I can't understand why you'd play this on console.

because i don't have a job, so i can't build my own $2000 computer. i also think that with a desktop it would be kind of difficult to connect it to a big tv screen, unless your desktop is close to your tv.

Eye sight benefits from sitting further away from screen, more comfortable on sofa, more sociable as I can sit next to mrs and chat while I play, less aching from using a mouse (prominent cause of RSI), console guaranteed to run game, less crashes, cheaper.

Open your mind a bit, your statement is one sided.

Apart from not being able to afford a half decent pc.

I have both the technical know how and the funds to afford an uber-gaming PC, but after having ridden on the gaming PC merry-go-round for a lot of years, sometimes, you just want to put the disc into your machine and have it work OOB.

Console sits neatly next to my 50" HD TV with surround sound. I sit neatly on my leather sofa and use the wireless controller. No need to have a PC really anymore. XBox only cost £150 decent PC is too much money just to have a bit of a go on a game.

I understand why some spods would get one. But I am just a casual gamer who likes a beer and a quick go on Halo or Call of Duty now and then.

Having a PC means you have to have a designated place to put it and then it goes out of date every 12 months.

Waste of money in my opinion.

As for mods? Meh, can't be bothered with all that, just play the game and then move on to another when you get bored.

I could easily buy a great PC but console games are much more comfortable . I don't like dealing with the keyboard and mouse for hours at a time.

Again, the controller argument doesn't work as I can just plug a 360 controller into a PC and play a game with it. Especially Skyrim, which will autodetect the controller and remap appropriately.

i have both. xbox and a quad core pc...you would say that it is better but it almost looks the same on pc...so todd told us the truth when he told us that the pc looks almost the sam. (appart from the peron that have a super uber pc.I like both systems. and later on i can play again with mods.....

Same here.
Other reasons I play on Xbox...it`s relaxing playing from the couch, on huge plasma TV with sound through decent 5.1 Logitech speakers. The Xbox controller is perfect for the game. It looks gorgeous on my big TV through the console, oh and no CTD`s unlike when I played it on my new Quad Core system.

Hmmm... why would I play on console :ermm:

And here we go again, the dullards are out in force.

There's plenty of reasons why people opt for consoles.

My main reasons being

1) i sit in front of a PC at work and the thought of spending my free time in front of a PC too isn't appealing, not in the slightest.

2) I've had back surgery and if i could muster up the desire to sit in front of a PC 24/7, it would simply cripple me being hunched over a keyboard, so a console allows me to play in comfort, regardless of what controllers etc you can get for the PC, it suits my needs.

The OP is everything that is wrong with gaming, you know, lacks any real breadth with his views, thinks everything is down to money and so on. Out of interest, why do so many people lose sleep over why i and others play on consoles, does it really affect your lives in any way or form? Enjoy your PC, after all, it's what you enjoy and that's all that matters come what May.

While the pc console conundrum is something that interests me, the real thing I can't understand is how you draw such obscenely broad assumptions from what is arguably an extemely neutral post. I created this thread for the purpose of genuine discussion, not trollin, as you seem to believe.

Your post accuses me of being everything that is wrong with gaming, but I'm going to take you vastly negative mindset and both morally and logically incorrect assumptions and say you are everything that is wrong with humanity.

I fail to see why you would come to the conclusion that he got his TV for free. No where in his post did he state that, or are you simply running out of dull come backs that you now have little or no option but to twist what people have written?

No need to explain. Too many PC gamers think that consoles are somehow "unworthy". I know. I used to be one of them, but at the end of the day... it's simpler, it's less hassle, and it tends to just work. If you're time poor, and just want to fire up a game for an hour or so of fun, consoles are IT! Whilst sometimes I think of making another gaming machine, and linking it to a 360 controller, I have to think to myself... is it worth it? Sure, you can get mods on a lot of games, but when you break it down to $$$ spent per game... oy, it usually works out to be a lot of money.

Nothing against PC gamers - go nuts boys, but in general, the whole "I play on PC so I am teh bettrs is just stoopid.

Oh, and my 67" TV says "hello baby" when I walk in the door.

I have been a PC gamer for many many years... I have spent more hours troubleshooting games than playing them. I have also spent more money upgrading the blasted machine because of the increasing hardware demands.
I'm more than happy with my Xbox and PS3 - put in the disc, a little installation and just play - no Windows errors or absurd crashes because of something random.

Yeah, mate, and I'm the Duke of York. It's not as if you're posting anything original, after all, these topics get posted on a daily basis with the sole intention of baiting others because somehow people like you have it in your head that you having a PC actually matters. Do you have these conversations with friends, family or work colleagues?

You mean like the 360 version did after a full install, or how the PS3 version did after 60 or so hours of play with the save-game glitch?
