Your most "I'm an idiot" gaming moment.

It seems a little like it man. That comment on his sig was off topic anyways.

I think my stupidest moment in a game was when I had first found the Alien Blaster and it's ammo in Fallout 3 and used it all thinking it was microfusion cells. :pinch:
i wasn't purposefully anyway, just wanted to call him out on his sig.

ok stupidest moment lets see.....ive had my share but i cant remember! ah most recent was killing an elder dragon, forgetting to save, and in my whirlwind sprint fun habits forgot that the slightest drop can kill you....snapped my legs! no slowfall levitation or acrobatics skill to save me :(

Usually my dumb moments come from realizing that an impassable mission or objective could be completed very easily and I was just making it much too complicated. Also....

In GTA: San Andreas there was this one mission, it took place in the countryside and was the precursor to unlocking the activities, stores and missions of the 2nd city, San Fierro. This island also would give me access to a clothing store and mod shop that I really wanted to unlock. Standing between me and this lovely metropolis was a simple mission, a race through the country against the main character from GTA III. The race started way up in a place that was about a 15 minute drive from the city, this resulted in me using crappy country vehicles to try and complete the mission simply because I was to lazy to drive a nice car out there or that I would destroy any car before I got to the race start. Also, some sports cars could not handle the dirt paths of the race. Simply put, I shelved the game for months because I could not complete it.

One that comes to mind is Skyrim.

A word of note: When attempting to use Unrelenting Force to throw an enemy over a cliff just behind him, it is a good idea to make sure it is actually Unrelenting Force you have tagged up to use.

Whirlwind Sprint does not have the intended effect.
LOL

Actually I did the opposite though when I was learning the Whirlwind Sprint shout and was I told to show it to the Greybeards if I learned the shout or not, but when I tried to sprint through the gate I accidentally have Unrelenting Force selected and Arngeir told me a couple of times "Is this the best you can do".

Had a few moments in Skyrim where I was searching for a lever that was in an obvious location and I just missed it repeatedly.

Dead Space - I can't remember the name of the enemy, but it was in the "greenhouse" sort of area, fused to a massive cylinder. I spent the better part of an hour trying to duck and weave around this thing's attacks, not knowing how exactly to beat it and shooting every bit of ammunition I had at it.... until I realized that I could TK its own weapon against the damn thing.

I'm sure there are plenty more, but that's all I can think of at this moment.

Accidently burning down my house in minecraft and closing off my mining shaft by right clicking while having a bucket of lava in my hands :(. It took nearly 3 hours to get everything restored. Then a few days later the halloween update came and my minecraft stopped working all together for a little bit :(. I lost all my worlds and had to start over again hahaha.

I couldn't get past the tutorial for Assassins Creed. The part were you had to push past the people with the pots on their heads. I thought I had to keep pressing B, so frustrating. Eventually I worked out that I had to hold it in.
Yeah also this I ended up giving my Assassins Creed to Gamgee lol

With people mentioning Minecraft, I just remembered one I had forgotten until now. My current Minecraft SSP map has a fairly long uncovered outdoor minecart track between my main mine and my base. One time, I made the mistake of riding it at night. I'm about halfway along and I see a creeper about 15 feet away. I'm swearing profusely at this point, I mash the right mouse button and manage to get out just in time. The creeper, on the other hand, somehow hijacked the minecart. Until that day, I didn't know mobs could ride in minecarts, but they can. All the way to the other end of the track if you've got powered rails like I did.

Thankfully, it had despawned by the time I made it to the other end of the track.

plenty in dark souls.... Most of which include dodging a weak enemy to gain advantage on them thinking that I am being very clever and then falling off a cliff... "I am an idiot" is followed by a painful humiliation....

In God of War 2 there was a room where the far wall spit a cloud of fire at you when you pulled a lever. I died in the room dozens of times trying to find a way to avoid it. The next time I loaded the game I realized there was a statue in the previous room that you could push in front you to block the fire. So yeah, that was dumb. Always check your surroundings

God of War 2...... I have found this game to be the most frustrating game. Even more so then Dark Souls. In fact when I beat it last summer I vowed to not play God of War 3 until a year passed by. I intend to keep it that way.

my worst moment recently was when I took ten minutes trying to solve a puzzle, got bored and wandered ahead to find I had solved it on a previous runthrough...

Of all time? the simpsons hit and run, where I could not for the life of me figure out which car to follow until I noticed it was ramming me in the tailpipe.
