Sam Adams (especially the Aspen Spring seasonal version that is out right now) and Guinness are the only two I have in my fridge.

Hardly. There are tons of infinitely better stouts out there, and to claim Guinness as some sort of god stout is completely and utterly wrong.
Yeah, I know some people really like Guinness (and I don't mind it, but I won't choose it), but it tastes burnt or something...like something went wrong when they were prepping the ingredients.

I'm too young to drink but I will not get into alcohol at all; not really something I wanna get into.. Please remember I do understand why people like it and ain't surprise... But what I don't understand is why people go out and get drunk? Before anything gets started, I am all for alcohol since it is your choice to drink it but I am against it when it over-drink it and get drunk cause this creates a lot of problems....I know this for sure...

To me alcohol like beer or hard liquor is just another drink to enjoy when you're older I guess...but getting drunk off it nets you a visit from Mr. Jackhammer in your brain in the morning. The worse time I've even been drunk on Alcohol was my 30th birthday. I went on a four day drinkling benge and my liquor of choice was two different brands of Vodka...on the 5th day I was sicker then a dog...and to qoute Bill Cosby "and that's called having a good time..." :D .

Oh yeh. I saw that thing of Bill Cosby when he talks about why people get drunk. That made me laugh. Your toilet will be your best friend!

I don't drink to get drunk personally. I drink because its a social thing to do for me. In fact, I prefer not to get drunk when I drink. Maybe have enough to get bold enough to hit on the waitress but that's it

Yuengling makes a great Black & Tan that was one of the first beers I ever tried, I've liked it ever since.

Thirsty Dog is a great brewery here in Ohio. I like their stouts in particular.

However, when I can find it, any German imported beer is amazing. Just this past weekend I had a great German Hefeweizen that is probably the best beer I have ever tasted in my life.

So I'm sitting back and relaxing tonight, on the forums of course. I'm enjoying 1 pint 8 fl. oz Bud Light right now. I mostly drink Yuengling or Heineken. I also enjoy a couple bottles of Blue Moon or Pabst Blue Ribbon.

So what type of beer do you prefer?

1 pint 8 fl. oz Bud Light i thought this was about beer. Guinness, the black death.

I have a question for those in the Southern USA, and outside the USA. Do you guys have access to Labatt? (It's not very good, I'm just curious about their range).

I was recovered. I used to get wasted off off beer and liquor but I've been drinking beer more sparingly. But it doesn't change the fact. It's good that you're sober though. I was for a few months.

i drank anything i could get hold of and was drunk all day, every day for around 4 years. getting kicked out of flats, being arrested all the time, wandering around at night drunk off my nut looking for the biggest person i could to try and start a fight with O_o it put me on a good buzz at the start of the drinking session, but i wouldnt stop and would black out and get extremely aggressive. im actually suprised im still alive to be honest. after i got over that i would drink a 6 pack here and there but since 2 months ago i have completely stopped

anyway, not going to derail this thread with bad drunken stories anymore :P

Do you go to AA meetings? I went for the few months I was sober. But I'm just living life now. I try not to over do it, I do sometimes.

Wheat beer, home brewed or at a brewery on tap.. can't emphasize how [censored] awesome it is. :)

To the sudden talk of alcoholism, one of my better friends used to be an alcoholic, married 20 years, five kids. He was pushing 280lbs, didn't give a [censored], but one day his wife decided to flip out and leave, taking the kids' TV, racking her husband up $100,000 in debt, woke him up basically. Realizing his wife was a [censored] who left not only her husband but flat out ditched her kids to go live with her mother, someone had to be there for them, so he flat out quit cold turkey and has ever since. At first one of his brothers was a bit sensitive to people drinking around him but now all is fine, this dude serves beer to people when we partied at his house and is around it and doesn't even have the urge to drink. He lost 110 pounds, is in great shape now, very happy, has no inclination whatsoever to grab a cold one.. one of the people I respect most that did a complete 180 in life. Truly you can hit rock bottom and pull your [censored] together.

Some people cannot handle beer. I hope those people realize it sooner rather than later, all things in moderation.

Lager normally. Not really in to Guiness or bitter. Corona and Peroni are probably my two favourites.

I also think it's funny when people say they drink for taste. Pffft.
I know, right? It's like those people who claim to care about what their food tastes like! I mean, c'mon, it's just gonna be poop in a few hours anyhow!

Well if all someone did was go to the store buying Budweiser, Corona, Miller, Heineken, and so on expecting some vast difference in taste, no wonder they think the way they do.

Well food is necessary for survival, alcohol isn't. I hope you can atleast get an idea of what I was trying to say.

Buzz Beer!! It's the greatest!!!

Two parts beer for one part energy drink with the added secret ingredient [instant coffee..] creates an elixir worthy of the gods!!

The more drunk you get, the more awake you are!!

I should market this stuff.... :)
