So who is this Divayth Fyr?

Post » Fri Nov 16, 2012 1:49 am

I have not played morrowind.
I have done a bit of reading on Divayth Fyr, and I believe that the guy at the top of the Telvanni Tower is likely going to be Divayth Fyr. Maybe even one of his "daughters".
The dwemer artifacts, he is a member of house telvanni and the usep says he spends most of his time at the top of the tower.
So evidence shows. This is possible.

Is anyone excited about Divayth Fyr? What makes him great? Im not sure who he is tbh.

The only issue is, his tower was on the far east side of Morrowind. Solstheim is on the west.
So...Probably not his tower...And there are many Telvanni Towers, and many long lived wizards it could possibly be from House Telvanni.

He would never leave the Corprusarium. It is the results of his life's work, all 4000 years of it.

Besides, he could never get Yagrum to come along. Then who would he play checkers with?

He is a Dunmer wizard who has aged 4000 years. His basemant was called the Corpsarium (spelling might be wrong), and basically he is just this almighty wizard who was a fan favorite because the Daedric Crescent Blade was located in his tower. Pretty tricky to get, in my opinion

He's the legend.
You have to meet him in person to understand it.

Maybe he moved his work to Solstheim. The dwemer ruins is right next to the tower. He likes his dwemer research so maybe he moved here. Side quest for dwemer ruins and fyr maybe? Maybe its one of his daughters walking away from the village.

His work was with Corpus, he ran a sanctuary for the sick, and keeping the sick away from the healthy. And it's...highly doubtful he'd move it unless his tower was destroyed when Red Mountain blew.
Again, Telvanni Towers are very common on the east coast of Morrowind. It could be anyone.

He's one of the most badass people in all of Tamriel's history. 4000+ year old reclusive Telvanni counselor, collector of Daedric artifacts (Scourge, Daedric Cresent Blade, Cuirass of the Savior's Hide), owner of Morrowind's only complete set of Daedric armor (outside of helm/shield), cared for and befriended the only living Dwemer in existence (at least he was around during Morrowind), ran a corprusarium, literally grew a bunch of "daughters" to live with him, and allowed thieves to freely try to plunder his possessions for entertainment. If they succeeded, they could walk away freely, as the Nerevarine does.

Oh yeah, it's also possible he's explored several planes of Oblivion on his own accord. If he is in Dragonborn, I bet he's the one who figures out how to travel to Hermaeus Mora's realm.

He liked collecting dwemer artifacts. The table is full of them. First of all, honest question, was there anyone else who collceted dwemer artifacts? Like other towers? villages etc

It was considered illegal, actually if I'm remembering right.
There was a quest or two had dealt with people selling Dwemer items "black market"

Master Aryon? Baladas Demnevanni? Edwinna Elbert?

Anyway, if Fyr would want to move to Solstheim, taking the Corprusarium along wouldn't be outside of his powers...

The card of all cards. He's basically the Elminster of Morrowind. Doesn't give a flying [censored] about anything, lives in his crazy wizard autocracy doing things no one could even try to fathom, created clones of himself (which he regularly has six with), and turned his plague ozzing zomby nersery into a deadly ass dungeon out of sheer boredom. Also houses the last known Dwoemer in existance.

Basically, he's who you wish you were.

And It wouldn't be that much of a stretch for him to come back in Dragonborn. God, I hope he does. One of my favorite characters. I'm pretty sure one of the major factors of the Telvanni's survival through Morropocolypse was Divayth Fyr. Hell, I bet he has to deal with exploding volcanoes and argonian invasions at least once every century.

There's one reason why the Telvanni were the only surviving house, and one reason only. Divayth. [censored]. Fyr.

When he is concerned, a meeting in a game set a few millenia after Skyrim wouldn't be a stretch ;)

I'm pretty sure one of the major factors of the Telvanni's survival through Morropocolypse was Divayth Fyr. Volcano's and Argonian armies aren't [censored] to him.
We don't know whether he could be bothered to notice the eruption/Argonians ;)

He also had the Best Medium Armor Trainer in Morrowind working for him as "Dockmaster". SHe was quite bugged, however, and didn't always appear.

She wasn't bugged - someone simply deleted her from the game. Various mods brought her back however.

He's like one step below a living god. I also refuse to believe he's dead at the time of Skyrim. Not even the red mountain crisis could stop him... He's out there. The question is where?

go play Morrowind. You are not worthy to post in these forums until you do. It is people like you who call Reiklings goblins, or say, "the red mountain".

But seriously, you are missing out of you haven't played Morrowind.

Divayth Fyr is probably the best Dunmer name in existence. I used to steal it for my Oblivion Characters.

Who is Divayth Fyr you ask?

Let's just say that when Mannimarco was learning magelight he was crashing a party with summoned dremoras in silly hats.
