@OP Go play CoD or some other FPS, Fallout is an RPG with FPS elements, NOT vice versa. If you think there wasn't any pre-release info, you didn't do any pre-release research, as we were very well informed of changes that were made.

Again insulting me, when i have not insulted a single person. you're just getting a raw crack because you want the last word in.

You miss the point of my original post. I was saying they released the game knowing it had tons of bugs. I said I have played through (just wandering the wasteland) it waiting for the patch but the bugs were so numerous even after the first patch (which made things worse) that i could not even do that. I can deal with a lack of an ending.

I have fallen out of the map by stepping in the wrong place. vault 34
No floor. Train tunnel
Fought invincible enemies, No health left but they just would not die. ghouls mostly. So i got beaten to death because breaking their legs didn't slow them down.
breaking limbs does not effect the AI's speed.
Had doors lock behind me with and tell me i need a key to exit (NCR missionary in freeside)
My room deletes my equipment.
Been stuck in endless death cycles because of rads+fasttravel

Invinceible enemies had a quick fix 3 hours after it became an ovious problem, breaking limbs does work  dont know about the doors, ever hapned to me. Room might be your campanions, they take things every now and then if you leave them in your house. You shouldn't fast travel with a lot of rad. its just calculating the amount of damage and the time your gone.

You could have been productive and reported those issues, instead of ranting.

Well then YOU don't have to pick those perks.

I want them back, and if bethesda wants more returns then they can leave everything the way it is.
You don't take the fun out of a game, then just tell your fan base to svck it up.
Those perks were what made the level cap tolerable.
They can salvage this game but it will require repairing more than a few silly bugs.
We want our perks back, they spoiled us so they can't blame us.
If they release the DLC before the patch you can count on me and a lot of other people not buying it.
If they want to slap another GOTY on their package, they better understand who greases the gears to get that done.

You keep saying we want our perks back. But really it is only you want to get a perk every level and it is only you who want the useless perks back so no "WE" do not want our perks back.

This game is great as it is and does not really need saluaging other than fixing the bugs.

The fan base does not need to svck it up because the fan base already like the game, at least most people who I know who have it think it is great.

The level cap is fine the way it is. And your getting 5 more levels in the DLC. You happy know.

So stop saying we want our perks back and this stuff that people have already said they dont want. It is getting really oold adn annoying.

Thank you.

I agree with you as far as the game having bugs and technical problems, but not about the need for more and more powerful perks. They were over-powerful in 3, and were one of the things that made 3 too easy. The game balance is more to my liking in NV. And if you were arguing, as your initial post seemed, for a continuation after the end, then I strongly disagree about that. I would much rather have a DLC that didn't have to worry about that. Broken Steel wasn't one of my favorite DLCs. It took away all the power of the original ending. Instead of sacrificing yourself for the Wasteland, which was heroic, and epic, you were just unconscious for a week or two. It emasculated the main plotline. I liked Point Lookout and the Pitt more.

If you feel that nobody is understanding you, perhaps you should try to restate exactly what you're trying to say in the most articulate way that you see possible? If nobody understands, then I am pretty sure the problem isn't with us.

It is so easy for pc gamers to forget, that the rest of us can't cheat our way through these games.
If i want to be god, and you want to struggle to make it to the end. that is up to you.
Obsid had no right to just take that option away.
Also I noticed, a lot of people telling me to stop griping. openly talked about using mods in their own games.
Which means they have no room to talk.

Some Mods actually make the game more difficult, not easier. I play NV and Fallout 3 on the 360, but I play Morrowind on the PC, and use mods for that. Playing with mods does not mean you're cheating.

Sure they had the right to do so. :P

Although, you will still be nigh a god at the levelcap - which you reach a bit too fast - even with harder difficulties with the right equipement and maxed skill for said equipement - so all in all, they didn't completely fix the issue.

I don't use mods and I don't cheat. FO3 makes people gods to easy. Other fallout games don't. New Vegas is the return to that. FO3 is the only game where I had to handicap myself. Make my character stupid, not pick up skill mags, stay away from quests and locations. It becomes so boring. Bethesda must have agreed with Obsidian in making the changes because Beth was the overseer and they approved everything. I rather have the game force me away from locatios until I can think of way to get in or kill whats keeping me away then having to unplug my brain and let the game hold my hand.

They have every right to. They created the game. Obsidian can't cater to the needs of every gamer. No developer can. If they did, the options menu would be bloated with every little feature having an on/off button, and if they thought they covered all of the features that they could shut on/off, that wouldn't be enough for some people. They did what they did because they thought it was best. It's as simple as that. If it really bothers you that much, stop playing.

The OP has every right to lobby for changes. And others have every right to oppose those changes.

Either one requires a clear and concise message for the developers to read. And the decision is up to them in the end.

I don't understand a belief that the developers were beholden by past changes for current/future games, though.

Side quests and exploration of Fallout games are never canon. What are your points?

What? Yes they are. Especially in this game.

Probably only where they impact the main quest. Canon is pretty much determined by what is mentioned in subsequent games (and what is in the bibles, but only if they are followed in the subsequent games). For the most part side quests aren't canon for the simple reason that the outcomes of them are never recorded in "history".

But if there are perks every level then you have to end up picking them. At the end of fo3 I just started picking perks because I didn't want anymore.

How would it be easy to not take a perk every level if you get what you're suggesting? We'd be forced to take a perk or be forced to end our character at the first time we level up. I'm not sure where you're getting the idea that game mods equal cheating either since many mods are either designed to simple add content, balanced items, and in many cases actually make the game more difficult.

See the problem with setting things back to the way they were in Fallout 3 is that people like me who play on a console would have no choice but to play the game like you want... Taking perks every level, assigning an ungodly amount of skill points, and becoming a godlike character. You know, since we can't "cheat" by adding mods. I would love to be able to add mods, which is something that motivating me to consider getting the PC version (and a working keyboard for my big, blue computer). I want to make the game more difficult and be able to add balanced weapons to my game... So would that mean that I simply want to cheat?

I have to say as well. Obsidian was well within their rights as a private company to do whatever the hell they wanted to do with Fallout: New Vegas since there are no current laws against that and as a US based company, the Constitution doesn't allow the government to interfere with what game development companies do with their products (short of them murdering people with the disks).

Though, if they turn out to be good at that the government might hire them.
