all the quest ones ive experienced with the dialogue failing like the darkness returns after listening to the nocturnal karliah does not say anything to me other than "yes fellow nightngale" and makes me trapped in the room. ive experienced some lag in the games but nothin like the glitches for the quests and some dragons flying a little [censored] lol

Anyone else have an issue after completing the quest "The Silver Hand?" For some reason I can't toggle the POV.

ok, this is the first time i've experienced this, but when i go to enchant an item, i use an enchanting postion, enchant the item, then suddenly, my enchanting skill drops to zero. i was previously level 95 and my alchemy is at 89. i've spent a great deal of time leveling those two skills up specifically. now, i was lucky to notice right away, and saved just before enchanting, but it doesn't matter what i do, after i enchant something my skill drops to zero (but still claims i'm lvl 95 enchanter). what the hell ya'll?

For the first time in 170 hours of gameplay, I killed a dragon that did not give up its soul and did not decay either. So, that bug still isn't totally fixed.

-"Hitting the Books" Clearing Fellglow Keep prior to the quest can make the entrace freeze during it


Quick note about this one - Whenever I reach the last step at the top of the staircase before the door for the Ritual Chamber, my game crashes. If I make it to the top step, a follower does, if I conjure something past the last step, shoot an arrow past it, etc. Any movement past the top step crashes the game and corrupts the last save.

I have never been to Fellglow Keep before this quest. I have not updated my game past the original out of the box version.
I've had Orthon with me and without me. I've let him live and die. I've tried with and without followers. The game always crashes when I get to that top step.
This is my second play through; my first play through had no issues with this quest.

Daedric Quests:
-"Boethiah's Calling" after killing cultists may not trigger Boethiah to appear
-"Boethiah's Calling" Boethiah may appear but can't talk to the player

Figured I'd make a separate post for a different bug.
On "Boethiah's Calling", when Boethiah is speaking to you, the screen gets a weird fishbowl view to it. If you leave the area before Boethiah stops talking to you and the screen returns to normal, the screen will stay like that permanently.

I was recently doing one of the many find & Fetch quests for TCOW: "Valuable Book Procurement". Urag Gro-Shub sent me to Geirmund's Hall (The Rift). I had previously cleared it with Side Quest: "Forbidden Legend".

Once inside, all the Draugr (ie all types) would "explode" on death as if they were using Unrelenting Force. Books, pots, junk are all sent flying in every direction on my deathstroke and a blue power halo radiates out from where they stand in all directions. A bit like Dawnbreaker that was in my inventory but not equiped. Also Dawnbreaker requires a number of kills before the effect works as opposed to every kill. I am using custom enchanted weapons. Paralyze/Lightning and Soul Trap/Fire.

Also my game began to slow down and almost stop in that dungeon in various places. After that the game kept crashing in external cells if I entered combat. I switched off and reloaded a save a few times and eventually everything seems ok now. But it's a bit worrying.

I didn't experience it the first time I went through Geirmunds Hall.

On "Lights Out Quest" Dark Brotherhood Initiate follower will not leave Broken Oar Grotto. She's not stuck in any geometry she just doesn't never arrives when you exit to Skyrim. Had to dismiss her.

Wow I've noticed some of these but I thought they weren't important. I have had a few of the side quest bugs especially the 'no one escapes Cihdna mines' where I've lost main items. Also I've seen the water disappear as well.

One thing I've seen is mud crabs and some other small creatures will be stuck under the ground however they can still attack you, or, if you kill a mud crab it sinks below the floor.

Some of these are pretty minor, so keep up the great work Bethesda.

The Staff of Magi quest glitched. I cannot kill Ancano. He is immortal. I used the staff on the orb. Then went after him when the orb closes. He takes zero damage from any and all magic, blades, magic blades, whatever. It's a joke. I've recharged the staff of Magus three times. He's glitched. So thank you for not locking the exit. I just left him in there. End of quest line. The Mages guild quests are fubared. I'm banning magic in the realm.

Nevermind: reloaded and earlier save and it didn't glitch this time. He actually was solid this time. In the previous time he wasn't solid. Rule: save and save often.

FYI: I had done it just as in the videos on how to kill Ancano. Used the staff on the orb + activate orb to close. I soul trapped him in a black soul gem. Tolfir made the final kill. I now have a sword named "Ancano".

Sad to hear lad.....i remember when i complete this quest that for the first three times i tried to attack him he would not take no damage .....then i let those anomalies to attacked him and after hitting the orb with the staff i came after him and he finally took damage and i have to say he was fairly easy to kill.....work it out and dont jump to him since the biggining ...let all the lines to be completed when this guy comes in before the light explosion .....and then shoot the orbe with the staff ..let the anomalies to come out and attack him and urself as well.....and then go for him....

The problem im having right now is with the thieves guild ...i completed the main 11 quests from the guild and right after completing "darkness returns" i thought that talking to http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:Brynjolf would open "under the new managment" ..now, let me clarify when i completed the main quests i never did any of the extra works from delvin or vex ....my inquiry is simple , i havent been prompt yet to the "under the new manageement " i have to admit i havent completed all the special jobs for the main cities yet ( i was just given the markarth special job only) but im not sure if the quest should have triggered already or it does once you complete all special jobs for the 4 main cities and of course 5 small jobs in each of those cities ....any feedback pals?????

I'm also very much interested in what the gentleman above is asking about.

There's so much talk about issues with the Thieves Guild quests that I'm totally confused and not sure if I got a bug or not. I've done 11 Guild quests, although not all the special jobs if I recall properly, and Under the New Management hasn't started so far.

The thieves guild took 5 loads to get Karliah to show up so I could end it. She would walk out and dissapear as soon as the dialog started. No idea how I got it to work, but it finally did.

The 2 quests I wish were not totally broken are Walking Nightmare (Erandur disappears completely) and Siege on the Dragon Cult (the glass claw door rings don't turn at all).

I'm digging this game but the glitches are getting old.

There are lag issues as well the xbox 360 and sometimes in different dungeons and locations I see my elf running vvverrry slowly. At different loading screens my game freezes up. So I hope that with this new patch it will fix some of this.

I've run in to a Bug in one the Companions Radiant Quests, Rescue Mission.

Rescue Mission decided to Kidnap Belethor (from the general goods store in whiterun) and placed him in Broken Fang Cave (a small vampire dungeon west of whiterun). When I clear the dungeon of enemies Belethor goes to stand by a cage and my quest updates telling me to talk to Belethor, unfortunately Belethor will not respond, ever.

I've reloaded save games, unfortunately I allowed some time to pass between acquiring the quest and actually doing it, so I have no save before accepting the quest. I've checked uesp and followed the only workaround showed there but to no avail. I've tried everything I can think of (including killing him, or damaging him) and he just won't talk.

Oddly enough the Master Vampire in this dungeon appears to share the same voice actor as Belethor, not sure if that could have anything to do with it.

Aside from console commands (obviously out of the question) is there a way to continue? The only thing I haven't tried is failing the quest, will that work, and allow me to repeat it still?

I see that the ash pile bug has been fixed.

I did not see the issue resolved where the enemies are not properly respawning. I go to an area kill the enemies on the outside if a dungeon and they do not respawn ever. Most of the dungeons say they are cleared except one, Fort Greymoore.

I also did not see a fix for weapons and arrows being cleaned up from the world properly. The enemies drop or fire just stay in place forever. The bound arrows also litter the ground everywhere. After they are on the ground for a while they begin to float above the ground.

Third I did not see a fix for the save files. If your save file trails off the screen they disappear, yet they are still there if I save from 600 to 620 I will only be able to see 610 to 620. If I delete some saves the older saves will reappeaer but I rid have save 601 disappeaer as I was deleting and reappear when I deleted two more saves. Also if I overwrite one save it overwrites a completely different file.

Last I did not see a fix for the exploding item bug that makes it impossible to decorate and set up your house. You set up items and they end up in the floor. Also the claws move like they have minds of their own and the Dibella statues disappear from your home.

Xbox 360: Crash is occurring when entering Items/Magic Menus after a skill boosting potion effect has worn off

Repro Steps:
1. Launch Skyrim on 360 with gamesave and profile both stored on a Flash Drive. (No HDD)
2. Create New Game and Progress until reaching 100 Alchemy Skill
3. Get all Alchemy Perks
4. Create a Fortify Sneak Potion
5. Drink the Potion
6. Wait for the Fortify Sneak Potion's effect to wear off
7. Once the effect has worn off, Open the Magic or Items Menu

Actual Results:
Crash occurs while after selecting to open the menu

Notes:
Is occurring 100% of the time for me
Have tried this in quite a few locations including the Skyrim Exterior
I am using a Local Profile, with no network connection to my box
Let me know if you have any other questions!
I also hooked my 360 up to the network and I am running with the latest patch (1.03 I think)

Dead Men's Respite - ring door stuck on all dragons, so player is stuck in tomb with no exit, loading a previous save doesnt work.

there are a few of us here on the forums that have had or still have this problem. i made the mistake as i got higher in rank i started saving less and less so i had no way out of tomb, i was forced to completely restart with new character.

Return to Grace - greta doesnt except amulet of talos from her beheaded brother can not complete quest

Riften Ratway - None of the corpses of the enemies that I have killed in the Ratway are disappearing. I must have killed them over 150 gameplay hours ago.

Helgen - I returned after around 130 hours of gameplay and none of the corpses of items had vanished, even though new enemies had re-spawned.

I imagine there are a lot of locations where the corpses and items do not clean up at all. It seems a bit unnecessary really and surely allowing places to clean up after a set amount of time would free up game memory to improve performance etc. It's especially irritating in a place like the Riften Ratway where I have to walk past the same corpses every time I want to visit the thieves guild.

Hi, i'm sorry for my bad english but i'll try to do my best to explain my "bug".

Early in the game i have kill the dragon at "Bonestrewn" (crête de l'ossuaire in french). Then time has pass... Doing my quest and stuff like that... Blabla. And i've got a new quest from the Jarl of Windhelm (Vendeaume), in this quest i have to kill the dragon at bonestrewn... But he did'nt pop... I try to go there every time i can, between all my other travels... I tried maybe 100 or 200 times, 50-60 hours (of real life game play) have past, but still not poping. Other dragon spot (pic mistral, cisaille, etc...) all the dragon repop EVERY time. But not mine.... I want my house in Windhelm ffs ! :P

I hope my english was'nt so bad, and did'nt burn your eyes...
