Xbox 360 Bug Report Topic v2

Post » Mon May 21, 2012 3:21 am

Last night I was doing the quests fort he Companions and Aela gave me a quest (Retrival) to get a fragment of the Axe. But when I select quest in journal it does not shows on my map. If i try to follow the arrow on my navigation screen it takes me to an area with Giants even though the quest says its on Swindlers Den. I tried to going to the den but found nothing and when I exited the cave I appeared by the giants area which is way far away from the den. Bethesda should add the option to remove a quest from your journal.

Would you include that the misc. Objective "Speak to Tonilia about exchanging a piece of armor" is impossible if you no longer have the armor, which in turn makes it impossible to finish the Thieves guild questline? Idk, it should be possible to buy a replacement set or something I guess...
Realistically, do you think they'll fix this?

Thieves Guild Questline. "Dampened Spirits"

After completing the special jobs in each city, the new fences refuse to engage me in dialogue. For instance, if I talk to Mallus Maccius at Honningbrew Meadery, he keeps saying generic lines about how he can buy stolen goods from me, but it's impossible to actually start a conversation with him so I can't sell anything. It's too bad; I was really looking forward to having more fences.

This is a follow-up post to a problem I had with the Hard Answers quest for the thieves guild.

So I originally completed this specific quest and went on to finish the other thieves guild quests without a problem. The thing is, Gallus's journal was stuck in my inventory and it wouldn't let me get rid of it due to being a quest item. I went back into the Dwemer museum later in the game and upon entering it, "Hard Answers" reactivated. I didn't do anything about it until a couple days ago when I decided to see what would happen if I tried completing it again. I ran through the museum that was devoid of enemies, got another rubbing of the text (without charcoal or paper in my inventory), brought it to Karliah and Enthir who were still in the basemant in Winterhold and was able to complete the quest again and even received a second Nightingale Blade as reward. Now I have two, woot!~

Gallus's journal was still stuck in my inventory as well so I decided to give it another try but on entering the museum again, the quest was not reactivated a third time.

My character's arms are literally detached from the rest of my body when in first person view. For example, when readying a bow and arrow, there is a blank space between my arm and the bottom of the television screen. The draw-string of the bow is also visible when it normally should not be seen.

Basically, the camera seems to have been "pulled back" as if I were in third-person view, except I'm actually in first-person view. Although it sounds like a minor glitch, it's actually quite problematic as the aiming is affected. I can barely see the cross-hair when I'm trying to aim a bow.

It also occurs when I'm holding one-handed weapons and fist-fighting.

I've tried re-loading previous saves, but the bug seems to have infected all of my saves from the past 30 hours. I'm 95 hours in, and I really don't want to re-do everything.

I read that something like this happens while wearing Linwe's armor set. Have you been wearing this set for the past 30 hours of gameplay? If not, then I'm clueless about how to fix it.

@Tommysonic5.... wow, I have this same problem with the arms missing, but I can see the gloves I am wearing, and I am wearing some of Linwe's armor. I think you might have nailed it.

The only reason I don't complain about it is because I think it looks cool.

Lydia stopped following me in Solitude. I tried "Wait here." "As you with my thane." "Follow me." "As you will my thane. I shall defend you with my life." She remained stuck in one spot. I fast traveled to the Blue Palace. And she remained in the same place in Solitude. Then I fast traveled back to Whiterun, and she went with me. I left her in Breezehome since it was too much of a bother looking for her all the time. She did not seem to have her feet buried in the map texture.

Already reported, but the HOUSE OF HORROS bug is really annoying.the Vigilant dude wont move or say anything once I enter the abandoned house and Molag Bal doesnt say anything. killing the vigilant allows me to reach Molags altar. after reaching the altar and speaking to him, i cant leave the house! it says that the door is locked and i need a key.

hopefully beth does something about this, the latest patch is completely useless. this bug pretty much ruined the game for me since i turned off autosave at the very beginning. GOTY my ass.

More on the "Ill Met by Moonlight" quest... Once I was to kill Sinding, I did not get a quest marker telling me to go to the cave, so I went back into the prison where he was before. Sinding was still in his cell but now in werewolf form. I killed him with a bow through the bars, but could not reach to skin him. I tried exiting and once I returned a new, living werewolf spawned, standing over the last one's corpse. Reloaded to before I killed Sinding #1 but he was still in the prison cell and not in the cave.

Another small home glitch... sometimes when loading a save where I was inside my house, my purchased furniture disappears. Fixed each time by reloading the save. I've only experienced this in the Markarth house so far, but it happens almost every time I load a save in there.

"The Cursed Tribe"

I can't see this bug listed anywhere else, but when I headed to the Orc compound a dragon appeared as well as the Giant and attacked and killed the Orcs inside. None of them would talk to me to begin the quest due to the Dragon being there, and then yeah, he killed all the Orcs except for the chief lying on his bed in the house. So I left the place and did other quests and returned, and it's deserted - the gates are open, no sign of Atub's living body by the gates let alone his dead body on the ground, so how on earth do I trigger the quest to start?

This is the last Daedric item I need (I've earnt the Skeleton Key too but understand this doesn't count as one of the fifteen for the achievement)...

Cheers,
Craig

"The Numbers Job" On the one where you go to the Bunkhouse in Riften, The Quest marker leads you to a crate upstairs, however the ledger is on the table downstairs, even when the ledger is found you cannot use it. Your only option is to quit the job.

Speech perk: Investor; The alchemy store in solitude will accept your money over and over, however it will not retain any of the new funds, thus you are giving money to give money.
Markarth: The smith allows the first dialog, however the one of the following follow-up dialog options is missing, the one that allows you to actually invest your money.

Pickpocket: Fortifications may result in lowered success rate, not just from the perks, potions and items(legit) trigger this as well.

Accidentally hitting a follower with the "Marked For Death" shout permanently reduces their armor rating below zero once the effect wears off.

Originally reported and confirmed on PC by someone else, but I've Also had it happen on 360. Vilkas wearing Ebony Armor smithed up to Legendary dies instantly with one shot from my bow.

I have been playing this game so far on Xbox 360 and it is fine most of the time. However, I did come across this glitch on the "Blood on the Ice" quest. I was dying (literally, I had to slowly walk to get to places) to find a house to put my heavy stuff (like the essential thieves guild armor) so that there is more weight for me to put stuff in. I bought the house in Windhelm either before or during the "Blood on the Ice" quest initiation. I then was playing that quest fine until I realized that the Calixto guy ends up going into the Hjerlim house and it says (the second Blood on the Ice set, where the wizard was found innocent) to "Catch the murderer". I go into the house to try to kill Calixto, but to no avail, he doesn't die. I lower his health once and then he stops attacking me until I enter this house again. I tried talking to Jorleif (the steward) but nothing about the quest really comes up. Now, every time I enter the bough house in Windhelm, I have to attack this Calixto dude before he kills me! Now, I can't finish this quest. (Though I WAS able to decorate the entire house). Is there anything that I could do to get out of this situation? I'll be awaiting a patch so that I could get past this side quest!!

Post patch 1.3 reaching 100 skill in Smithing no longer allows you to fortify smithing beyond 101. All items cannot be smithed past epic or flawless. The game seems to ignore all fortify smithing gear.

None of my wives ever goes to sleep. No matter what I do, no matter the time. Waiting simply resets their daily routine. Often shops do not open at the right hours. sometimes they will not open until late in the evening. There was one point where the general goods store in Windhelm would not open at all. Which is annoying if you are doing the quest for the guy.

OH MY GOD YES!

Haha sorry for the excited response, but I was wearing Linwe's armor set when it occurred. I've since switched back to Master Thieve's Guild Armor, but I have yet to test it. Hopefully switching the armor set corrects the glitch.

Thanks!

Left-handed weapon use seems to be incomplete; improvements to power attacks change no animations, there are no Finishing Blow animations, no sprinting power attacks, and you only get one swing animation which is overall slower than using a weapon right-handed. As a lefty who has mild OCD, I find this extremely annoying.

In addition to this, I am stuck at level 1 Slow Time and level 2 Fire Breath; subsequent Word Walls did not activate properly, claiming I had learned a new word but giving me none.

Last night, paying for a Conjuration training session with Phinis Gestor didn't raise my skill at all (but I still lost the gold). My current skill is 68 - well within his training threshold. Reloading from a previous autosave did not fix this.

When you take the Left Eye of the Falmer from Mercer Fray's body, it does not trigger the misc objective to sell it to Delvin Mallory. This seems to only happen to me if I have previously sold more than one Larceny Target to Delvin at one time. If I sell them one at a time, as I find them, then I can sell the Left Eye of the Falmer to him.

College of Winterhold :
Good Intentions quest : when speaking with Quaranir in front of the arch mage he freezes time and the view changes blueish, brightly saturated and blurry at any distance over 20ish feet from the player. after completing the whole questline my vision is still blurry, no scenery can be appreciated and figures in large rooms or caverns can be hard to make out, which is tough for archery. first time playing on 360 if only i had access to a console!
