Batman. The thread...

But given the batman universe it's probably just a set of special spectacles
then if thats the case and its technology, it should be explained/accounted for.
EDIT: ok it was accounted for

It is part of the lenses in his cowl. In the Dark Knight Batman used thermal vision at one point, which is similar to Detective mode.

I know it isn't used to see through walls, that's why I said it was SIMILAR. Also I liked the Dark Knight, or rather, Heath Ledgers take on The Joker. That was about as close to a real life kinda joker as you could get. At least in my opinion.

Wait, wait wait!

So...because you despise the game, people should hate it as well just because you hate it?

Batman is my favorite hero. I bought Volume 1 of Batman: The Animated Series the other day and it's awesome. It makes me feel like a little kid all over again. :D

I've loved the Batman: Animated Series since I was a kid, though I wasn't a big fan of the films at that time. The Christopher Nolan adaptations gave Batman a well needed breath of fresh air.
I also feel I have to provide this classic Batman moment. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RYBd7999qqo

Batman is my favourite hero. I loved both games, particularly Arkham City, and I can't wait until the new film comes out.

I don't know what it is about him that makes him so... likeable. Other heroes will have something about them that grates on me, but Batman is great

The punisher. Way more likeable than batman imo, and he had a good game made after him too.

I like Christian Bale as Batman but the voice is annoying. Very annoying. Other than that he is pretty good. Although I do think that the only reason the Dark Knight was such a success was because of Heath Ledger but he was amazing so, eh.

THIS! I loved the Punisher game.

Other than the Frank Miller series and The Killing Joke, what other comics from the batman universe seem to follow a nice long timeline? I want to avoid the original batman comics, as despite what other people have told me, they just look... to goofy for me.

How many comic timelines are there for Batman anyways? The only two I know of are Frank Miller and the original.

I liked the Batman Animated Series and Batman Beyond. The only BM games I've played are Arkham Asylum and Arkham City----I love those games.

I've always thought Batman was a coward. He is unable to get rid of these psychotic criminal masterminds. He catches them, they escape and endanger more lives, he catches them hands them over to escape again.

That or Bruce Wayne is so caught up in his little dress up game that he doesn't care what the repercussions are, as long as he gets to chase the bad guys down again.

A guy dresses up in a batsuit with a belt of gadgets and martial art skills and fights crime.

Also the villians he faces are the most memorable. Can't have a good hero without "good" villain.

Grew up on Batman the Animated Series and the Mark Hamill Joker.

He exists in a comic book universe. Even if he actually killed any villains, it's not like they wouldn't return through some convoluted process like they do in 99 percent of all other super hero comics.

Batman has always been my favorite hero. Just a few days ago actually I found a good book in my library called Enemies and Allies.. It is set in the 50's about batman and superman first meeting each other and teaming up. It was a good one.

Edit: Got the title wrong, I'm a dummy lol.

I just remember the combat being a little spotty, but everything else was pretty solid.

everything automated and combat involves 1 button + countering when an indicator appears on screen.

I don't get what you mean by spotty, but I take it you mean how its sequenced button pressing?
I liked the style because of how elegently it flowed if you knew what you were doing, especially when you were surrounded and countering.
