Xbox360 exclusive...Why? its the third DLC

Post » Tue Nov 06, 2012 7:57 am

Seriously...

Screw you, Bethesda.

3+ months now since the last time we got any information regarding the PS3. It's obvious you're not doing everything you can when you pump out yet another DLC with nothing to show for the PS3 yet.

6 days to get SOMETHING to the PS3 community.

Well, seeing as how we get the first 2 before anyone else its only logical that everyone else gets the later dlc's before us.

Dude... I'm just not going to say anything.

Doest it matter all of you are going to buy it either way...

Nope...not over here. I still haven't bought Dawnguard and quite frankly I can't be bothered too. By the time the one month wait was up my enthusiasm had run out, I knew everything about the DLC because quite frankly it is very hard to avoid what everyone is talking about...everywhere.

It will likely be the same with Dragonborn, IF it is an exclusive and to be honest the fact that the release date for XBox is stated under the video, but nothing for PC or PS3 certainly makes for good evidence that it will be an exclusive. In which case I am tired of 'exclusives' and tired of waiting and will not bother. Maybe in the far future when it is on sale, I might get it...if I can be bothered.

all three say game add-on so

1.: if Hearthfire didn't count then why was it exclusive?

2.: if Hearthfire did count then why is Dragonborn exclusive?

3.: if they renewed the contract why didn't they announce it as they promised in the first announcement?

In my opinion, just because they never mentioned a release date for pc or ps3 does not mean they won't release it at the same time for those platforms.

So, PC users don't get DLC, they complain. PC then gets DLC and go to PS3 threads and complain that PS3 users are complaining about the same thing they are complaining right now

Uh, no. Just like the DLC exclusiveness in the first place, that would be stupid. Everyone should get the DLC at the same time.

Ah, but with a big-money corporation like Microsoft, they can pay a **** ton of money for an exclusivity deal. Microsoft owns Xbox Live, but they do not own Steam. It's simple when you think about it. Microsoft pays Beth a couple million dollars, Beth releases DLC for the Xbox first.

With that in mind, I do dislike the idea of exclusivity. It is unfair to the other players, but it makes sense from a business standpoint. Now I personally play on an Xbox, but that doesn't mean that I agree with any of this. I think that the PC players have nothing to complain about, as the PS3 players have received NO DLC for Skyrim as of now. When they should be working out the bugs in the PS3 game, they are releasing another Xbox360 DLC. It isn't right, but it is what it is. Microsoft used to be what Apple is now. A money making machine.

I find it fortunate I have an xbox, but I do still think this is crap. Only thing I can think is because Hearthfire wasnt a "big" dlc?

Pretty much, they probably tried to fool Microsoft with it or something but it didn't work and now PC and PS3 have to wait for this.

The only reason console users can't use mods are because Microsoft/Sony say you can't. The reason mods can't be made is because the hardware isn't good enough.

Bethesda embrace the modding community and would do on consoles too if it was allowed. Bringing platform wars into this is just ridiculous.

Microsoft paid Rockstar 50 Million dollars for GTA4 exclusive DLC.

Now that was not 30-day exclusivity. But still, Microsoft and Sony both spend millions of dollars on exclusivity deals. That is why you have to consider how much Microsoft expected to make in profits. If it isn't profitable for Microsoft, then they wouldn't do it in the first place.

Really no need for such a vindictive attitude. No one should have to wait, not X Box, not PS3 and not PC users.

While I understand your rage - and honestly, I agree with you wholeheartedly - they likely are doing everything they can to get DLC out for the PS3. Unfortunately, Steam, PS3, and Xbox360 use three different programming languages for gaming, and therefore need three teams of experts to port the game to the system. They likely have their entire PS3 team working on getting you guys DLC, but they can't put their PC or Xbox people on it, because it would do no good. Unfortunately the three systems will never use the same language, and this problem will continue existing.

All I know is, I have a copy of Skyrim, that my little sister bought me new for $60 for Christmas last year, and I can't even play any of the DLC for it. And that's terrible.

PS3 hasn't even gotten Dawnguard yet. If they're going to release this one at the same time for all three platforms, what possible good could come out of it by not making some huge announcement to, if nothing else, reassure PS3 players that they actually are making some progress instead of just stringing them along with vague statements that they're still "working on it"?

That would be a monumental screw-up by their marketing department, and I mean "fire everyone in the department and start over again" monumental.

I think that the PC players have nothing to complain about, as the PS3 players have received NO DLC for Skyrim as of now.

If people didn't complain because there are other people in more dire straights, NOTHING would ever change, because we would be paralyzed by that mindset.
There are people starving in the world, therefore nobody can complain about anything without first starving.

Yeah, no.

PC user's get to make Mods i agree that PC user's should wait for DLC's compaired to us Console players, Xbox and PS3 dont have the privilege to make what we want when we want.

And did you pay for/build a PC to play Skyrim on? Did PC players pay the same amount as you for the game?

The way I see it, Xbox live users pay for bonuses.

It's not that big of a deal I am moving from the Xbox 360 version to PC version soon enough, so I won't be buying it for the 360 anyway.
PC users get mods, so get over it.

apparently it's all Add-On Content or Downloadable Content because Sony users have no legal course of action because we have the ability to download mounted combat which is a bunch of horse [censored]...

Vexsis, Envy is thy name. You are actually hoping that this goes to Xbox first just because PC'ers have a feature that you don't? Pathetic man. I guess you can pass the next 30 days by re-reading your copy of "The Communist Manifesto"
