I think whoever decided on the web design for the new layout must be pretty disappointed by now.

I dunno, I can get used to most of it. Just not the searchbar acting like some kind of unwanted toolbar I never installed in my browser. The rest is passable...but the searchbar and the user controls should be fixed, not floating.

The actual layout is nice. Clean and simple. Just two things that screw it over: no tan scheme, and no widesreen support. The first one is just personal preference. The second is an unforgivable overlook.

I have to admit, this is twice as slow, and ugly as sin. I really don't like it at all.

It's probably slow right now because there's an influx of BGSF hungry members coming back.

One thing I find a little off is the main page, where the games are seemingly in a random order. Why is The Elder Scrolls above Fallout, but below Call of Cthulhu? Yet Brink is on top, even though Rage is the newest board? It should be in the order of the old layout where the newest game was on the top.

The search bar runs off the screen and i cant see whatever search engine there is to the left. Could you move it to the left.

I'll give it some time before I call it slow, since it's saying that there are the most ever online. Unless that was reset. Then it is slow as molasses.

Well I'll be honest, this is anticlimactic.

Firstly, no widescreen is very annoying. The jumpy, slow scroll is even more so. Thirdly - the search bar is a pain.

I don't mind the actual design but those 3 things are making my forum viewing naff.

Not a big fan on it to be honest - where is community discussion on the home page, I had to go to newest topics or something. Does seem a lot slower, but I guess I'll get used to it :sadvaultboy:

They're in alphabetical order, which makes sense since they are mainly game series, and not really subject to being ordered chronologically.

It's linked at the bottom of every game's board.

Yeah, my bad. Not sure how I didn't see it the first time. Thanks.

Would be nice if there was a link to it on the homepage with everything else though.

We were discussing how much moaning and complaining there would be, and from who. We have been right so far.

I like the new scheme it is much easier for me to read - plus I know where the warn and ban buttons are so I am a happy bear.

It's in alphabetical, with the "The" of the Elder Scrolls omitted from alphabetical consideration.

And as for the forums... All I can say is "Gah." Why is CD buried in the different categories instead of on the main page? Why is the width so constrained? Why does the ES forums have to have that parchment background?!

Meh. I'll be done pouting in a few days. Would've been nice to at least announce your uber-secret project if you wanted to upgrade the forums, Bethesda. <_<

Yep, that was reset. It used to be in the thousands.

I don't like the new amount of stars for the ranks. I shouldn't have to squint at the screen and count the tiny stars with my cursor to see how many I have.

You would think that time would have been better spent coming up with ideas for the new layout there aren't you know, terrible?

Yeah. I think considering everything it may actually be more stable than the previous forums. It also handles text better, as I notice italics are smooth where they used to be jagged.

Just...just somebody kill that bar up at the top. Pretty please? I'll learn to love everything else. :puppyeyes:

This confused me, I thought that rage had no links to bethesda, and I cant see new vegas...And I can not find a CD I got here through a different link.

CD is linked from every game forum, not just ES.

The Elder Scrolls sections look a lot better than CD. The ES banner is at the top and the background is that familiar tan/parchment color instead of drab gray.
