I can't understand why you'd play this on console.

That's the only reason why I first played Morrowind and Oblivion on a console. I got a better PC just because of TES.

I can't afford, nor the have the technical know how to build a good PC. I have no idea what's good and what's not and I like using a controller.

I love it on console, but Mods would be cool.

Sitting on your coach in front of a TV? Not being bothered by PC gaming? Hating a keyboard and mouse? I play on PC but there are half a dozen reasons why people prefer console to PC gaming, even if completely removes the ability to use mods, which is like the third greatest feature on any TES game...

I can afford to buy a very decent PC. Why the hell should I buy Skyrim on PC? I don't care about mods.

Have you ever played a heavily modded Mw or Ob? Because prejudice is an ugly thing.

Not after mods, cheaper console, plus the game was designed for Xbox, so no crappy ports.

Yes, I have played Oblivion modded. So? I still like the game without mods. I played Morrowind on pc, but didn't use any mods. No need for it. If they actually start developing the game for PC then maybe but until then I'm gonna continue playing this game on console. Don't see a reason to make the switch.

I've got it on console and PC. Console and PC both have advantages and disadvantages. I don't know why people don't just buy both :D
But seriously though, It's nice to be able to play on my HUGE tv sometimes and other times it's nice to play on my PC in my dark room alone.

2 Reasons: New PC yet to be delivered after last one blew up lol
And its easy for my 3 year old nephew to use the controller than a keyboard and mouse and he does so love gaming with me.

still I have my PC version ready and waiting as I just cant resist those mods :)

I played both Mw and Ob on console when I first got them, only upgrading to pc once I realized what I was missing out on, ie, mods and player made bug fixes and the like.

Consoles are the easiest solution. Not everyone has the knowledge to use/maintain a PC, or the budget to build/buy one. Also not everyone even needs one. And the PC's place usually isn't in the middle of the living room where the big TV etc. is.

My PC is my work and entertainment system in my living room. I use it from my couch. The only reason I'd get a console is for console exclusive games. There isn't any other reason, PC has both better controller options and better performance.

Edit: I couldn't play TES games without mods. Mods give so much more replay value.
Edit2: Oh, and I really don't want to play new games with below 1080p resolution.

Yes, but seeing as I don't need a PC to play the games I play, watch movies, listen to music I won't buy a new PC except for PC exclusive games or if I suddenly develop an interest for mods.

The controller and playing on TV arguments fall very flat as it doesn't take much effort to hook a computer up to a TV (Pro tip: TVs are just big monitors with a tuner), and you can attach a 360 controller to a PC in as little as 1 step.

Step 1: Attach the controller
Step 2: There is no step 2 because you're done. Load the game.

I guess the only reason to play on a console now is you're a cheapskate.

Well if I'm gonna buy it on PC I need a reason to. No interest in mods and only the bookshelf bug which is now fixed. So I don't really have a reason to buy a PC.

And here we go again, the dullards are out in force.

There's plenty of reasons why people opt for consoles.

My main reasons being

1) i sit in front of a PC at work and the thought of spending my free time in front of a PC too isn't appealing, not in the slightest.

2) I've had back surgery and if i could muster up the desire to sit in front of a PC 24/7, it would simply cripple me being hunched over a keyboard, so a console allows me to play in comfort, regardless of what controllers etc you can get for the PC, it suits my needs.

The OP is everything that is wrong with gaming, you know, lacks any real breadth with his views, thinks everything is down to money and so on. Out of interest, why do so many people lose sleep over why i and others play on consoles, does it really affect your lives in any way or form? Enjoy your PC, after all, it's what you enjoy and that's all that matters come what May.
