Only just seen the new forums now and I must say I'm extremely unimpressed. I'm of the mindset "If it ain't broke, don't fix it", and the forums certainly were not broken. They are now.

layout as is gives --> me headaches.

Please can someone PM my with how to get this site looking the way it used to? This is wrecking havoc with me -it's truly screwing me up..

If it's can't be changed back somehow -the skin I guess, then I'm probably gonna have to leave :sad:

for one thing there are these massive grey blocks on either side of the screen that I want gone. Now.

On another note, I'm used to it already. Still the gray, my only problem, maybe if they change it or something. Other than that the look and feel isn't all that bad

Is that not just your active ones or is it overall?

It shows my overall posts, which is 8,294, while my Active Posts in my profile is much less, so I assume it shows overall.

Eugh, if I zoom in, the search bar jumps into the middle of the posts. Its like a bad Acid trip. I mean Test. Test.

There's too much furniture, I think, too many shiny buttons to distract the eyes. It does seem a lot faster for me though.

Kind of prefer the old one but I'm willing to give the new look a chance before deciding to hate it, since things like this take time before you can adjust to it.

I'm saddened by how many people want to leave because of the skin.
We're a good bunch, wouldn't want to loose you guys from this place, since it's the only forum I like at all, and that's all becasue of the awesome people.

There probably are quite a few reasons for updating to IP3.0, bug fixes, security, etc etc.

That's the problem anymore.. there can't just be an "internal update". They have to slap an ugly-ass new exterior on it to make it look like they actually did something.

To be fair, the skin is fine. I used to use the generic standard one on the old ones anyway so this is hardly a big change for me.

Just make it wider!

No, still a post limit, but posting in a second or third thread on a topic is the same as posting in just one with more posts in it - isn't it?

Apart from that, how many actually read all the posts before replying - very few judging by the number of times the same question/answer gets raised.

I seriously hope they manage to make it scale so it doesn't look so empty at higher resolutions. That's my only real gripe with the new layout.

I cannot believe how many times I clicked to visit the forums over the past days... only to think, every time, "Oh, right" and make the same mistake in another ten seconds.

I absolutely cannot stand to look at the forums as they are now. Like so many others have stated, the horrid new scheme is wreaking havoc on me -- the pain and nausea are mounting so quickly. Ah, for the good old muted gray...
