There are a few reasons Serana might be nice to the player all depending on how you play and how you view the game.

She might be nice to you and like you because you are nice to her and treat her decently. That one is pretty logical.

Then you may ask "What of those who play a jerk and don't treat her all that nicely?" well the simple answer is self preservation and picking the lesser of two evils.

Even if you are rude and not all that easy to get along with there is the simple fact that a dike is still a hell of a lot better than a psychotic immortal who wants you dead so he can set his crazy plan in motion.

She still tells her mother that you treated her better in a short time she knew you then they both combined.

Also you forgot to mention that it may be puppy love cause yours is the first blood she tasted in many milenias
