They never hinted at a big DLC. They outright told us we'd have multiple large DLC's. And, unless you're in the beta, wait until you actually play it to judge.

Shivering Isles was roughly 10-20 hours too, atleast the main quest.

It amazes me when people will defend a gaming company for no other reason than to defend them because they are fans. Why wouldn't any one of you who are all over the OP want a bigger DLC? I swear, if gaming companies said, we are going to give you less for the same price, you'd still be touting how great they are and how lucky you are to give them your money. With that said, I don't know how good the DLC is going to be, but Skyrim itself offered less than previous titles so I don't really have high hopes. With that said, who knows, might be great.

1 dollar is about 10 swedish kronors if ignoring the rates of a exchange system.
100 kronors is needed to go to the pictures.
20 dollars = going to the pictures 2 times.
2 films = 3 hours, give or take.

People using movies to compare often forget the production cost of a 2hr movie is usually much higher than a 10hr video game DLC.

Just for your information, in general, the more "sandbox" a game/ entertainment activity(e.g. Board game) is, the higher the amount of time spent/ cost ratio.
The more "scripted" a game/ entertainment activity(e.g. Movie) is, the lower the amount of time spent/ cost ratio.

Of course, I'm not saying which one is better, I'm merely stating the fact.

Does that 100 hours make up the main quest? No. 10-20 hours is stated as making up dawnguards main quest, *not* counting side quests. This has been stated multiple times in this thread, along with the fact that until DG is out, we don't know for sure how many hours we'll be able to sink into it. Why do people insist on ignoring this?

Bethesda's games are known for their side quests and other non-main quest contents. That does not apply to the DLCs however.

Most Bethesda games have more non-main quest contents than the main quest. But look at all those Fallout 3 DLCs, none of them has much else if you do not count the main quest.

Blood Moon stunk, Shivering Isles made Oblivion the best in the series, imo. I hope this is not the BIG one, and I don't think it is. I just hope the next one isn't about undead stuff, I want to do something foreign, like in the Shivering Isles.

I just couldn't get into it, but I'm not a huge fan of Morrowind to begin with. I liked Tribunal well enough, but I loved Shivering Isles.

Sorry for going off-topic but since a lot of beta-testers are posting in this topic right now. Can you please answer (if there is no problem) if we are getting more armor sets than the ones shown in the trailers and E3 previews? no need to get into further details just a yes or no...

It amazes me people will complain about things for the sheer reason it's different.

No, an expansion pack wouldn't make everything better.
An expansion pack would take another half-year to complete, they would be even more expensive and even though there would be more content, those content would revolve around one theme, while with multiple smaller DLCs they can touch multiple themes.

And again, this DLC already sounds bigger than most other DLC given out for other games or Fallout/Oblivion, but that doesn't matter because it's not an expansion and expansions were bettur...

I think the sooner people realise that in this day and age they are essentially the same thing, the better.

I bet it's really only 5 hrs, played with 2 - 4 different characters. That is really what was meant by 10 - 20.

The amount of alleged beta testers popping out lately trying to convince us that Dawnguard is not worth buying just because they hate Bethesda or what, is getting silly.
