I like it more than previous titles and cannot wait for the DLC.
Same here, and Morrowind and Oblivion were both in my top four games ever. ( other two are Freedom Force vs the third Reich and Knights of the Old Republic. The exact order vaies by my mood. )
shallow, vapid, horrible endings to every questline, repetitive faction quest lines, horrible loot system that does not reward you for exploring
A vast ocean 3 inches deep
I agree with this the game is so overrated its not funny.I find it a joke and a slap in the face to developers who made better games that Skyrim got GOTY,anyone who thinks it deserves it is delusional.
Well now that it's been some time I think it's overrated, overhyped, unbalanced, unrewarding, badly written, badly design, tedious, repetitive, annoying oh and not my cup of tea.
i still love it despite its flaws and overall it is my favorite game of all time.
I do not mean to be rude and everyone is entitled to their own opinion but have you actually played any other games?Skyrim the best game you have every played?
Eh. I get more enjoyment from "Two Worlds" and many other games; this one just didn't do much for me. I still say it comes off as a bad mash of Oblivion and Fallout 3. Not enough innovation.
I'll admit that I enjoy it a lot more now than I did the first two months. Ignoring any and all main quests really helped - and the world is a much nicer place to thrive in if people don't go "DRAGONBORN" as soon as you get near 'em.
Is it bad that I still think Dragon Age: Origins is at least ten times better?
When you thoroughly ruin one of the three major play styles on fundamental levels... AKA Magic, you have a game whose brokenness is pervasive throughout the game.
I enjoyed it quite a lot, but for some odd reason the "new" wore off of it a lot faster than it did with Oblivion. I just started to get bored with the game last week - whereas with Oblivion it took about nine months (really). It doesn't makes sense - on the surface the world is much larger and varied, dungeons are better, seems to be more quests. Maybe some DLCs will help - I'm off to play Divinity 2 and Two Worlds 2 for now.

Lots of people say its their favorite game ever...I started a thread about it a while back...me personally it's not in my top 15 or even 20
I actually fought liking it at first. I was really disappointed with Oblivion having been a TES fan since the beginning of the series in 1994, so I went into Skyrim with a bit of a chip on my shoulder. I'm not a big fan of a lot of the removal of some of the RPG mechanics, and the writing for the quest-lines leaves a lot to be desired. That said, I've been trying to give games a chance based on what they are, and not what they aren't or what I wish they could be. I have a tendency to over-anolyze games...especially RPG games. From the perspective of "take it for what it is" it's a beautiful game that is a lot of fun to play.
It's also worth noting that one of the things that really drew me into the game was the Realistic Lighting mod. The vanilla game is so brightly-lit everywhere that it really svcked a lot of the atmosphere out of a ton of locations (as well as the usefulness of spells like Candlelight and Magelight). I know it sounds silly that a lighting change could add that much more enjoyment to the game, but it did for me. If you're playing on the PC I highly recommend it.
edit: on consoles, skyrim is right up there Nightwish.
Blasphemy! Skyrim is more like Nickelback it's overrated it has no depth yet for some reason appeals to the masses.Oh you were revering to me still i think this post is a accurate description of Skyrim.

Or you're just a bit narcissistic, think your opinion is always the right one, and think other people's preferences are incorrect because they don't agree with yours. take your pick nothing personal, it's just a likely alternative
