One that comes to mind is Skyrim.

A word of note: When attempting to use Unrelenting Force to throw an enemy over a cliff just behind him, it is a good idea to make sure it is actually Unrelenting Force you have tagged up to use.

Whirlwind Sprint does not have the intended effect.

Starfox on the GameCube, me and my friend who owned the game was doing the trials at the raptor peoples camp. At one point you have to push another raptor into a pit by pressing a button really fast.
We tried for hours, eventually called a friend, kept trying for another hour or two.

Then his kid brother who was about 10 years old comes in and gives it a try, and ofc does it in his first try, with ease.
I didn't feel like an idiot, I just felt like I really, really svcked.

I got a real good one. In the first Quake game I got to the "Final Boss" (It looked like the giant octorock from Oot but white) and used every weapon I had and nothing happend. Then I found out you killed it in one hit by teleporting into it----I have to say that's kinda pathetic <_<.

I still struggle to find my way out of the giant courtyard area right at the beginning of Half Life 2 after hitting the guard in the head with the can. I eventually find my way out, but I immediately forget it after that and derp around that area for 10 minutes whenever I start a new game.

I did this! I was convinced that you had to throw a cardboard box at some other guard on a door, and was doing this for ages until I found out where you actually had to go...

Anything to do with levers and Dwemner traps in Skyrim. I fall for those almost every time.

I couldn't get past the tutorial for Assassins Creed. The part were you had to push past the people with the pots on their heads. I thought I had to keep pressing B, so frustrating. Eventually I worked out that I had to hold it in.
God, that happened to me.

I didn't know you could rotate the map in Skyrim..How do you do that on PC?

OT - My worse moments were always in WoW. Back in BC, I had a macro to switch my tanking gear from trash gear to boss gear. I hit it and charged the boss. Unfortunately, I charge before my armor changed but after it took my original set off. One shot by boss and laid naked watching my guild get slaughtered. I've never heard so much laughing in vent.

In online FPS's, I always seem to be reloading just as someone turns the corner towards me...I really need to stop reloading after I get a kill.

I think the single worst moment for me was in Red Faction: Guerrilla where I detonated an explosive container. That little science person inside my brain was turned off as the gamer in me said "DO IT DO IT DO IT!!" well I did it. My science side came up and slapped me in the back of the head as a beam hurled by explosive knocked my character out cold. All I could think was "[censored]" as I saw that beam hit the character making me wonder if I should have stood a few steps to the right.

When using 5x as many explosives take that many steps to the right. :/

in Minecraft I wanted to get to lvl 30 for a special diamond sword

I would have nightly gauntlets in which I would traverse the wilds outside my house deliberately staring down endermen, taking on hoards of zombies and fist-fighting creepers.

I was level 25, it was the middle of the night and I found salvation from an army of enemies in a town I happen to stumble upon.

the problem, the own was precariously hanging over a massive ravine. I noticed this and barely managed to evade the sheer drop into lava. I ran through the streets of the town finding choke-points with which to take on my opponents.

It came time for me to leave the town and go back home as Dawn approached. I was ambushed by three spiders. I started back-pedalling as I swung my sword at them every time they leapt out at me.

suddenly the ground fell out from under me
*CCRRRRUUUUUUUUNCH*

yet I was alive O_O, my armor saved me, I had one heart left and and no protection anymore, but I was alive.

and then...

Sneaking up on a sleeping Deathclaw in Quarry Junction. Shot up some Slasher, read a magazine, loaded up my AMR with armor-piercing rounds. Lined up the Deathclaw, thinking a sneak crit should take down at least most of its health. Fired. Nothing happened at all.

I had been stalking an already dead Deathclaw -_-

Had a facepalm moment in Borderlands last night. Playing co-op with a friend, we were taking on the Alpha Skags at the end of Lost Cave. I was out of ammo so was firing frantically from the hip with my explosive sniper rifle. Eventually I started to wonder why the skags weren't taking extra damage, and why it was taking so long to kill them, and why the hell did my gun suddenly only hold three rounds? When I died and went back to the checkpoint I had time to bring up my inventory. Somehow, I have no idea how, I had swapped my 101 damage explosive sniper for a 70 damage Rusty Sniper that did no elemental damage. FACEPALM. Switched guns and slaughtered those skags.

If I'm not mistaken, you right click and twist the mouse.
Additionally, I'm using a great mod http://www.skyrimnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=145. It allows you to zoom in to near ground level, and other features.

I've had my facepalm moments, but I can't think of any right now except for getting killed by a mudcrab in Morrowind early on....and then during my first or second day playing Skyrim.
Yup, killed by a mudcrab....Again!

"Ok so that way is out, I should head north, oh mutant butterflies, this will be easy".

You know, the first time I saw a screenshot of a Cazador in a preview for NV, I actually thought they'd be about the strength of a Bloatfly, because of their size. Oh how wrong I was. Oh so wrong.

Buying Fallout 3 GOTY.

On my first New Vegas playthrough, I went down to the East of the Cemetary at Lvl 1, having ignored all the quests. There was a Giant Radscorpion glitched into the mountainside, so I shot at it. Eventually, I crippled it's Right Claw, which caused it to glitch OUT of the mountainside and murder me in two blows. Results: I now doggedly stick to the quests until Lvl ten, and fear Radscorps more than DCs.

Any Frag Mine hidden under an orange cone. I never quite get those things.

In Fallout, I was smart and mined the Radscorpion Cave entrance so I wouldn't have to fight them all...but I was inside the cave when the bomb went off.

I attempted to engage The Master while wearing Tesla Armor & armed with Spiked Knuckles.

Every time I have to fly into a [censored] tunnel in one of the Ace Combat games.

In ACZ, I once engaged the final boss in an F-16XL.

There was also this one time I built a 1200T mini-destroyer armed with missiles, guided torpedoes(both antiship and antisub), and AA guns in Naval Ops: Warship Gunner 2. It was a surprisingly solid little ship for so late in the game....then I ran across a flotilla of (fairly common by now) battleships you can't lock guided weapons onto.

your signature- "any new features bethesda add, we complain."

no. only a fool would complain about great features such as weapon reinforcement or shouts. even wood chopping should have its place. BUT WHY REMOVE NO BRAINERS SUCH AS WEAPON DEGRADING AND SPELL MAKING! seriously.

there will always be complainers, some guy the other day was complaining about armour being ugly. but for those who have valid points should be taken seriously. but even ugly armour guy MIGHT have had something valid to say. its always worth bethesda reading complaints, to see things from a different perspective so they can improve thier game. pun intended.

It took a long time to discover that when you hack a computer in Fallout 3, that you can click through the password load screens instead of waiting for them to completely load.
What a time saver!
When it dawned on me, it was like....

Or logging out before the last hack, and retrying with all attempts replenished.

Or doors that say "this doors is activated elsewhere" when you try to open them,

so I'm thinking;

'Right, opens from the other side.. gotta find a way to the other side.. why do I feel akin to poultry all of a sudden?'

Of course I never saw the switch on the wall..

Or stacking shots in VATS..

Some of the armour is ugly. Though in my case I attacked it in Blender to "fix" it, as in change it to my own preferences...

It seems a little like it man. That comment on his sig was off topic anyways.

I think my stupidest moment in a game was when I had first found the Alien Blaster and it's ammo in Fallout 3 and used it all thinking it was microfusion cells. :pinch:
