I'd like to register a serious. 'This is broke - fix it'

1. To my astonishment, it's giving me a headache.
2. Like most people these days, I don't run at 800x600 - want to be able to use all my screen real estate.
3. That search bar must go!
4. Not having themes is pretty poor for such a major forum.
5. Atrocious performance.

Can I suggest an emergency rollback followed by a rethink?

Emergency rollback?

"We're sorry, but it appears that the source code for the forums was lost while cleaning the office. It would be impossible to rollback."

I hate not seeing the locations. How I am I supposed to know when and what to stereotype?

Gah... I didn't even realise, until you pointed it out. In the past I came here religiously, this is sacrilige I say!

If everything stays as is, I won't be able to come here much for physical reasons. Me having to scroll left and right if I want a chance at reading anything.
Oh and search bar your going down. Stalker to stalker :ninja:

I actually cannot imagine hating it more. I think I may have even liked it better when it was inaccessible. :brokencomputer: No, but seriously folks...really? Why was this necessary?

As would I.I would like to know why this needed to be done?

It'd rather have a clean interface without all this fancy design but it would be ok if it wasn't so slow(hopefully temporary...) and if there weren't those huge margins to the left and to the right...

So at first i read all these people claiming they're getting headaches, i was like "yeah right, exaggerate much?" but now i'm getting this pain right behind my forehead area.

If the intent of the new forums was to ease server traffic by reducing the amount of time people spent browsing the forums, it's a success.

Holy hell, the inbox looks atrocious.

Mr. Oblivion was kind enough to let me know that there's a little square next to everybody's names that show total posts, so that's good.

But when I went to reply to his message... gah, everything was black! Solid black on solid black! Dear god, this is a bad layout.

Why do I need 50 stars under my name as well?
Why do I need to dig for the Community Discussion.

My previous post was still rather optmisitic. There are some minor issues such as my avatar disappearing and me suddenly being placed in the "Newbie" group instead of the "Members" group. Those are minor annoyances, no big deal. However, we seem to be having some more serious issues such as SQL database errors, overall piss poor performance (Really slow loading times people). The older version of IPB was already pushing the limits, but this new bullcrap is really bogging things down. No offense, but have you guys considered actually migrating to NEWER and BETTER servers instead of this imho rather pointless software upgrade (Yes, yes security is an issue as well I know)? That way the boards would at least perform well, right now, it's being really sluggish to outright slow.

Also what's with the horrible scaling? Wel not sure if you can call it scaling, because it does not scale at all. When I watch this forum on my TV I'd like it to scale like the old boards did. It's not exactly funny trying to read these forums on 1920x1080 when you can't actually read anything...

Also, what's up with the rank stars? I like the old amount of stars better, more clear. Even though the function is rather meaningless, if it's going to implented, make sure it's implented properly. So no randomness like this. Linear scale please, like before!

Sorry, but I would not consider this to be an upgrade, more like a very nasty downgrade.

They also SERIOUSLY need to put a link to CD on the front page, instead of burying it within the sub-forums.

This got me thinking:

Bethesda is gearing up for new releases, so what if this change is a preemptive measure? To cater specifically to the new wave of hardcoe gamers, leaving old relics like us in the dust?

For me, so far it's much slower.

The answer is simple, it didn't. But it was done anyway. Untill I hear a valid reason for this upgrade I'm sticking to that opinion, I hate to sound like a whining [censored] but this "upgrade" has seriously ruined one of the few places on the internet I actually visit(ed) every day.

The worst part is, there's so many things here I want to stick around for, but this new layout is causing physical pain, and that's just to much. I'll probably pop by to check on the Mass Effect 2 thread, but I doubt I'll be active anymore beyond that, a shame really. I liked this place.

If you look yourself up in the members section then it will show your total amount of posts. Some people are missing a few hundred though.

I think I'm missing somewhere between 500 and 1000 posts from my count.

I only care in so far as it reflects my participation on these boards and in the community.

Also - too much button clicking to get to my "watched" topics. In the old forums, I only had to click twice (my profile > bookmarked topics). Now I've got to My Settings > Forums > Watched Topics.

EDIT: Agree with Urge. I liked visiting here, but the physical pain I'm getting is really making me reconsider coming here often at all.
