1,000 Hours

Imagine if instead of playing Skyrim, we used all of that time to do something to better mankind.

I've got about 175 hours so far. Granted, I've been playing other games as well. However, 175 hours is more than enough time to beat the main quest twice, do all the other questlines once, and do lots and lots of the side quests.

However, like Oblivion, I plan on doing all the questlines several different times. Except maybe the companions questline, that was just boring and irritating.

Edit: @The guy above me. You mean, go out and live in the real world? Psh, I'd rather be Dovahkiin than a regular jackoff any day.

You do realize you will never get that time back...

Anyway, I've played 200 between my two characters, but for some reason, Steam has only logged in 29.

So?

He obviously enjoys the game to have that amount of time on it, so if your enjoying yourself then it's time we'll spent. Really just think what else would you be doing if you weren't playing Skyrim at that time?, on a different game?, watch a movie or tv?, all the same to me, don't see how enjoying 1000 hours on one game is bad, but enjoying a thousand hours on ten games is good.

But yes, you can do mostly everything in about 100 hours. Main quest line, main faction quests, side quests, clearing all dungeons, etc.
No, you definitely can't.

You'd have to speed run it to the point of insanity, skipping through everything, and even then it'd be nearly impossible. There's no way in Hell you'd be able to clear all dungeons in that time either, regardless of how fast you're moving.

I'm at 350 myself.

I have little left to do so the DLC needs to hurry!

I have not played in a while but I am about to.

I could easily spend 1000 hours in skyrim and one day i will but i have other games i want to play so skyrim will have to wait.

And here I was impressed with my own measly 260 hours. My girlfriend, who started playing only after I'd been whining about how awesome the game is for a month and a half, has over 400 hours. Of course, I have played some other games in the mean time: a bit of SWTOR, Kingdoms of Amalur and Mass Effect 3.

I had 654 as of last night.

You know it's really weird being able to see the hours played. I would have loved to have seen how many hours I put into MW in the years I played that.

250 hours I think... Every 40-50 hours I play I get bored and leave for a while. If I feel like playing again I decide to make a new character (I don't really know why) and you can see how I got to 250.... And I STILL haven't done the College of Winterhold, or cast a single spell above Apprentice. Magic was never my thing in RPGs, but I'll get to it soon I guess.

I'm nowhere near 1000 yet, but I clocked well over that on Oblivion.

Actually, I have no idea how much total time I've racked up. WIll check this out later :D

I think I got to about 200+ hrs on the XBox before I decided to stop playing and wait to buy a PC.
I totally would have been on the same amount of time as you buy now if I had the PC from the beginning.

I have agoraphobia and anxiety problems so I don't get out. Skyrim is a great place to dive in for me. :D

I'm practically chewing off my hands with impatience.

263 hours on two characters. At the 1000 hour mark do you get the dedicated time waster achievement? :P

must be forgetting that the speed run by DEVS was 30h ;p, that leaves 70hs to breeze through the other quessy lines. but of course thats not the meat of the game..

I'm around 500+ hours, between 12 different characters. But, about half of those characters are only level 30 or so. The others are all 50+, with one capped at 81 and a half. I just like experimenting and coming up with different storylines.

Yes, but those 'lost' hours were pure bliss. I won't regret playing Skyrim this much until I'm at least 50 I reckon. Then I might regret it.

To those of you with hours over 300: I admire and respect you.

I though that the speed run was 2 hours... Or maybe I just dreamt that up one day.

Just over 700 hours now and proud of it. Sometimes I play other games when I'm bored of skyrim, but it always draws me back. Usually it's stuff I do in other games or things I see on the telly that make me go back. This game is doing a good job of ending up in my all time top 5.

I don't really know how many hours I got.
Let me make an educated guess: 158. Yeah not a lot.

Yup, same here. Still haven't finished half of my other games because Skryim won't let me. Pushing 200 hours here.

I guess if gaming is your only hobby.

I think I have right around 200 hours and that is spread across 7 characters.

You have 1k hours on a single toon? That would seem tedious to me.

+

for those deriding users with lots of hours, would you make similar remarks about reading books? Playing guitar? Skateboarding? Listening to music?

I have blown 1000s of hours in all of these other hobbies since 11.11.11 and I'm not going to regret it one bit.

Gaming is another hobby, and while I have not quite logged 1/5th the OP's time I'm not going to try and chastise people for having a singularly focused hobby.
