I think old_andy put it best: it's like someone redecorating your favorite bar, your dive, your second home... If this place used to be a bar, it's now an up-market cocktail lounge and steakhouse. And a narrow one at that.

There used to be this tiny little Italian restaurant in my town, with newspaper on the walls, candles in bottles, the whole thing. Then they moved out to a big new place, made it all light and airy and like a posh French diner. That's what this feels like.

In the Portal 2 thread, the Xbox Live and Steam lists are now one list.

In the Call of Duty dicsussion, the waiting list for the clan has been merged with the Xbox Live list.

Yeah I don't understand why they just don't keep your avatar as your profile pic.

How can you complain about an EXTRA option? It was one that was always there on the old forums, but disabled. It's for your actual picture. You know, like... of you.

Exactly.even if I manage to get use to the changes I will never like it as much as I once did.

We've always had a thread for your picture, and we even had a stickied index of each member's picture if they chose. Nothing has changed, it's just a part of the actual forum now.

I'll be very very surprised if people actually put their pictures up. Maybe the mods and developers will. But that was the whole reason we had the picture thread that was deleted. I guess we wont be seeing that again now that we have this... wonderful... feature.

Apparently you don't get my point. My point was that people were complaining about a feature that, if you ignore it, changes nothing. If you WANT to use it, now the option is there. Me not putting a picture there has NOTHING to do with that.

Agreed. I have Facebook for my friends and such i dont feel like there is need in a forum for a profile picture this is a place to come and talk about games or whatever in the CD. Not Facebook,twitter,myspace,ect.

My desktop PC is struggling to keep the scrolling smooth, I don't think an iPhone would stand a chance

Forums are already buggy.

When I scroll down any forum page, the toolbar with My Settings, Messenger, Sign Out etc, plus the search box moves as well, constantly remaining at the top of the screen. I'm gonna scroll right now and take a screenshot to show you what I mean: http://img389.images...6/searchbar.jpg

I'm not liking these new forums

My beloved Tan is gone, and this place feels wholly alien now. I feel no connection to it, know what I mean?
