I too have to question the practicality of robot-scorpions but I'll save my opinoins until after the DLC; as coloured as they probably will be.

Not sure it's about practicality as much as it is being http://wasteland.wikia.com/wiki/Scorpitron. Not saying that this makes including robotic scorpions a good idea mind you, but I'm going to adopt a wait and see approach.

I'm counting the days. I want tech. I'm more excited for this DL than I was for the other two.

And we are very very offtopic now, so back at the question at hand, am I excited about OWB?
Yes.

And No.

I'm excited about the characters cause they look really interesting but the rest just looks like if they went: "All ideas you had about Science!, write them down on a note and throw them into the Old World Blues box and we'll implement them".
Just looks like a mess of random crap for teh lulz or for teh coolsauce.

So my excitement is for the characters which actually look interesting, the sink for example was hilarious and the toaster? I want to have him as a companion.
But other than that, yeah, just picture something over the top ridiculous twist on Science! and that's what OWB is IMO, just a bunch of random stuff thrown together.

So I am excited and at the same time not.
At least Chris is writing this DLC so hopefully the main quest will be real good with lots of choices and hopefully a new way to end the game like DM did and which HH failed to do.

It reminds me of Portal, in a way. Silly machine personalities, dark humor. All in a giant highly advanced base. But I think the way it is being described sounds true to Fallout, and at least true to how Fallout 2 was with what is supposed to be a lot of dark humor.

And back to offtopic, does everyone and their dog have to have Graham as avatar now?
I usually go by the pictures first so this is confusing. :(

Ever since I popped FO3 back in I've lost all interest in NV, DM and HH were letdowns for me, and there isn't much to get me excited about these upcoming two dlc's

id have to say i agree a lot with this statement, there was just more to do in FO3.

as for OWB i really dont care, im expecting it to end up kind of like MSZ. im still getting it on the release day though, i am interested to see if there ill be anything to do in the big empty after you beat the main quest or if it will be a let down like HH (im talking about repeatable tasks, or mini game kind of things) personaly i hope they bring back the ability to be a slaver since the bomb collars were made there

After the last two DLC (one you could never return, and I personally wouldn't play again without much coaxing, the other a huge let down) is anybody actually excited about OWB? I'm thinking this might be the Pitt of Fallout New Vegas, but I'm a bit skeptical...I'm probably not even going to buy it the first day it's released :shocking: I was just wondering if anybody has been waiting on pins and needles for this DLC or if all of your anticipation was destroyed by the last two DLC. So much time was taken for the build up of Honest Hearts and it didn't seem like a near equal amount of time was spent promoting OWB. Am I wrong? :liplick:

i think it will be more like mothership zeta focused on energy weapons characters adding cool new cool new energy weapon perks and weapons ew need some love and explosives too did i mention i love energy weapons because i do alot :tops:

your characters brain gets stolen so it'd be interesting to see how the courier survives gunfights without a brain

I wonder if that's bad enough to get an int debuff.

I was going to blindly buy all 4 pieces of DLC for NV (which is something i very rarely do) but after HH i have my doubts.
