Item bug: Buying caravan cards can cause the game to freeze, may be related to them not being added to inventory after purchase.
I encountered the bug after purchasing several cards from a wandering merchant at the bottom of the hill from the Mojave Outpost on the road.

Occasionally when drawing a 10mm modded with a laser sight it will not load the sight. Related to the issue with the weathered 10mm?

I've been reading the forums for some time now, and have not seen this one:

Whenever I click to wait, it says " you cannot wait in this location". Doesn't matter where I am at.

Don't think these ones have been mentioned:

BoS Safe House: Baby Deathclaw spawns just outside the building stuck in the rock face the 1st time I spawned in. Killed it no issues. Next time I spawned in the Deathclaw chased me inside the shack and down into the bunker itself. Now every 2 or 3 spawns the Deathclaw is either inside the shack or the bunker itself!! Not very bloody safe. lol :D

Regarding: The Strip black screening upon loading also corrupts auto-save.
I had this issue the 1st time I tried to go back into the strip. The work around I came up with was to use the Monorail to enter the strip from the NCR base.

What I don't understand I why would you put a game out in this bad a state and this is after there has been one patch already? Game breaking bugs, quest breaking glitches, game saves being corrupted! It's all because of money. There is no way they did not encounter any of these bugs when they tested the game if they even did. I believe that a formal apology should be given to all of us that bought this game any other product would have had to be recalled in such a broken state as to make it unusable. I don't see how they expect people to go out and buy their DLC when they can't even get their core software right!

Sorry Its just a rant. I have ran into so many bugs that I have just decided to shelve the game until the new patch is out. I would return it if it weren't for the return policy not allowing it.

I don't think this one was mentioned before. This affects the "Wang Dang Atomic Tango" side quest.

If you (mistakenly / cluelessly / like me) recruit both Santiago and Old Ben for "Smooth Talker / Real Boyfriend," you are supposed to talk to James Garret and tell him that whichever has agreed to work for him and you had already told him about one of them, there will then be no dialog option for that available, so not able to continue the quest. I may try what someone suggested elsewhere and killing one of them to see if the other will be able to take his place and I can continue. Otherwise, it's a lost cause for me 'cause I'm not going back THAT far!

UPDATE: If you successfully recruit the sixbot, the quest will complete even with 2 Smooth Talkers recruited.

Location "Nipton": Entering the town of Nipton (either by fast travel or walking in from any direction) freezes the game.

"Wild Card: Change In Management"

When entering the "off-limits" area of the Penthouse there is no resistance from the Securitrons (Post-"The House Always Wins, I), there is no option to disable security (Terminal by the Window). After disable/killing House and leaving there is only resistance form Victor, Jane and one other Securitron in proximity. I take them down which causes the Securitrons within the "off-limits" area to become hostile, after taking them down the ones in vicinity of the House Big Screen to become hostile following the rest. When all are wiped out and attempting to leave the penthouse there is no way to leave, it's as if without Victor there is no way out.

When attempting this quest pre-"The House Always Wins, I" all Securitrons become hostile but when done killing them I am able to leave and go on the strip. Unfortunately, any Securitron left in the Lucky 38 or on the Strip become hostile and after taking them down and going to see Yes Man, there is no option to get him to the Lucky 38.

Visual Bug: after starting the unlocking process (safes, doors, boxes etc) maybe in second or less appears blank green terminal screen in front of unlocking process screen. And it continues to appear on every lock until full exit from game.
Quest Bug: The House Always Wins, Part II. Can't upload the data from the chip to computer in army bunker (no option to do that), and no option to overload generators. To the moment Caesar is killed (and whole camp), Benny was killed at the first meeting at the Tops. Mr. House alive and The House Always Wins, Part I quest is completed.
NPC/Location Bug: Old Lady Gibson is missing. I believe that she didn't attack me and I didn't kill her. But maybe I'm wrong.
Quest Bug: Wheel of Fortune. No option in conversation with Boxcars about radiation suits. Quest Booted is completed. And I gave him Med-X (seems that giving Med-X causes the bug).

Impossible to save the president because of big bad bug.

It goes like this:

- defused bomb on vertibird
- killed the sniper on the tower
- went back down the stairs to the president -> autosave
- can't talk to anybody anymore, nobody does anything
- remembered that you have to use the radio to report the sniper
- went back to the radio on top of the tower with the dead sniper to report it -> radio just answers "not now" (translated from German)
- can't kill the second assasin without being shot by rangers

Only solution -> walk away, place mine in the way of the second assasin and hope it stops him -> quest failed, president dead

What????? Bomb was defused, Sniper dead and mine in the way of the second assasin.

My last savegame was 8 hours before the autosave.

How can this happen?

This is one of the storyline missions and it wasted my whole savegame just because I did not use the radio???

I can hardly find words how frustrated I'm about this.

I loved all Fallout games but a gamebreaking bug in a stroyline mission after exploring every single cave is more then the biggest fan can handle.

Please please fix this and restore my love for Fallout.

By the way I experienced a million more bugs. But I don't wanna complain to much about one of my favourite game of all times.

But seriously this can not happen with testing. It is so easy to find. I can't understand this. This is so sloppy.

weapon bug: i modded a hunting shotgun, a hunting rifle, and a laser rifle (the laser rifle with 3 mods) at the same time without closing my pip-boy. i then made a save. the hunting rifle was already mapped to my d-pad, but trying to assign the other weapons would freeze the game requiring a hard restart as soon as i pushed RB in menu. trying to equip the hunting rifle (from quick key) would freeze it. drawing the hunting rifle would freeze it. dropping the weapons on the ground and picking them up would still cause a freeze when pushing RB in menu or trying to draw a modded weapon. i put them all back in the cabinet in the novac motel room, closed the menu, then took them back out and this resolved the issue. it seemed once they left my inventory through a container menu, this stabilized them somehow. or, that one cabinet is some sort of scripting band-aid. if i had one in my room, i'd try putting my game disc in, then taking it back out :)

After getting the Rock It Launcher Scehematic I can not craft it at a workbench because it does not appear in the list.

"The Rock-it Launcher was cut during the development of Fallout:New Vegas, and so does not appear in said game. The non-functional schematics, however, can be found on a shelf in the left hangar of Nellis Air Force Base."

I did have a rant posted but instead I'm going to say don't copy and paste crap unless you name your source. Like, "Hey guys I found this info on the Fallout Wiki site." I searched your reply on Google to see if it had any backing and found it word for word on Fallout Wiki. I saw you had quotes but that is not enough. The reason is without the source, you are claiming it came from you and it didn't. Which in turn leaves people in the dark about how you know the info you're posting and where others can find it.

Also, there was no reason to post your reply. If I had found that info on my own I would still have posted it here as a bug. It does not work and the schematics should not be in the game with a list of ingredients to build if it does not exist. Therefore, it should still be considered a bug and taken out.

I've encountered an issue with swapping weapons mapped to the d-pad. If I initiate combat with a Deathclaw by throwing a stick of dynamite and then use the d-pad to change weapons it often does not switch. On several occasions it stays stuck on dynamite which resulted in my death. However when I respawned I then switch from dynamite to Pushy.

Another weird one with respect to dynamite is if I die throwing dynamite without attempting to switch weapons I will respawn and throw it. It seems like whatever you may have queued up in VATS carries over to the respawn if you die without the actions completing. This may occur with other weapons but I use VATS almost exclusively for dynamite and grenades for the accuracy.

Game Breaking Bug:

I lost about half of my reputations, as in they just completely disappeared. Not sure how this happened but it happened sometime after I had killed a veteran ranger with a sneak attack critical.

I am completely factionless at level 10 with every town or alliance hating me. So I've resorted to killing everyone in new Vegas for my third playthrough.

This bug I only had occur once, but still going to post it. I killed a quest npc and was killed in the process. The game loaded my last save and I received the message on my newly loaded game that I had failed a quest. I did not check to see if it was in my log, I just re-loaded again and went on with my game.

This problem is very similar to, but obviously not the same, as the problem with the Witch Hunt DLC for Bioware's Dragon Age Origins.

When that DLC first came out Morrigan would not properly respond to the player's character based on choices made in the main campaign. In addition to that, the game would not make a proper end-game save, which would prevent players from carrying over their full completed game to Dragon Age II.

While not everyone experienced this problem, BioWare was well aware of the problem and said they would fix it. They posted daily updates on their forums and even said that they were encountering some problems with the patch and that it would be delayed. And once it was released, guess what? They updated everyone on the forum.

This is a prime example of the path a developer should take when addressing problems with it's products.

While I still will probably buy future Bethesda games, they definitely won't be at launch and may even be second hand at GameStop. As for DLCs, I would still be undecided on that. I would again probably wait two or three months after the release to give Bethesda enough time to patch any bugs that are likely to be in the DLCs.

With the Quest of "birds in a feather" or something like that. I picked pocketed jean-baptiste and now he won't kill cass for the quest to be done. I am not sure if its a bug or not, but he doesn't have a weapon equipped but has one in his inventory when I look in it from pick pocketing.

Video Bugs: this one is on PC as well

1. When you go into Camp Guardian, occasionally your screen will become dark and blurry. It will remain this way unless you load a previous save.

http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1132305-weird-fuzziness/page__p__16598770__hl__camp%20guardian__fromsearch__1&#entry16598770

Questing Bugs:

"I Put a Spell on You"

1. Player enters the Radio Tower around 1 o'clock, the 'investigate' step of the quest registers as complete. If player leaves before overhearing the "bomb" dialogue and enters minutes later, NPC simply stands in place at the radio indefinitely without talking or moving until player ascends the stairs. FORCING player to confront and kill the traitor.

2. If the player boards the monorail, but steps off the train without defusing the bomb, the train takes off and explodes as expected. On loading the auto-save into the terminal, player cannot access the monorail. Before reaching the door to enter, the monorail takes off and explodes.

3. If player manages to make it to the monorail and jump in before it takes off, player can defuse the bomb and receive the bomb defusal dialogue, but on leaving the train, it drives off and explodes.

"Ed-E My Love"
1. If ED-E has anything in his inventory when he goes off for upgrade, it is lost.

General Annoyances:

1. there are several instances where a single response in a dialogue chain exits you out of the dialogue with no way to return and ask more questions. This may not be a bug, but it is certainly an annoyance.
2. Many rocks in the game hover above the ground, or the ground itself is missing a texture allowing player to see below the world or right onto the underlying texture.
3. Player can EASILY become lodged in invisible walls whilst trying to get to higher ground above hostile NPCs.
4.
