Could the Enclave be back?

Not always. Mass Effect 2 assumes you went Renegade in ME1 (default Shepard kills Wrex, the Rachni Queen and leaves the Council to die). By doing this he deprived him/herself of a loyal and powerful subordinate (not to mention friend and kindred spirit), what could have been a decisive Ally in the war against the Reapers, and has humanity hated and feared as Usurpers by all the Citadel races just when unity is the only hope for everyone....basically making the worst possible choices he /she could have made canon.

I agree with you on how they should have ended FO3, though....the original ending was poorly done and left the "good" player with no sense that thier sacrifice was worth it, and the "evil" player furious because they were shoehorned into doing something thier LW would never have done.

I was not talking about all RPG I was talking about Fallout. Fallout goes by the good ending. I am glad we agree about how FO3 should have ended. :foodndrink:

"2077 --- March --- Prepared for a nuclear or biological attack from China, the president and the Enclave retreats to remote sections around the globe and make contingency plans for continuing the war."

http://fallout.wikia...Fallout_Bible_0

Near the bottom of the page. Good news for us Enclave Fans. The oil rig was not the only HQ. Neither was Raven rock. They are stationed around the world.

I knew that world map in the oil rig represented Enclave bases...

EDIT: Same for Fallout Bible 3 (latest update with a timeline)

Cheers,
Mk II

Yes!!!! That means I still have a chance to keep killing Enclave (and work with them for my evil playthrough). THE ENCLAVE SHALL RISE AGAIN!!!!

Way to pull numbers out of your butt there. From what I can see alot of people don't want the Enclave back at all (in New Vegas). More only want to see them as remnant forces. Saying the 60% want them back is way to high. Maybe FO4 seeing as it will be on the East coast (most likely) and Lore wise they moved East and for some reason have very large numbers there.

Why is it that just about every post I've read from you has been about Enclave?

And don't draw statistics out of the blue.

"The Destruction of the Enclave erased all trace of President Richardson from history. Now the title of “President” is used as a boogeyman to frighten children.”

Yes we do see them in FO3. I post this because that's what things should be like on the West Coast. Enclave and Richardson long ago erased from history. FO3 shows they went East. So taking that quote from FO2 and the info from FO3 we have a clear picture of the Enclaves role in New Vegas which is NONE!

They are gone on the West Coast. The word "president" on the west coast should be a boogeyman used to scare children.

I would love to over hear parents telling their children "Don't go out at night or the President will get you."

Both, Probably fallout 3 fans.

But Knight, one thing I wonder is, why do you want a very narrow-minded faction with only one goal which we've destroyed 3 times already instead of a completely new interesting faction with a different plot-twist?

Isn't it better for the series to evolve lore-wise instead of rehashing old stuff ? *cough*BOS*cough* *cough*Dogmeat*cough*

Poor Hitler would be upstaged as the root of all evil.....

"And if you don't agree with me..then you, sir, are worse than President Richardson!"

And much to the relief of gay people everywhere, a new word is found to describe things that are considered lame and generally useless.....

"Have you seen Bob since he got his new haircut? He looks so Presidential, if I were him I'd have shot that hack of a barber!"

Added conflict for NCR could come from peoples mistrust of any lead by a "President."

The ending of fallout 2 has become invalidated (when it comes down to the Enclave) due to the fact that we see them in FO3 (And yes, FO3 IS a fallout game).

The Fallout bible even states that the Enclave had retreated to multiple areas around the globe (and if you look at my sig) made contingency plans ( a "anything could happen so prepare for everything" plan) for the post war. That would not fit with putting all the Enclave in ONE base (due to the fact the Reds could have known about the Rig's purpose, or any other such event)

And if we are to believe Fallout bible at all (where a lot of people get their info around here) you need to take into account my Sig's quote.

Cheers,

FO3 is a Fallout game. Fallout Bible is not the end all to be all. First the Bible was made by the Devs of FO2 after FO2 back when they still were going to make Van Buren so the bible is invalidated. The Ending to Fallout 2 says the Enclave is no more. FO3 says the Enclave went East, therefore the Enclave in the West are no more. Enclave as a whole could still be around but only in the East.

You don't like people saying FO3 does not count so don't call FO2's ending "invalidated." :stare:

I don't think the Enclave will play an important role in New Vegas. They could make a small appearances such as some holdout or survivors with a small outpost. But as many other users have said, the Enclave has been defeated twice already and loss two presidents in a role. And almost all of their remaining troops has relocated to the East Coast as seen in Fallout 3.

The only way I think the Enclave will appear in the game is either the small band of survivors that got left behind or ex-members that surrendered or deflected to one of the major factions in the area (BOS, NCR, or the Legion).

Yeah we don't know if or when they will ever come back West. Things is they won't be in New Vegas. So for the time being the Enclave are finished in the West.

So this thread is pointless.... Will they come back? No

haha you didn't take that personally I hope :o . I dont mind people saying FO3 doesn't count, because it really does, It IS a Fallout game.

FO2's ending states that the Enclave was destroyed (Not moved, but destroyed). But they appear in FO3. That means the ending was wrong (i'll use that word instead of invalidated).

I try not to take it personally. Here is the thing, for all intensive purposes the Enclave were "Destroyed" in the West. It's word play. The people in the west saw Enclave patrols and Enclave vertibirds. They heared about them taking people. One day there was a big nuclear blast off the coast from where they came from. The Enclave remnants pack up and leave. Now if you were a wastelander in the West and you saw the nuclear blast and in the days after you notice no more patrols or any other Enclave activity but maybe seeing what's left moving East. What word would you use? I would use the word Destroyed.
