I've played Skyrim for more than 300 hours across 4 characters and experienced a lot of content... along with the fair share of bugs and frustrations. I feel that the game, while being quite flawed, is still one of the best games I've ever played, and probably the best open-world RPG of 2011.
What do you think about Skyrim? Was it worth all the hype leading up to 11/11/11? Did it live up to your expectations? What are some things that you feel Skyrim did right and stuff it did wrong?
Way too many things cut out, from skills (hand to hand?????!) to shortswords. The forced kill animations were a real dealbreaker for me, but overall I enjoyed playing.. I still have stuff to do but have kinda done the meat of the game.
One of my favourite games and probably will be in years to come. I think I would have enjoyed it more if I hadn't gazed at the same trailers, interviews and demo for hours on end before it's release, I spoiled myself by finding out some of the features that otherwise would have been mind-blowing for me.
Even though it has its flaws, the replay value on it is incredible. Any game that has that much replay value and content deserves to be called a "great game".

It's a great game but a glass half filled for me personally, There are too many fundamental mechanics in Skyrim that i'm not a fan of & cannot get along with, Nothing can fix that.
My opinion has stayed the same since release after countless playthroughs & characters, I kept on digging into it as much as i could but just never found the true love as i did with OB or FO3.
Is it a great game? Hell yes, It's been a wonderful time sink & i've enjoyed all of it but it does not sit at the top of my tree.
I'm disgusted by the lack of either Destruction scaling or spellcrafting. The game needed one or the other to be my number one favorite game of all time. Still, it's an amazing game and takes the number two spot behind Fallout: New Vegas.
