Okay, i didn't read every post to see if this is a duplicate. I did read the first 3 pages and did not see it. I leave my room in Novac and go downstairs and sell/buy from the traveling merchant that is in the courtyard. A few seconds after i hit X to complete the transaction the music stops and the game freezes.

If all ready mentioned then sorry, Dept collecting quest, unable to access casino in Freeland to complete quest. Game freezes

You have 2 options for this problem.

#1) The best option. When you pick up the Debt Collector quest stay in Freeside and use the wait feature (one hour at a time) until you see his quest marker show up in Freeside. Kill him in Freeside and you won't have this problem.
#2) Work around option. If reverting to an earlier save is not an option, then go to Crimson Caravan and look for a vendor in the yard there named Blake. Buy the Old Cowboy Hat and wear it when you enter the strip either from the north gate or when exiting a casino.

@Stray: That's an annoying issue for sure. However, there's no need to use traveling merchants, especially when you can get more caps from vendors of factions your idolized with. I'm not justifying this bug, just offering my advice until it's fixed.

@Nugg: That svcks. At least it's not a main story quest, although it does lead to one of the best story lines in the game.

I have one related to the "Wheel of Fortune" quest. I get to the point where you have to ask Boxcars where the rad suits are, but there is only one dialog option with him: goodbye. I've gone to the cave that was supposed to have the suits, but there's only one rad suit there, and grabbing that doesn't complete anything in the quest. So I can't advance any farther in this quest. I've seen people on other boards with this same problem as well.

Posting this again so it makes the list.

had this bug too. got tired of running in circles. checked the guide, looks like there is suppose to be another footlocker but isnt there. killed boxcar. moved on. then after clearing vault 3 (no quest was given yet) and releasing the captives, one speaks to me and as soon as xp points appear on the bottom right corner showing that i earned them, if freezes. on top of all this, most traveling merchants make my game freeze as soon as i go through a door, sleep, wait whatever, i have to reboot. so now i kill all traveling merchants to avoid this and get extra loot. my weapon raises and blocks the screen when crouching so i cant see to the right. ed-e get hostile when he returns to primm after being lost. im so sick of this. never had issues (not major ones anyway) with oblivion or fallout 3 and all dlc. this is unacceptable. you would think they would catch most of this crap.

I didn't see this listed in the bug list.

I seem to be stuck inside the storage building on Black Mountain. I went in there and activated the robot (rhonda), then I was just picking up everything. After a minute or so, Tabitha came into the building, so I killed her, and picked up her keys, and got everything else in the building. Then when I went to leave, the door doesnt open when I click the A button. Any ideas?

After completing the quest 'The Coyotes' the game has decided to freeze a few seconds for me after I enter inventory. It started doing this when I confronted the two guys, so I tried not confronting them and just giving the evidence to Captain Parker. Same problem happens. If I open a crate, bag or container, game freezes. If I open my inventory the game will freeze. When fighting Saint James and Dermot, Dermot got stuck in a wall in the building he was next to. This quest seems to be severely bugged. Just letting you know. Also, after missing the first event for Silver Rush, I am unable to do anything with the shop as the guards shoot me on site when entering, and the guy outside does not ask for my weapons.

Will someone please confirm this bug?

After recruiting Fisto the sixbot, this happens inside the Atomic Wrangler:

1) Walk up to Fisto and press A to talk.
2) He says, "Greetings. Fisto is programmed to please."
3) Choose "Maybe later."
4) He says, "Very well. Please return if you require further service."
5) 10 Bottle Cap(s) added.

It may also happen right after recruiting it or before it gets to the Atomic Wrangler (haven't tested).

It seems if I "accidentally" purchase caravan cards I already own that the game freezes on exiting/after barter screen. If anyone else has experienced this let me know. I don't think the roaming woman trader is glitched, just if I have more than one of each caravan card or maybe it's a particular caravan card I don't know

NCR Troops attack without cause

I've read on many forums (PC, XB360, and PS3) that players are being unexplainably attacked by NCR. It happened to me at level 6. I ran to a group of roaming NCR troops with Legion Assassin's on my tail. The assassin's annihilated the NCR troops but the NCR troops did enough damage that I was able to finish the assassin's off. I picked up NCR armor and dog tags and put it on. I took it off. Now I can't be seen by NCR troops unless I have NCR armor on or they will start blasting at me. I think I'll have to restart and never touch NCR or Legion armor ever. I presume there is a bug that is qued by putting on faction armor that makes NCR eternally hostile to the player. I've tried continueing the game by running away and avoiding all NCR troops, but I'm afriad it will be difficult to finish the game with very good karma unless I'm wearing NCR armor the entire game.

No, I'm not wearing Legion anything when I see NCR.
No, I never pissed off the NCR (I'm level 6 and have been nothing but helpful to NCR)
No, I haven't pick pocketed, attacked, or been aggressive in conversation with NCR.
No, I don't have any party members.
Yes, my weapon is hostered when I see NCR.

My reputation with NCR is Nuetral.

Did you include:

companions going missing when told to return to lucky 38. Rex is missing. (haven't had problem with them returning to their origins).

Marker point in Freeside for sixbot points you to same gate and not accurate location on map (go through door, marker directs you to go back through it).

Helios one NCR attack even when avatar is idolized (this might be due to wearing NCR armor earlier but wearing everything from faction friendly armor to simply underwear still attracts an attack) when revisiting. Dependent on archimides Ii usage {can you arm for euclids-c without attacking NCR?)

Drifter guitarist (male) responds to lady killer dialog (rewards you with Mysterious Magnum).

Alpha male Deathclaw glitches in scaffolding in Quarry (which I appreciated)

Radscorpions frequently don't display HP (red bar but no hashes)

Van Graff armor isn't properly numbered in inventory (haven't tried to sell it but I looted one set from Simon and received second set for helping Van Graff quests). Able to give to companion but only appears as one set in inventory.

Looting is strangely imbalanced...you can GREEN lockpick rooms, RED loot, or kill enemies but lose karma with RED looting.
Best example: Ultra-luxe sauna- left bench GREEN right BENCH red. Segregation intentional?

Framerate reduction seems progressive after 5 hours of steady gameplay. (maybe even usage suggestions as HDD versus Disc tests seem to prove the same.

Loading screen time increases as well with longer play (from :30-1:30)

Companions not staying with party or simply staying in place even when left in FOLLOW (typically follow when re ordered)

Logan missing when looting irradiated town, police station empty but quest still directs you to loot with Logan {sorry forgot town name and quest, SE map}

Single Deathclaw spawn inside Raul's Shack (biggest surprise of the night)

Selling/trading the faction apparel that you are currently wearing causes the 'you are no longer dressed as a member of this faction' message box to appear, but it does not have the focus, so pressing A trades/sells the items in the trade window, which is now in the background, and B doesnt work so you can't quit the sell/trade window or the message box.
I have no idea how to get rid of this, i just spam buttons untill it goes away. I think pressing the start button causes the change in focus.

Also, make the souvenir rockets droppable after giving the sufficient amount to that scientist that thinks he's a ghoul, or at least after the quest is completed . . .

EDIT: When gaining access to the strip for the first time, after the securitron let me pass, they became hostile ONLY towards the NCR trooper that was in my party (called with the NCR radio thing)

There's been issues with cards not going in your caravan deck. So you'll see them on your "items" list when you open a container or talk to a vendor. What I did to solve that was I procured Ringo's deck and I just use that. Although I don't even play caravan yet.

This makes sense. IIRC NCR troops are not allowed to be armed on the strip. So if the ones you radio in are armed then the securitrons will become hostile.

Ok so on the mission whear mr house asks you to kill the brotherhood of steel. Upon entering, the brotherhood strips you of all your gear and then tells you that you have to get rid of the ranger snooping around the valley. After that your given the task of retrieving the holo tapes from the three missing brotherhood groops. Now when I leave to go do this all of my invintory is missing and Canot be retrieved and I am left with only my miscalanious items not including my empty shells... Got to keep my re-breather though and my ncr emergency radio

I can't seem to activate For Auld Lang Syne, no matter how many "points" I get with Arcade Gannon.

You have to be at a certain point in the main story quest. I can't remember off the top of my head which quests need to be completed, but I believe it's Render Unto Caesar if you're siding with the Legion, and For The Republic Part II if you're siding with NCR. Not sure about House or Yes Man.

(Non-related, but a glitch nonetheless... Caravan is broken for me... it won't let me play ANY cards once I set my caravans... nothing, nada... no matter what the card.)

Make sure you're pressing down. The same thing happened to me in my first game of Caravan, until I realized that once you select the card, you have to push the left stick down (unless it's a non-ace face card), and it should turn green, indicating a legal move. If you're just moving the card side to side and not down at all, it thinks you're trying to attach it TO the card you started your caravan with, which is why you have to press LS down unless you're using a face card.

I really don't know how to illustrate it, but I hope you can kind of understand that, aha.

A glitch that was mentioned before, but I didn't realize how it happened.

During the quest "One For My Baby" you're tasked with finding information on who is responsible for Boone's wife disappearing. If you loot the safe in the lobby before you talk to No-Bark (which triggers the optional part of searching the lobby) then Jeanie May won't have the dialog option for her to follow you.

I equipped companion Cass with The Kings "Jialbreaker" outfit and she completely vanished before my eyes. :). I was still able to talk to her by moving my crosshair to where I had last seen her standing. Sure enough, she was there. I took the outfit back, and poof, she reappeared.

Not sure if anyone has had this problem or posted it yet.
Heading South from Nellis Air Force Base there is a train tunnel that requires a lockpick skill of 100 to enter. Upon entering and heading down the tunnnel there is a set of stairs on the right leading to an open doorway, first doorway on the right. When I tried to go up the stairs and into the doorway I fell down through the stairs and off the map! I would then be sent back to the beginning of the tunnel. I tried many different things to get through into the room but was unable, being sent back to the beginning of the tunnel each time. A feral ghoul actually became stuck in that section of the stairs as well. This is not a gamebreaker by any means but is frustrating nonetheless. If anyone with a lockpick of 100 can confirm this bug it would be much appreciated, thanks

Pretty common. Also - stick you head into the wall on the opposite side of tunnel and you will see the abyss to which you're falling, along with whatever is behind the curve of the tunnel.

Grim Reaper perk: half of the time AP are not restored on successful kill in VATS.
Level-up: every second time I have 15 points to redistribute (on on perk level -up), on every second time it is 16 points. I have the perk increasing number of points (Educated?).

I've run into a new bug where my hardcoe mode is broken, this occurred when starting a new game, appears to only affect the new game character.

My H20, Food, and Sleep meters do not go up any longer, confirmed to be in hardcoe from the start, Doctors Bag's still required for limb healing and sleep does not heal me as I would expect.

Can force my H20 to go up with alcohol, but will not raise on its own.

When you first start up your xbox and fallout look at the sun. Now go in a structure and then leave it tell me if the sun looks different because it looks different to me on both 360 and pc.

The level up thing is normal depending on what your Intelligence is. It's not a bug.

Also note that Grim Reaper only restores 20 AP on a successful VATS kill in this game, rather than ALL of it like it did in Fallout 3, so that may be what you're seeing. Again, not a bug because this is intentional and stated in the perk's description, although it does make the perk practically worthless and not worth taking in my opinion.
