Most of these are stupid for example:33. Instead of using a map, I just turn into God for a moment and look down on the entire province.
34. I don't write directions in my Journal anymore because my GPS tells me where to go.
35. Nobody gives me directions anymore because they notice my GPS. It's called a map. It helps you navigate. You don't teleport! It's not a GPS it's a map.

are you sure about that? lol.
without the ability to turn off the player location icon i'm not sure how you can deny the gps aspect.

and, that's just another example of something so simple and small, yet, annoying as hell.

bartoman-

according to many on this forum, 1.5 makes #1true.

According to many other on the forums 1 isn't true.

Reading the list and the comments I find it interesting how much frustration some people must have inside to come up with reasons to be annoyed by a game, specially when some of the reasons are repeated more then justa few times, but with a slight different in text. Great work guys, you can all be really proud!

That been say there are points I absolutely agree with, but overall the list smell more of desperation to increase number of post written then actually well thought out issues.

there you go:
1- they don't happen randomly but only when your hit or the enemy hit will kill
2-false
3-false
4-false
5-not annoying at all
6-not annoying at all
7-false, they sell different items
8-not annoying at all
9-not annoying at all
10-false (most of the cities and dungeons have their unique designs)
11-false
12-false (killing a guy or being his friends or having him as a follower (cicero for example) is kinda different)
13-false (if you mess up stuff in a room they tell you, if you are a mage or a thief they notice)
14-not annoying at all
15-no, you can kill a weak dragon at level 1, not an ancient dragon
16-if you can't play it's not the game's fault
17-this one is actually true
18-false, it's just tricky but you can
19-false, there's a lot of lore as in other TES games
20-false
21-false
22-idk, like what?
23-false (takes 30 seconds to show your room)
24-false, if you don't dual cast your spells are weaker, duh?
25-2 swords make more damage than one? OMG this game is broken!!

and so on, are we good now?

HI again! Good to see you bother to reply. Thanks.

It's hard to go through that list - which I do not fully endorse and of which you rebuted but one third - because so many of those points are entirely subjective and thus resist contestation while others are objective quibbles. Take #5. Randomized Loot. Indeed, loot is randomized. But your reaction to this fact may vary. The same goes with repetitive architecture. It is repetitive in the sense it utilizes the same building blocks and at times the very same building. Again, your reaction to this fact may vary. Mine is of displeasure.

no problem, I'm trying to answer all the points and I'm trying to explain as better as I can but they are too much (and my mother language is not english), I guess I'll stop at 40.
the point is, of the 60 more points that have been listed, maybe 5 of them are actually right, in my opinion of course

and that is the key problem with saying that these points are true or false. all of them are based on personal preferences and some people like apple some like pear, some like oranges and some like bananas. Just because you or I feel a certain way doesn't make it true, and some people act like these points are pure facts rather then opinions which they really are.

there you go:

Only checked the first three on your list and we are all entitled to an opinion, but it does get a bit silly when you insist that short dialogue and lack of dialogue options are false statements. I dont think that it a position that is defendable, given the facts of the game.

As for number 1, killcams do happen without any rhyme or reason, without killing the opponent, without it being the last opponent in the vicinity or even mob. This is a commonly reported bug and youre just plain wrong there.

So after checking the first three points of your rebuttal and finding them silly at best, I really didnt want to go over the rest.

Read the edited first three, but it really doesnt change anything I didnt say in my original reply.

I might explain 2 and 3 better however.

Couple that with the fact that quest dialogue is atrocious, your character is a quintessential moron who never has anything interesting to reply, never any good roleplay options aside from 'duhh', and that when you are seemingly presented with any kind of significant option it doesnt matter anyway cause whatever you reply the next npc line will be exactly the same.. yeah, Skyrim dialogue is pretty atrocious.

As for the killcams they are buggy and unreliable and often fire off randomly for seemingly no reason at all.

Dialogue and speech is nothing compared to New Vegas and this is where Skyrim lacks the most.

my answer number 48 answers that
anyway you can't say that this game lacks dialogues, because there's a ton of it.

my answer number 48 answers that
anyway, I do agree that it's an individual perception of the game, but still you can't say that this game lacks dialogues, because there's a ton of it.

It lacks decent and well written dialogue.

my answer number 48 answers that

No it doesnt, its a quib that in no way adresses the issues at hand and tries to downplay it.

Youve never smithed in Whiterun then, or stood a bit at the vicinity of any npc, if you havent noticed the inane repetition of their one and only line every twenty seconds or so.
Its grating when you come to Whiterun to sell stuff and they all spout their one-liner again, but smithing next to that woman who wont shut up about how she doesnt claim to be the best blacksmith.. its nigh on impossible due to the irritant factor.

I can believe that you may have never noticed it so much, but you shouldnt try and deny that the game does do that, as it most certainly does and has been a complaint since day one.

And for the record, Im probably too old to even find this youtube, let alone know how to use it or be remotely interested in what it does.

Well, look at the positive side; you've listed only 66 annoying things after all  and even 100 would have been few if you ask me :bunny:
But its even understandable in such a huge game

yeah, it's so bad that "arrow in the knee" became a worldwide meme recognized everywhere as one of the funniest jokes.
I wish all games lack dialogues like skyrim.

funny? is that a joke.

this 'worldwide meme' isn't something to be gushing about. people should be ashamed.

the repetative dialogue is grating and annoying and unacceptable.

Lmao how does the Internet taking the piss out of a serious piece of dialogue make it great writing?

if you think about it, it's a pretty funny joke, both on the internet AND in the skyrim world, that's why.

or maybe you would be more happy with guards saying only "need something?" or just being mute?

The best "written parts" are in the Books in Skyrim if you ask me.

And this say a lot about the game "main quest" and "guilds" lacks of depth. Even if i really don't know if this is intentionally or not by the Developers.

Nothing wonders me anymore at this point

Just a shame that about 80% of those books come from at least two games ago.
