his "daughters".
The dwemer artifacts, he is a member of house telvanni and the usep says he spends most of his time at the top of the tower.
So evidence shows. This is possible.

Is anyone excited about Divayth Fyr? What makes him great? Im not sure who he is tbh.

Divayth is a Wizard in Morrowind, his life's work is dedicated to studying a disease called Corprus. He is one of the coolest characters you meet in Morrowind in my opinion.
He is also the only person in the game who wears a full set of Daedric armour (minus the helmet)

Morrowind Spoiler incoming, but necessary to explain who he is.
Spoiler
Some time during the Morrowind Main quest, the player becomes infected with Corprus, you are directed to Divayth and his research.
He believes he has found a cure to the dreaded disease and offers to experiment with the cure on the player. While the cure does not fully "cure" you, all the negative effects are removed and you are left with an imunity to all other diseases as a side effect. This is one of the prophecies the player must fulfil in the course of the game.

He is a Dunmer wizard who has aged 4000 years. His basemant was called the Corpsarium (spelling might be wrong), and basically he is just this almighty wizard who was a fan favorite because the Daedric Crescent Blade was located in his tower. Pretty tricky to get, in my opinion
Ah yes, my favorite weapon in Morrowind. :D

He is also one of the few characters, that if you kill, altered the threads of fate.

Killing him was bad..very bad.At least thats what the popup insinuated in very vague terms like"You have altered the thread of fate do you wish to continue in this world you have just royally jacked over?"

Press A to continue or B to reload.

He is about 20 percent http://www.abload.de/img/fyr0bo0q.png than Chuck Norris, to be precise.
