Bethesda, you earned my respect in Patch 1.6.

This patch dont mean a thing. Why? cos horses svck to begin with. Sprint time is pathetic, trot looks like my little pony showcase. AC:Brotherhood is how you do horses.

The support we've received from you guys on Skyrim has been unbelievable, and we've wanted to do anything we can to improve the experience. Seriously, thank you!

Not too long until you be hearing about Dawnguard. There's some exciting details.

I agree Stordrage, it's comforting just knowing there's Bethesda staff observing the forums.

Can I just ask Gstaff, Does the new patch mend save games that already have the respawning and freezing bugs (I think it's due to bloated save file or something) ? Or is it only for new games started post 1.6 ?

In the current world where we have Day 1 paid DLC (IM LOOKING AT YOU BIOWARE)

At least BIOWARE knows how to modify their games' UI to look and function better for PC users.

Question for you lucky buggers with the beta...... does it handle like Mount and blade? I have played Mount and blade on the bros PC and I was surprised with how well the controls felt during combat. Was wondering if Skyrims controls where similar?

With mounted combat we're one step closer to what I really want... to lasso and drag enemies to death like in RDR... hahahaha
Bahahah, that's one of my favorite games of all time. RockStar San Diego polished that game to perfection, it's simply amazing. Rockstar and Bethesda have a lot in common I think, they're both wonderful developers.

Gstaff seriously, thank you from us.
Dude you're teasing us man. Wooo!! Rev up the Hype machine chaps, Dawnguard will blow our minds!! Woo!!!

@NOESM
Oh please. With the way Bioware is doing things nowadays, they've got LOTS to learn from Bethesda man.
Thank goodness Skyrim's main quest ending was quite satisfying.

Hold on a second. Dont give them that much credit. This "free" stuff theyre adding is stuff thats already within the game. Just altered code around. its not like they gave us some additional content that was downloaded. Sure its nice that theyre doing this, but real DLC gives us content. This is just altered code. Its not comparable.

Finally, more use to Horses :D

Although for Archery, I'm gonna have to get better in 3rd person because I refuse to turn on my Cross-heir, or my HUD Opacity :o
It's difficult but possible :|

The updates are nice, but it would also be nice if Bethesda were as prompt as the modders at fixing the game's bugs and similar issues.

I don't plan to spend too much time on horseback, and the killcams are just eye candy. Those updates are better than nothing, but they're nothing major.

Patch 1.6 releases Mounted Combat, a feature that im sure long time players have been waiting for a very long time.
They could have intergrated it into Dawnguard as a paid DLC, but they gave it away for free instead.

In the current world where we have Day 1 paid DLC (IM LOOKING AT YOU BIOWARE)
This is a very refreshing and very welcome move.

Now my problem is...if mounted combat can be offered for free, what goodies can we expect from Dawnguard which is a Paid DLC??
Im getting too hyped up for this, and deep in my heart i know i really shouldn't cause it'll probably cause disappointment.

But should i be hyped up? lol Please bethesda, please tell me if i should be hyped up for Dawnguard lol!!

Seriously tho, thanks very much for giving it away for free. Very much appreciated!

If you say "giving away for free" one more time they probably wont do it anymore... and some of us wont be happy...

'The Horn of Helm Hammerhand will sound in the deep, one last time! '

I can see the Rohan related video's now...

Look forward to it. The fix to the nirnroot problem has me stoked.

I also agree that few other games hook me for the amount of hours Elder Scrolls do . Some that come close are world builders or strategy games like Civilization or Romance of the 3 Kingdoms series. Also SRPGs can last as long as an Elder Scrolls game. Especially something like Disgaea.

Would you prefer that content not to be included at all, "altered code" or not?

Personally, I'm grateful Bethesda cares about their game and adds features, even if they were the ones incompleted. I've seen tons of games and gaming companies which wouldn't bother even to do that.

You're thanking us? Really? Almost each time I read a topic here, it's about how bad gamesas is at their work and how good modders are... We thank you, for your patience mostly, and all the tremendous work you've done yet on this game and the previous ones. I just hope that Skyrim won't be the last of the series, and I'm not referring to the MMO. :)

So we shouldn't thank them for not jumping on the current bandwagon of actually charging for altering code on the disc? It's apathetic attitudes like that which gave rise to the barefaced cheek shown by other companies.

Do excuse the rest of us whilst we voice our opinions and thanks towards a welcome break from the incessant fleecing of consumers which is on the rise in the rest of the industry. Or are you happy with day 1 paid DLC, and the strangling out of the used games Market?
