Sir and or madame you wound me with your assumptions that I am of an lenght saying Dstar svcks, Au Contradicima by no means do I imply such. simply that you are utterly imbalanced and Biased to the Highest Order, notice how I do not downplay or call you ill for your passions to one of your fav Series and a pack that has yet to be released, and yet already you leak of running 6 to 1 on "negatives" and downplay those who do not have similar sentiments as you in a darker unfavorable light, and those that have positives are the word of truth.

No sir my case is, you are nearly unreasonable.

By that same logic, the entire DLC is 10-20 hours, as we've seen two sources linked that said 10-20 for everything and only one that said for the main quest. 2 to 1.
That's not my focus though anyways. It's obvious the dude is overhyping himself when he's misquoting and saying "15-20." BigBoss I'm not saying all this because I'm mad at you or wtf do I know; I'm saying it because I see you (and several others) overhyping themselves, and I know that leads to disappointment.

Ok in interviews they have said the Main Quest of dawnguard is 10-20 hours plus they said it adds TWO (2,dos,duo) however you want to say two areas one of which is the soul cairn soooo 2 new large areas sounds pretty good to me I'm not sure what you're hoping for but that sounds like quite a bit of content.

Dawnstar is one of the More betterworks released from the studio in some time, if you thought FO3's DLC's were crap you are unlikely to think the same about Dawnguard, those DLC's were isolated and uninvolved once you finished them, This isn't so with Dstar.

WHY DO I KEEP SAYING DAWNSTAR....

Longknife: if someone wants to overhype something and ruin it for themselves, why stop them? It's their choice, and I believe in learning the hard way.

Then again, there ARE people who would SQUEEE over an 'Elk Fart' DLC. And that's fine, that's just how they are.

At the end of the day, arguing subjectivity on a subject that the vast majority of us haven't experienced is pointless. You might as well try to chew steel.

In your view it might be "Over-hype" but i have a good reason to hype because skyrim met all my hype, in my honest opinion.

Why would anyone worry about TES DLC? After that horse armor fiasco, Beth learned how to handle DLC. Look at all past expansions of TES games, all of which are awesome. Mornhold (City of light, City of magic!), Bloodmoon, Shivering Isles the list goes on.

Well my expectations were low coming into Skyrim and I STILL managed to be disappointed somehow, so I can't help but scream "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO" when I watch people sit here and misquote Bethesda in their own favor regarding a DLC before it's even released. OP wasn't even saying "Dawnguard will svck," nor is anyone. He asked for more content. In a scenario where Bethesda pulls the strings, is a million-dollar company and their own estimate puts Dawnguard BELOW the length of SI or a Morrowind expansion, I think it's quite odd to view this issue as "big bad OP" being ungrateful or hateful or whatever.

It's natural for him to want more, just like it's natural for a company to want more money for less content. But when WE stop ourselves from wanting more....do you think the company will stop itself too? No, no it won't, that's not how things work. So stop apologizing and self-hyping and all of this and keep asking for more even if you are satisfied if you want more good content in the future. Being polite is what you do amongst friends, demanding what you want is how you handle companies.

Just my two cents.

I would say don't judge it until you've played it. In terms of personal preference it is by FAR my favorite expansion.

Why don't you first play it before you make your decision?
I've seen a beta tester claim that he had already played 40 hours with the dawnguard dlc.

So buy first and if not satisfied you get your money back?

I work in retail. This attitude makes me despair of mankind. A little politeness will get you a lot further than you might think. You demand, I switch off and sort it out for you. You come to me politely with a request or grievance, you'll get a way more positive response, not to mention goodwill.

Just saying.

Dude, DG is obviously the fan request DLC, look at the content... if you're saying you hope it's not the Shivering Isles of Skyrim, don't worry, I doubt it is.
We'll get about 3 expansions and I suspect Herathfire will be the big one.

Bigger DLC's take longer to make, So they probably giving us the medium sized DLC to wet our whistle for the time being. I'm sure big things are in store for Skyrim in the future. For the time being, lets just celebrate the first add-on for Skyrim.

False. I know facts. And the facts are, it's a 20 dollar 10-20 hour DLC. That's not an opinion.

Well I'm beta testing, and I can tell you you're pretty much dead wrong. Dawnguard is amazing, and is quite comparable to Shivering Isles. I've already logged about 15 hours on one side, and I probably haven't even done everything yet. There's a bunch of things I could tell you about the DLC, but because of the None-Disclosure agreement I agreed to, I cannot. Just trust me when I say, it's pretty sweet, and well worth the money.

This is the first of hopefully many, I don't think any of them will be that much bigger than the others. Wasn't it said that they all would be roughly Shivering Isles sized? Even if they aren't, this is the first one, I doubt they'd go all out on the first expansion and make lesser ones afterwards.
