like all games nv had some bad graphics/animations during some of the trailers. however for me to think that after so many months of development and testing and re-testing the game that they didn't fix anything would be irrational.
New Vegas is looking like a fine game in it's own right. Although unlike FO3 it's has no hope of being "Game of the year" on any respectable list this time around.
I've never been excited for a game like this before. I seldom show emotions and yet the thought of New Vegas 5 days away makes my heart skip with joy, call me a nerd or whatever. I take my love and knowledge of the Fallout series with great strides. I've seen only one bug (Not counting the E3 demo head missing thing) and that was the floating woman in the Ultra Luxe. Beyond this, My dedication and love to the Fallout Series holds true. It's people like me and the countless regulars here that show that a game can touch peoples hearts. To some its a video game, to others, it's just as real a world as our actual universe. If you think Fallout New Vegas will svck, then good for you, but in the words of Dr. Braun "There's the door, go."
IMO it will be epic and I will play for weeks and weeks lol
Amateurs, :shakehead: I've been playing Fallout 3 for about two years now, and Oblivion for almost four.
Everything That I've seen from the previews so far (which is still pretty limited since I don't want to know everything about the game before it's released) tells me that New Vegas does not svck. I believe that it will exceed that which Fallout 3 accomplished, and hopefully improve where it was lacking.
I think the game will be good but i wish they would have added some kind of vehicle. Im hoping there will be a mod where you can scavenge parts and craft one. Something along the lines of a dune buggy or an ATV. Much more than that would kill the game because people woould use it as a weapon and that would make things boring after a while.
I was happy with Fallout 3 and didnt even get to the DLC's so im sure i missed allot. I dropped the ball big time finding out about the game.
I think we can count on bugs. I saw the floating gambler and thought it was damn funny. Too bad it was on G4 lol. I think the Fallout series is beginning to have a reputation for glitches. Funny ones though. I loved most of the glitches in Fo3. I don't think a few bugs will ruin the game though, maybe give you a few wtf moments like in Fo3. I trust Obsidian. They do good RPG's and know what they're doing, especially with all the old devs at the wheel. It'll be okay...
Don't get me wrong, I like Obsidian. I like their style and I like the new ideas they've presented in New Vegas but the simple fact is that they don't have a great track record for quality assurance, production values, and game balance. The videos I've seen so far seem demonstrate these failings: bad or choppy animations, disappearing/reappearing sinks, floating gamblers etc. The reason I'm especially worried is that everything else seems so damned good! Complex factions, hardcoe mode, weapon mods, character specialization, it'd be a damn shame if some crappy design here and there managed to spoil all the other good stuff the game's got going for it. What do you guys think based on what we've actually seen so far?
I'm not really a big fan of Obsidian, but I have faith in Beth at the reins on the Fallout series.
Are there no metros ? if not i am very happy because metros are so boring... But if this game looses the whole excitement of survival being afraid of meeting a overlord or a deathclaw because you don′t have enough ammo to kill it or having to struggle to kill it.
I will set my difficulty at hard so it′ll be hard and to be honest the first time i played fallout 3 i had to lower it to very easy often (what do you expect i was 11-12 years old D:)
there is no more fun then been playing for 8 hours and still at megaton and i didn′t leave it untill 8 hours of gameplay.
I personally didnt like the metros either. The topside open area and towns were the areas i likes exploring more and it sounds like NV will have more of that. Those Mirelurk's and Mirelurk hunters were a pain i thought and wouldnt mind if they did away with them. Also ever since the Stalker series ive gotten tired of the radiation but i understand its a nessisary evil for the story.
I had a guy floating about 50 feet in the air, fell to the ground in water, then came back up on land still swimming and when I talked to him his head was doing a 360... didn't bother me though P=
For me, the most random glitch ever was one time I was roaming the wastes and a giant bus randomly was flying through the air.
Naw, I only expect to see what the developers say. I don't assume anything for myself. I did this for L4D2, which I also hyped very much, and that exceeded my expectations (though I don't play it anymore because I got caught up in other games like the original Fallouts). So I think that if I get disappointed at all, I won't be dwelling over it.
I am not so worried...because for me...I think it could svck..and I would still like it. Lets put it this way..some will think it svcks...almost by default....there has to be haters.....but it isn't going to be me.
There is no way this game is going to svck. However, I am worried about the Ps3 version looking jaggy and washed out, and my 360 is throwing out subtle hints that it might stop working. I'm having a tough time deciding which version to get.
