Xbox360 exclusive...Why? its the third DLC

I don't understand that logic. They mentioned it for the past two DLCs.

There will not be any statement.
Bethesda doesn't like talking.
They will release Dragonborn for PC on January 10th, saying "hey, look what we've got for you here!" and act like nothing ever happened.
PS3 will probably never be mentioned again.

Bonehead move on Beth's part to not take advantage of the Christmas season to push PC sales. They should fire their bean counters.

Maybe Bethesda originally thought that Hearthfire would end the exclusivity, but then Microsoft came and said "What the hell is this Bethesda? Are ye tryin' to rip me off? Gimme the real stuff and I won't beat da crap outta you, alright?"

Don't spread misinformation. Back it up with fact or don't post it at all.
lol you sound angry, I never claimed it was a fact, therefore it doesn't need citation. It is an educated guess, deal with it.

Was if Hearthfire was a mod in dlc form so it wasnt apart of the contract? :lightbulb:

Doest it matter all of you are going to buy it either way...

On Dec 4th, I'll buy it for full price on the PC. If for some reason it isn't available for PC users on that day, yes I'll still eventually buy it but after being exposed to spoilers it will only be worth half price on some later date on a Steam sale. Half the value of the DLC is getting to play it out the starting gate.

But then why was it delayed for 30 days?

I don't think Hearthfire was part of the exclusivity deal. Yes, it was DLC, but it was small. And yes, it was released later for non-Xbox platforms, but I think the contract probably counts towards smaller DLC packs as well as the big ones.

On the bright side, this trailer has pretty much confirmed most of the files found in the latest patch, so this DLC should also come with a fix that allows PS3 DLC (finally).

As an XBOX user I would like to say I DO feel the exclusivity this time around is unfair. Hearthfire should have counted.
I feel bad for the PS3 users because they're getting shafted left and right because apparently the PS3 is harder to code for, I guess?

I don't know if there's a lot that we can do, besides voice our displeasure on the boards, as much as I regret making that statement because it will make being here all that more intolerable...But, if it gets a point across...

All smaller DLC packs were probably included in the contract.

Hearthfire isent big enough to count as a large Dlc; It may have been exclusive, but its size doesnt really register it as apart of the exclusive deal like large full DLC's. Hearthfire was a minor dlc, and the deal Beth and Msoft made was the first TWO LARGE dlc's before anyone else. I dont know why people are making such a big deal out of this. They may need to wait, yes, but this is the 360's last DLC they get before the rest. After that PC and PS3 will get DLC's before us. Then they can laugh and taunt us all they want. At least I wont be here when that day comes as my units redeploying in April. So have your little fun.

Where did you get the idea that DLC packs would be released on other platforms before the Xbox 360 after the exclusivity contract ends?

The truth is, we will probably never know all the details of the exclusivity deal between Bethesda and Microsoft. For all we know, Hearthfire was NOT exclusive to Xbox, and instead, Bethesda just wanted to stagger it on different platforms. Or, Bethesda and Microsoft changed or expanded their deal to include Hearthfire.

As I said before, while we may never know the details of this deal, ask yourself this, is a $5 dollar DLC profitable enough for Microsoft to justify paying Bethesda for an exclusivity deal? My educated guess is, no, it isn't. $5 DLC is not going to make Microsoft a lot of money or profit, and that is the whole reason why Microsoft and Sony pay for exclusivity deals, so they can make more money.

Well, seeing as how we get the first 2 before anyone else its only logical that everyone else gets the later dlc's before us.
Lol, when has it ever been done like that?

The size of Hearthfire is irrelevant. It was labeled as add-on content, and was held for 30 days which there would be zero reason to do if it had not counted in the 30 days exclusive. I also agree with what someone else said, both Dawnguard and Hearthfire were labeled as exclusive to Xbox, Dragonborn was not. So there is still hope.

Uh, no. Just like the DLC exclusiveness in the first place, that would be stupid. Everyone should get the DLC at the same time.

Exactly. If things were 'fair' like that, then we wouldn't even have this exclusivity deal in the first place.

You're delusional if you think pc, especially ps3, will ever be getting anything before xbox, the best we couod hope for is to get it at the same time but apparently all Microsoft has to do is dangle money in front of bethesda to get them to treat pc and ps3 users as if they matter less than xbox users.
