Same issue with the quest and saves. I have 20 hours played time and about 4 hours worth of saves thanks to all the save bugs. Nice job Bethesda/Obsidian, the ONE thing that HAS to work you couldn't get right.

If a couple of people want to upload their saves(to something like mediafire/4share/etc) and PM me the links(or post them here), I wouldn't mind taking a look at the saves post crash.

Just a friendly 'bump' post for Bethesda developers. I'm stuck on this. Once I give Chris (? the thinks-he's-a-ghoul) the stuff, everything corrupts after that.

One thing I noticed, though. If I'm about to complete the mission, but haven't yet (still haven't given him supplies), I can still force a corrupted save. What I do is walk into the REPCONN facility, and save, and my game is corrupted. (the "can't find downloaded content" message)

Please place a priority on this one.

Until they fix this bug im done playing Fallout: New Vegas and truthfully with how poorly this game has performed i seriously think a refund of some sort is in order. You simply cant sell a product that doesnt work.

Ok, so unlike many on here my experience with the game had been flawless until I started this quest. Went back to town to get the fuel and module and all new saves would ctd when loaded. Was pretty frustrated since my only working save was 4 hours earlier. Came to this thread and determined it was due to leaving the area to get the materials so I started again making sure to have those items in hand before entering the facility. That obviously wasn't what triggers this bug because I got to the point right before I'm supposed to talk to the guy to let him know the path is cleared and once again all new saves were corrupt only like an idiot I had saved over my 4 hour earlier save and now only had working saves that had me already having entered the basemant. Man was I pissed. I was not looking forward to losing an entire 14 hours of gameplay and starting all over again. I tried finishing the quest and not grabbing the spacesuit which didn't make a difference. I tried leaving and not finishing the quest without luck. Tried finishing the quest in different ways. Tried exiting in different ways. Seriously wanted to cry. Finally after repeating the final part of the quest several times I tried once more finished the quest and instead of heading back to town after exiting I went north and discovered Helio, did a manual save and all of my saves have been working fine ever since. Not sure how this worked, suppose I just got lucky and avoided whatever it is causing this by chance.

They definitely need to fix this.

I suspect it has to do with finding out the location by other means and then proceeding with the quest. Personally I had searched Manny's room and found out about Boulder before I started this. It's definitely not leaving the facility or grabbing the spacesuit or completing the quest.

I am having this same issue. I posted about it in another thread. By fault of my own i have no save prior to whatever caused this bug. My question then is, if they do fix it (have yet to even see official mention of it) will the saves i have now that are causing CTD eventually work? Or do i need to start a new game either way?

I'm having the same issues, so I just started a new damn character that's killing everyone, and just skipping that quest all together for as long as I can. Please Bethesda FIX THIS in your next patch please!!

I'm having a similar issue in Vault 3 (Fiend hideout)... corrupted save files. One file in the hideout is not corrupted and that is at the entrance. I think the corruption may occur after I kill Motor-runner... I get a quest failed message (Aba daba honeymoon or something like that) But I never received that quest, nor did I accept Col. Hsu quest to kill Motor-runner; I killed Motor-runner as part of the BoS quest line, but took his helmet... Also I saved the ranger hiding out but didn't put him in my party... anyone else experience this one? Come fly With Me worked, no problems. I guess this is a make-up bug for my lack of problems with Come Fly With Me

im having the same issue, all my save games now do not work. even the one before giving chris the rockets

After futzing around with the game a little more I think Vault 3 is somehow bugged. I went to my last good save, inside the entrance to the vault and exited the vault no problems... I'll save the quest lines for later, I guess...

So any word on a fix, Bethesda?

Adding myself to the list of people experiencing problems with this. I get a full crash to desktop after finishing off the Nightkin and talking to Bright. I've been stuck, unable to play for four days now with no fix in sight for this GAME BREAKING bug. I wouldn't be as pissed as I am now normally, it's just that I took two days off to play this game in the middle of my Masters mid-term week and spent those two days resolving Steam Cloud Sync problems to actually get past the intro video I'm not pleased at all and probably won't be buying anything else from this franchise at this point.

So yeah, I realize at this point you're all dancing around and excited you have our money and we can't do anything about it, but I'd like to actually be able to complete the game I payed for.

Bump. My character is trapped in a limbo forged from corrupted save files caused by this bug. Please rescue him, Bethesda.

would be nice if anyone from bethesda would at least acknowledge this gamebreaking bugg.

I've just completed this quest , during which i left the repcon site numerous time - no problems with my save games here....

I've had an issue with this quest as well, only it's after completion.

Once i complete this quest, i cannot enter any door, or my game will crash.

Bloody annoying, just wont load anything..

I just did it yesterday myself and also have not run into a problem, yet. I've got about another 1.5-2 hours of play since completing it but I am reluctant to say it I'm in the clear just yet. (Though it seems if your going to get hit, most get it right away.)

I've run into this same issue in both Oblivion and Fallout 3. Thankfully it's usually just the last save that got corrupted with them though.

I been checking all day cause i'd like to continue my game...
No acknowledgement, no bugg fixes announced, nothing.

My bett is that they are working on the Xbox 360 Exclusive DLC that they have announced instead of fixing the PC bugs...

Apparently they can't afford to pay one person to stay on here on their multi-billion dollar earnings.
