Anyone else have this bug in their game?

Post » Tue May 10, 2011 10:20 pm

Lol, Perks should be every third level for the regular game. But if your playing on very hard with ART mod, then maybe you need a little more perks then every other level (I'm not trying to make it so I die every single gun fight I have but the basic game was way too easy even with perks every other level on very hard)

What is this, I don't even...
Fallout is not about being a god, it's focus is on beautiful RPG elements (a notable element being the RPG characteristic of character specialization), retro sci-fi, and dark post-nuclear humor.
So my answer is no, and I wish I worked for Obsidian, JE Sawyer is awesome.
BTW I play on the PS3, a console, and I have had little to no experiences that would make me mad at Obsidian, maybe Beth$oft, but not Obsidian. Obsidian brought me as close to the old Fallouts as Beth$oft would let them, which is close enough for me.

They will be pressured by sony and microsoft to fix everything due to lagging game sales and returns.

No they will not.

It's a RPG first then everything else.

Stupid amount of perks and "god-mode" negates the RPG aspects.

The only thing they need to fix is the broken quests, meshes and the sorts.

I'd like to add something: The false choice given by the OP is just hilarious. The options being "Agree with me because I'm awesome!" and "Choose this and you're the bad guy by default in my eyes!".

It's like you guys didn't learn from the original round of [censored]ing that the game should keep going after you finish the main quest.

Dude, Fallout and Fallout 2 had a "the end". it's just keeping with the fallout theme. if they add a DLC that keeps the game going, that's just more for us to complain about.

I just notice him say that Fallout was Bethesda's baby. That made me laugh.

I agree that's pretty funny. FO3 is not the first fallout.

Oh and sinced he voiced a biased complaint instead of raising awareness of a bug, as the topic name implies, coupled with the fact that nothing constructive seems to be being produced, this thread has ample reason to be locked.

as did the "OMG I WANNA GATLING-TESLA-CANNON SHOTGUN OLOLLOL" thread, but all the "lulz"-ing is just spam, and the OP is only causing flame.

A better solution would be add more quest perks, and at normal difficulty have the player get a perk every 2 levels, on easy make it every level, on hard 5 and very hard no perks and have no change to enemy life but keep it where it is at on hard setting and do the same with how many skill points you get. I never was a fan of having skill points be determined on how high your intelligence is. I'd rather make it determine how many points you get from skill books and magazines, as well as dialogue options and maybe some other stuff.

Yes it did, the post-MQ play was non-canon and merely free-play.

I can see from some of the threads that Bethesda is trying to think of a way to makeup for this stink hole that Obsidian turned their baby into.

It's not Bethesda's baby. Fallout is a series of a 5 games, Bethesda had 1 game tat they worked on. Perks every other level keep you from having a jack of all trades character that can do anything and get every perk in game. Can't believe you made this thread without even thinking of Fallout 1 or 2. Fallout 3 was good, and revived the series, IMO Fallout New vegas is what FO3 should have been.

BTW: what's up with that poll? Are we not intitled to any opinions other than yours?

Side quests and exploration of Fallout games are never canon. What are your points?

My point is that canon after ending DLC is a bad idea.

Non-Canon freeplay is a good idea.

It was marketed as a continuation of a sandbox FPS/RPG. They knew what people thought they were pre-ordering, and it was not this. If there was even a drop of info released before the launch date to suggest other wise i would not have dropped over 100 dollars on it. They deserve a CALS and obsidian deserves to go out of business for knowingly releasing a a buggy POS, and ripping me off. I started this thread to let them know how others might feel a little less robbed.

If you don't feel ripped off that is great, but those of us who do outnumber you.

"Side quests and exploration of Fallout games are never canon". Simply allowing playing after the end with a few short-term changes to the gameworld wouldn't mean anything.

The term "canon" refers to the official occurences as defined by the developers.
