It connects with your account and imports information and your profile picture.

So if I log in with my facebook I can still use this profile?

Orange-y snip.

That's so much nicer to read than white.

Was thinking the same thing. :P
I wonder how yellow looks...

Like a big yellow highlighter eyesore. Orange is better. Yellow is just NEVER a good text color.

Fair warning: it does that for ALL sites.

No it doesn't. It has per-site settings, as well as global settings. So yes, it CAN do it for all sties. But it can also do it for just this one.

Thank you kind sir for this wonderful gift. As soon as I can restart Firefox I'll install it. :D

Yeah, it's a life saver. I'm using it right now. I'm going to fool around with the text color settings.

You can have conversations (aka PMs) with multiple members! Now that is cool!

EDIT: At the same time!

[Click inside the box to load the editor] Hmmm, reminds me of another Fallout forum that I didn't like much <_<

One thing I noticed, in the Fallout screenshot thread, previously we'd click a link and it'd open a whole new page (Tab for Firefox). Now though, it doesn't. It opens in the same page.

I wonder if this is what the change felt like when the TES forum merged with the BGSF forum...

I remember that. But, to me it wasn't such a big deal. Nothing changed too dramatically. I don't remember many complaints. We got more skins, not that I used them.

I hate the new layout. It's not as comfortable on the old one. Why was the old layout removed? I thought it was the most comfortable layout of all the forums on the internet.

Y'all should get https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/2592

My forum now looks like http://s830.photobucket.com/albums/zz221/Xepha/?action=view¤t=newgamesasforum.jpg !

(Loads a bit quicker too! ;) )
That does help, but we shouldn't have to fix what wasn't broken in the first place.

They ruined the forum ranks. You don't have to earn your stars now, you start out with 1 star and by the time you hit 1000 posts you already have 7 stars. They made the star worthless. :(
How does the facebook login thing work anyway?

Yes it does. I'm using it with my forum profile right now. :)

If the forum is just a narrow strip in the middle of the screen you can zoom on in and the sizes will be similar to the old forums (at least they're similar for me but I was zoomed in a bit over there as well, the old forums didn't handle 1600x1200 very well).

You have no idea how wrong you are, In my case at least..

When Bethesda had its first big update they went from an orange and black color scheme to a purple and ivory one which, at least to me, was horrendous and I seriously considered leaving. Obviously I didn't and when Bethesda updated the forums next they added the ability to chose various skins so if people didn't like the default they could change it.

Since the forums have gone live a lot of things have been tweaked and I imagine this process will be ongoing for a bit, although hopefully the devs will get the weekend off.

At the moment most people are being quite constructive with their criticisms which is great . . . the general set up isn't going to change but the devs aren't adverse to any changes - although as with the purple and ivory skin some things may have to wait an update.

Though a bit higher speed wouldn't hurt - the boards were faster before...

They're faster for me now than they were before. It seems like Firefox also has far more problems than Crome.

What was wrong with the old forum layout, again?

It wouldn't have worked well with the additional sections that were being added and it would have eventually caused problems if Bethesda stopped updating their IPB version. I elaborated on this a bit more in my last post but this thread is moving along so quickly it's hard to keep track of everything :)

Does anyone else not like how there are two different images for users now? I just set the non-avatar one as the same as my avatar.

Actually the IPB forums were originally set up like that, and it lasted for a long time (with only devs allowed to post their second pic). Eventually we'll probably see that fully disabled or opened up to the public (probably the former)

Whenever there's a big update we often get extraneous features that can take a while to get sorted out. The system admin have their hands full with the basics to deal with a lot of these little things and they may also leave them partially enabled to see if they want to do something with them later.

You know, there's this wonderful "preview post" button. Great for testing colors.
