The new look is far too busy for me. I much prefer the previous one.

Has anyone else's "Active Posts" count gone down considerably? Funny, I was close to going up to the next level, and suddenly thousands of posts have dropped off my count.

Forums are already buggy.

When I scroll down any forum page, the toolbar with My Settings, Messenger, Sign Out etc, plus the search box moves as well, constantly remaining at the top of the screen. I'm gonna scroll right now and take a screenshot to show you what I mean: http://img389.images...6/searchbar.jpg

I'm not liking these new forums :( My beloved Tan is gone, and this place feels wholly alien now. I feel no connection to it, know what I mean?

That's not a bug, it's a feature. Apparently hitting "Home" is too much effort if we wanted to search for something, or check our PMs, and the bar must follow us!

I wonder if this is what the change felt like when the TES forum merged with the BGSF forum...

Just a little bit like this, yeah. It was a whole WTF moment followed by a 'where is everything' and 'I hate this'. However, there is a key difference.

The layouts changed minimally, the core forum was structured the same way, but now there was additional game forum links and more stuff on the homepage. Now, this is a whole blooming revision. Back to the drawing board kinda deal.

Which makes it different than the past change.

PS... I kinda like this color. Makes the black more acceptable, feels halloween-y.

I don't like it, I have a wide screen monitor (it's better for playing games and watching movies) but now when viewing the forums, half of that screen is blank space. It's my biggest pet peeve with any website and unless I find a way around it I'm never going to get around to liking these new forums.

And wtf happened to my avatar? *Goes off grinding her teeth*

Thought I'd add some info here for all the users trying out the new digs:

We use this same forum software on TES Alliance and browsing the forum in Internet Explorer MAY result in some odd behaviors like floating page elements (ie search bar, tabs), dead links, lagging, script errors, and more. So if you are browsing the new forums in IE and are experiencing issues similar to what I've described, try changing browsers to FireFox or something similar.

Also, I'd wager that even though the forums are back online (to stave off the impatient hoards of confused users) there is likely a lot that is still going to shift and adjust here over the next couple days. Try to be patient, the software takes time to setup and kick the bugs out of, it also takes time to create new skins, etc, be patient, I'm sure BGS will get everything sorted. :)

Cheers!

I'm taking a hiatus from the forums. I can't read three pages of a thread without getting a migraine.

Lol it's a feature? Then how do we disable it? It's one of those "features" I definitely want to disable.

Active posts have nothing to do with your post count. They're the number of posts by you that haven't been pruned from the board yet, not total posts you've ever made.

That's supposed to happen.

How does the facebook login thing work anyway?

It connects with your account and imports information and your profile picture.

They purged the forums. Click the square next to your name to see the full info.

Because it's InvisionBoard!

And in case you people start freaking out, look at http://www.invisionpower.com/products/board/ site.

It's always been an Invision board, and was always able to view the full site.

For an update, I got it straightened out. There's a link buried at the bottom of the mobile site that says "Youre using a theme optimized for your browser. Click here to change it."

It still looks craptacular, but it's better.
