Who is truly stronger? possible spoiler

VL or Werewolves which is stronger in actual stats? Don't forget to take into account the obtainable blood rings and blood amulets.

I'd put my money on the Vampire Lord. If the Werewolf gets too close, Grip it, then toss it aside while bombarding it with your drain life spell.

Master werewolf all the way!!! The VL feels slow and clunky compared to a werewolf, by the time a VL gets a bead on the werewolf it's game over.

Vamp Lord. Even after all the werewolf perks Vamp Lord would kick his ass.

I suppose it depends on whether or not the Werewolf got the drop on the Vampire Lord. However, without the element of surprise, the Vampire Lord would win every time. I think open terrain would prove to be the Werewolf's greatest ally.

However, it is hard to sneak up on a Vampire Lord when they can sense life in all directions for a considerable distance...

If you cure yourself of Werewolfism or VL do you also lose the perks you earned.

I think so, though I cannot be certain...

Not a chance in hell !! The werewolf is way to fast to get a proper bead on it, by the time you actually line up for a strike I'll be in your face EATING IT  I have already destroyed your " all powerful " Lord Harkon while in werewolf form, what chance does a normal VL have against me a master werewolf.

Funny, I have killed Lord Harkon both as a Vampire Lord and as a normal necromancer with lots of fire! (the second was easier). I think we all know that truly the winner in any fight is the Necromancer.

As long as you have corpses to aid you, you remove the copses and a necromancer is just a goth mage . Besides I average about 30-40 NPC's on my hunts, so unless you come across a war zone your not gonna have enough back up to stop me :drag:

Sonny, I eat werewolves for breakfast and Dragons for dinner as a vampire lord....and I do so with only my claws and no magic. XD
Vampire lord is superior for two reasons, one: they are very strong and possess poisoned talons and two, they are second generation Volkihar vampires, Harkon and his family being the first and Molag Bal being the source.
Now werewolves are powerful creatures but unless you spam your power attacks and run and attack it, they stand little to semi-moderate chance against a vampire lord

I don't need corpses. Have you been to the Soul Cairne recently? There's some fun spells to learn there. Game plan, summon Undead, turn invisible, wait until they die. Rinse, cycle, repeat.

I no longer need to spam my powers, I can call in 2 werewolves to aid or I can just go toe to toe. It's my power swipe that you should worry about, if I get you on your back it's game over in seconds. Or I can have a little fun and play with my prey a little before I kill it.
Legendary dragons are a joke as a werewolf, you can still out run them if you choose to and when their on the ground all you need to do is avoid the mouth and the tail. Stay at their side and slash away, if they try to take off then I power swipe to keep them in spot. Both my paws are doing around 160 damage ( I don't remember the exact number ) and I can swing them as fast as a pair of daggers, if I use the brother hood howl then that adds an additional 4 paws all doing the same amount of damage, all swinging just as fast and all able to do the same power swipe. Right now with the perk tree filled out I have 600-700 stamina, and 500-600 health plus the Lord stone then you add in the fact that I'm an Orc that can use Beserker rage before changing into a werewolf and I can cast Dragonhide before changing, there isn't anything any VL can do that will even dent my werewolf. :bunny: :drag:

Invisible won't save you, we have our new totem of the predator which allows us to detect life just like the VL. I'll just focus in on you

Definitely VL unless werewolves get the drop.

I don't need to get the drop on a VL, I'm agile enough as a werewolf that I can close the gape with a little tactics.

There's no downsides to being a Werewolf. None. The Well Rested bonus is a joke, and I gladly relinquish the ability to sleep well for superior speed, superior strength, and a resistance to all diseases.

Being a werewolf is the way to go, especially if one wants to be a Vampire Hunter. Think about it, Werewolves are the greatest hunters in all of Tamriel. Packs of Vampires don't stand a chance against a Werewolf. Just knock them back and maul them. Run around, dodge, lunge at them. We may not have magic or powers.... but our strength and speed makes us superior.

Shame there is no multiplayer to test that lol and you said you used howls, I never need magic or anything other than claws to take out dragons or werewolves of higher levels as a vampire and in terms of sheer advantages, VL is superior, however, they also have the most disadvantages such as sunlight, fire and get extra damage from silver/dawnguard weaponry.

No question that both creatures are powerful but speaking in terms of powers and attacks, Vampire lord is the stronger one, their claws can poison you, they can heal with power attacks and can have a field of bats around them. They can hover over water and therefore move faster than anything that needs to swim.
Werewolves are strong and can knock creatures flying and like you said though, once a werewolf gets something on it's back it is usually game over but that won't be a fair fight if you do not let your opponent even get up or have a chance to engage you in fair combat and so that would forfeit a fair one on one fight between a vampire lord (no magic) and a werewolf (no running attacks or knock back/down attack ) and would not count as a victory.

In terms of a full on fight with all tactics and a werewolf could be allowed to use its knockdowns and ragdoll attacks etc and where a vampire lord can use its magic, vampire lord would be superior since they can telekinetically throw a werewolf around and even kill it instantly by throwing it down a mountain or stairs. A werewolf that got the drop on it and/or used its attacks first though is another story and if you keep attacking it while its down or knocking it down again then a werewolf would win. In the end, they are both powerful dangerous creatures with their own advantages and disadvantages. It also depends on the player's skill. We could wait for a youtube video to pit them against eachother as there is someone who does requests. In one video, the wild vampires who cannot turn into VL wiped the floor with the werewolves when they were pitted against each other.

Vampires can easily kill werewolves just as much as vice versa but since they were created by hircine, of course they would be superior hunters but that does not make them superior monsters. Volkihar master vampires can be lethal if you ain't prepared for them. Werewolves, I have never had trouble dealing with them.
