can you please make dual wield visable?

Post » Fri Jun 15, 2012 10:01 am

I made a new char. after 1.5 was released and when he duel wields both weapons are shown and sometimes his dagger will be on the same side as say a sword or axe while sheathed. Plus it looks awesome.

Rare random glitch?

You can actually force it, sometimes...with an axe and sword. Wield them both and change clothes. Get naked and weild them then wear some robes and it will show both the sword and the axe, until you change weapons. I was doing it with the black robes. It would not happen every time, but it would happen. I will see if I can duplicate again later.

What about staffs?

They are odd and disappear. It's really weird and uncomfortable that it isn't attached somewhere.

Ew, what's wrong with your Whiterun?

Anyway, this is something I've been complaining about for a long time. It literally Ruins Dual wielding for me, not being able to see both weapons sheathed. I would have rather seen Bethesda add this properly, than put up new Killcams or Executions.

Good thing I'm not here to impress you, or I'd be [censored]-out-of-luck huh?

Plus, I don't even use hotkeys, I stick with the quickmenu.

Also it would need a lot of work and i don't know if anyone will do it because is it really that game breaking?

God forbid they should actually do some work, right? No, it's not game-breaking, but it's very lazy and unprofessional looking, especially for a game of this scope and caliber.

I care less about seeing them both attached than not having my view ridiculously obstructed when dual wielding axes.

It's surely a result of Todd-admitted fact that Dual Wielding weapons was a late addition, because it "Felt Natural", unfortunately they didn't feel the need to integrate it in a way that looked natural.

well it follows suit with a lot of things that were half-assed in skyrim.

What do you actually expect? Stealth equal to the Thief Series, a game that focuses on stealth only? With Combat as visceral and reactive as Condemned: Criminal Origins, RPG systems as convoluted and complex as Dark Souls, a World as expansive as Just Cause 2, with as much character depth as Morrowind?

i was expecting an improved FONV in Nirn.

Like actually improve the series based on previous titles, not just sh!tcan some things because they were hard to balance..

like faction politics, hardcoe mode, sensible controls, decent dialogue (that mattered), consequence

Economy of scale my friend. Fallout: NV is the size of Vvardenfell, with less than a tenth of the NPC count, not to mention a horribly ugly world from an artistic and graphical perspective.

I personally think NV is tenfold an inferior game, though it does have a couple (mostly writing) elements done correctly.

It's a retexture mod called "sixy Whiterun". I'm one of those weirdos who likes to have colors other gray and brown :hehe: Additionally a lighting mod that does away with the tint, makes many places look quite pretty ^_^

To each there own... I think the oversaturation looks horrible, but that's why mods are mods, and that's what makes mods awesome.
