can you please make dual wield visable?

IT doesn't make sense was to why an axe sword wouldn't show up, since they occupy different sides of the body when not readied.

This is why I hate big companies. Small game devs actually listen to their customers and fix issues that are broken.

It does? Even when you holster the weapons? If true, then it seems like a bug and not intentional. Can anyone confirm this?

Its intentional. And what he said isn't true at all.. just tried it.

I always wondered this once I first started DW'ing. I didn't notice til I went 3rd person.. I honestly think it's stupid. Why can't we have weapons on both sides? Not merged together in a hidden slot..

I think it would be cool if, when you "holster" a staff, you use it as a walking stick while walking, and just run with it by your side while jogging/sprinting.

This bothered me, but I didn't see it as a fatal flaw.

I'm not sure how this can be considered a game breaking bug.

Yeah I noticed this and thought it was pretty lazy of Bethesda. It's not really a big deal for me though. I rarely dual wield.

I never said that, nor did alot of us prolly. Just dont feel like reading. It's just really eye candy for the most part.

But to not include stuff like this, a breath gauge, spellmaking, etc. seems kinda lazy. That or they were just way too rushed? I wouldve waited another year for a complete package TBH.

What if they made dualwield weapons put on the back instead of the sides, after all the guy in the Skyrim comercial takes his 1 iron sword from the back (could be steel sword).

This^

The fact that it does work on a rare occasion is the bug. No script, no animation, no bug.

have you seen the script for the game? you cant say there is no script if you are not fully aware. as for the animation the animation it self could be bugged as well. if it some times works and not 100% of the time it means that it is a bug. if it wasn't working at all or if it was working all the time then it wouldn't be. but since it is only going some times that means that something is happening that shouldn't or simply something isn't happening at all. i have noticed this as well and it has bothered me the fact that the other sword materializes is a bug Bethesda is not the lazy ones if you want to talk about a lazy company lets talk about Obsidian.

It isn't a bug, it is because they sheath on opposite side of the body.
You can actually visibly carry a knife, sword, axe/mace, arrows, bow and a two handed at the same time as they all use different slots.
The ability to carry all those at once is a mod though, but dual weild with either dagger/sword and mace/axe combo will have both showing.

The only explanation I can think of not showing both weapons might be hidden in the fact that not every weapon type used with the main hand is at the same side of the player. Axes and maces are at the right hand side of the player, whereas daggers/swords are kept left for the main hand. If you choose to have a main hand sword and off hand mace, both would occupy your left side.

IMO, it wasn't an element of design, it is a valid bug with the PC skeleton.

The fix though is something that has to be done at the 3D/Programming level. They have to add a bone (or bones) to the skeleton that will handle the dual wield slots.

It might not be necessary for weapons that are of different pairings ie: Dagger + sword, Dagger + axe, axe + sword, axe + mace. Those can use their original slots. However, what happens if you have two of the same weapon?

Axe and Axe, where does the other axe go? Sword and Sword where does the other sword go?

There's a bunch of solutions in my mind, but it takes programming on their side to get it done, ie: altering the source code. Plus, the skeletons for all humaniod creatures that support dual wielding, would need to be altered to add the bone(s) that allow for visible dual wielding..

If I know Bethesda well enough, that much work is not worth it for the short term effects. Maybe they'll do it for DLC though, like Horse Armor .

THIS, I can confirm it happens on a random and rare basis.

Same with a magic staff. It just pop out of thin air, and dissapear when you sheath it.

Thats pretty bad for todays standards of gaming.
its embarrassing is what it is

I agree, both weapons should be displayed, it's very lazy for that to not already be implented in the game. I aslo dislike how my weapons on my character dissapear when I cast a spell or pull out my bow, all weapons you have equiped should be displayed on your character in my opinion. "Oh time to cast a spell, better make my 6 foot greatsword dissapear. It would be too difficult to cast this spell anyway if that sword was still on my back." rage,rage,rage....

Have they fixed it yet so you can see two weapons?
I personally prefer this to be fixed rather than what they are offering for kinect. And yes I play on the 360 and I already own a kinect, so I will give it a try.
That and a bone about DLC would be nice.....

This is still finding it's way on the mantle? I do admit, it would be nice to see them both. I admit it...BUT...

The epic fail that is known of the dual wield hotkey issue. Should trump the visual. Without question.
