1,000 Hours

Post » Sat Jun 16, 2012 4:25 am

I think I have something around 300 ish spread across 4 characters. 2 of which account for over 200 hours total. Really only play when I have a day off of work due to weather ( I work outside) or if its a lazy weekend where the wife doesn't have me building stuff for our house or we aren't out with friends.

Sounds like some people have never played a MMO before... I played Final Fantasy XI: Online for just shy of 5 years, and had over a year and a half of game time logged in. I wasn't even one of the actual "hardcoe" players, I was just doing casual stuff with RL friends.

As long as your real-life obligations are met and responsibilities are taken care of, play as much as you like, and take as long as you want doing it.

4,000...8,000...20,000? People that post that are full of Skeever dung. Hell the game has only been out for about 5,000. That means at 4K you spend 20 hrs a day playing Skyrim. As far as 8k and 20K...

I have put in between 1200 and 1400 and I have no life.

Some people like to make funny comments

92 hours. No questlines complete. Haven't played at all in 2012.

What exactly am I supposed to experience in the next 30 hours that should draw me back in?
I think if you've only played 92 then clearly Skyrim just isn't your type of game. I played my 185 without even thinking about it. If I really dedicated the time I could get several hundred more. I'm just really busy modding it. :P

Well, considering I've got 400 to 500 hours into Oblivion, and about 150 into Fallout 3, and somewhere around 100 in Morrowind, it's not the general gameplay style, and is specific to Skyrim and the choices Bethesda made in designing the game.

Imagine, if only for a second - we all had second jobs. We would be jumping into pools of Gold coins!

You can have mine - I would rather enjoy the time I have here than build up a fortune.

As would I, I was just making a point as to how little we think a number like 200 to be but when you look at it as 200 hours of work it's quite a lot.

Goodness!
I applied for the Dawnguard Beta (sadly didn't get it) and that was the first time I added up the hours - 261 but I've played a bit more since then. The few people I've told thought THAT was a lot haha! 112hrs on my main character, 80 something on my first character (my second character became my main) and then that little bit extra divided up between three other characters. Curious to know how many characters you have if you've logged that much time?

I was able to explore virtually every region and dungeon as well as complete pretty much every quest in about 80 hours. Dunno what you're spending so much time on.

Roleplaying? Side Quests? General Exploring? Making extra characters to play the game differently? :)
Bethesda themselves has said they don't believe any player will discover everywhere in the game because it's just so big. Yes you may have been able to storm through "virtually everything" in your opinion however if you've only spent 80 hours in the game you haven't seen the true beauty of Skyrim my friend :)

There is nothing to be ashamed of if you're spending hundreds of hours in this game! :)

About 320-340 and skyrim doesn't really deserve that.

I've never understood how people burned through a game like this in less than 100 hours. Then again, I skip off into the wilderness to gather alchemical ingredients, so my perspective might be skewed. However, I don't think I could do over 500 hours let alone 1,000.

Unless I count all the times I've stopped and restarted...hm.

Total: ~400 hours.

Really, I don't care if I spent 400 hours total on Skyrim. If my count was at a 1000 hours, I wouldn't care either. Considering I'm a High School student, I don't have taxes to fill or a job (my parents would kill me if I got a job and not focused on studies) to get to. And my friends don't have access to a car so we just play Skyrim together.
