Oh.. there's an alternate fire? See, I was wondering how some Marines could one-shot me while I just kept blasting away. The flamethrower is definitely still useless though.

Played an Alien match did not like it,made me want to puke.Then I was marine and I loved it.Heart pounding domination on my part.

Finally got to play. I love all three of them, but I like the Alien most and the Predator second.

When playing the Alien, the MOST IMPORTANT aspect is speed. Mash Q as often as you can and try to rush around people for the killing move. After that, sprint off again and circle around, killing people in more or less the same spot over and over and get people trying to sneak up on your in the corridors. Your focus leap is also one of your mots powerful attacks, as it staggers the enemy and lets you attack very quickly afterward, while they are still recovering.

The Predator is a bit different. The key to him is to make sure to get an item quickly, especially the disk or the plasma caster. I got a triple kill with the disk, which is awesome. It kills no matter what time in the air, even if it is returning to you. This really helps kill aliens that get in your face when your disk is in the air.

The important thing to do when playing the marine is to keep your back to something at all times.

Normally I would make some sort of nerd-related joke for such a thought out post concerning video game strategy....... but what you posted is pretty damn useful.

Just gave the human another whirl. Damn after I got used to the odd sighting and clunky feel of the humans I got much better. I won the match by my self with 19 kills and a kill streak of 6. Not sure on the deaths, but it wasn't much. I didn't use anything other than the Pulse Rifle. Everything else has way to scarce of ammo. That thing is effective at all ranges provided you fire right, and I like luring the aliens and Predators in with a false sense of security. I pretend to let them sneak up on me and then I turn around quickly and gun them down on full auto. Works like a charm. Act clueless, but don't actually be clueless. Guaranteed to get you a lot of kills.

Still waiting to try Predator. I hope I am not disappointed.

That stinks , I just don't think anyone is playing it on PSN , all I get is searching for games . Had it on yesterday for about 2 hours and nothing.

I'd say out of all species, predator is the best. it has ranged weapons, cloak, thermal and alien vision, can jump from place to place easily, can sprint very fast(but not as fast as alien). Anyone think they should add a stealth kill for marine? they could just add a combat knife.

Humans are so good.Alien felt to reliant on stealth which is fine if I didn't get sick to my stomach playing them.Have not got predator yet but those are the only ones I see as a threat online.I am 2-0 as human and 0-1 as alien.

No, the alien is the best. I just experienced the cheapest, most bullcrap thing ever. The alien's tail is absolutely balls off the wall stupid. If you hit anyone with it, it will stagger them and damage them so much that all you have to do is light melee 2 times and they die. Even cheesier is that one can tail whip a guy, then run behind him and do a finishing move. It was absolutely stupid. Any sort of melee combat with this guy playing the alien and you lost every time, all the time. If he couldn't hit you with his tail, he'd strafe around you spamming E until he got the finishing move. So retarded.

Simple solution pay attention to the radar and stay out of reach hasn't failed me yet.I think the majority of my deaths are either from stealth or Predators shoulder cannon.

Finally won my first game, used predator, and won with a score of 15. Is any one else getting annoyed by the stealth kill? it's so abused and annoying.

Unless you're the one doing the stealth killing. Seriously, catching people off guard is what this game is all about. Otherwise you might as well play Unreal Tournament or something.

I know but sometimes it's just so ANNOYING, I was playing as predator earlier and I looked around and thought "Hmm looks safe enough to regenerate energy" and got stealth killed by an alien. That happened at least twice, they REALLY should make it so you can cancel out of a stealth kill animation and regenerate animation.

What makes it even worse is the lockon. Even if you backpedal 20 feet you'll still be struck by the tail. I'm pretty sure that meleeing as the Marine stuns enemies though (I asked people after I melee'd them and those that answered said that it seemed like it did), so I think you have to learn how to time close-quarters combat, i.e. shoot them until they're close, melee, backpedal, shoot. It's hard to figure it out with the matchmaking system though, wish I could just find a place to play with friends to try stuff out.

Have not been predator yet but I got use to Alien and Did really well and won.And no the stealth kills don't bother me you just got to stay on your guard and keep moving.

I have 4 questions, what's a finishing move, how do you do a finishing move, what species can you do a finishing move on, and what species do you have to be to do a finishing move.

Preadtors and Alieans can do finishing moveswhich basically you just tap x when it appears and bam you got a kill.

Heh, I turned off the need to push a button to transit as the Alien and now it's easy to fly down a corridor spiraling around dodging bullets. I think I like the Alien the best. I like to wait in the shadows when a human is coming, then I pounce them and light melee to kill them. Predators are a bit more of a pain, I try to get them from behind but I have trouble grabbing them.

Also, i've managed to shake off a few of the finishing kills. I don't remember what I pushed but I managed to knock them off of me and kill them.
