You Got To Be Kidding Me

I'm not sure I follow you.
You oppose sixual content in Open World RPGs because of technical issues - properly engendering and rendering six scenes between partners in which one of them is not pre set - or because it doesn't belong there altogether?
Because we're playing a wide variety of characters of different physical build, and yes, because animating skin on skin is very tricky. Just look at Dragon Age Origins and the "kisses" which consisted of seeing the back of the PC's head and hearing unpalatable smacking sounds.

And that adds nothing to the story- whereas TES has some pretty dark themes in its lore and stories, including sixual themes already.

So how's the rest of the Witcher 2's narrative?

Pretty sound past or prior to the six scene? Did the six scene affect anything in the narrative? Were things different if you didn't do it?

Did it make a difference at all?

I just want to point out something you managed to miss earlier, the games are based on a series of novels, in which the character is predefined, and his role in society is as well. The six scenes in the Witcher games are quite similar to the ones in the book, and the book was written in the 1940's, so not trying to pander to teens then.
LOl I give up the guy he has his opinion which is fine ,The scene with Triss I thought was tastefully done i fail to see how its cheesy and pandering to adolescent audience.

The plot itself is excellent, my 2011 game of the year on that alone. (I like a good story) The combat is fun and engaging, and the characters are extremely interesting.

I'll have to look into it then... even if it does remind me of Nicholas Cage for some reason.

Oh good Lord. Okay, I just worked the wonders of the internet and watched what was supposedly every six scene in Witcher 2. I had only seen one of them, but they're all cheesy as hell. I kept expecting the music to cut to CHIKKA CHIKKA BOW WOW nudie-flick music. Utterly cheesy, all of them, and not good even as six scenes. Purely unnecessary, thoroughly unerotic, and complete fan service. They're no less silly than the stuff in Leisure Suit Larry.

LOL

I'm 42, dude. But I also know pandering to nineteen year old adolescents when I see it.

No this is a mature rated game for advlts .

Why not? If it was some pulp fantasy novel then it could well have been trying to attract the teenage audience. And somehow I have to doubt that a novel written in the forties was as explicit as the scene in the game.

Shouldn't you ask them for a character creation aspect?
Lol that will never happen its based on a series of books.I would not mind seeing a game with Triss as the main character mind you.
