Dawnguard and Future DLC Discussion - Thread #28

Some Molag Bal quests would be nice, if it has to do with vampirism. He made my naughty character molest an old man over and over with a rusty mace of death, laughing with his jerk-off voice. "Yes! Yes! Hit him again! Ohh yeah!"

Here's a MUST HAVE in future expansions:

We have to have the ability to DECLARE WAR on the daedra.

I would LOVE to defile daedra shrines and provoke them into sending their followers after me for vengeance. In fact, let it be a contest quest, wherein your goal is to destroy a given daedra's influence in skyrim by wiping out the followers and defiling their shrines. That would be very cool, and would serve as the basis for many kinds of quests and DLC additions.

Both sides of this argument reminded me of Elmer Fudd in his Viking helmet with a spear singing; "Kill the Wabbit, kill the wabitt, kill the wabbit..."

Ok this is all mostly speculation and theory.
With the finding of the Dlc patch info on the pc describing the Snow elf prince i believe this will still take place in skyrim and will consist of the rise of the falmer to the surface. Focusing on a form of leadership with the falmer, focusing on wiping out the surface world most notably nord because they were the one driven underground. With the falmer already making their way to the surface by way of Liars Retreat and Dwemer ruins that link to the surface and link to caves that lead to the surface.

Gameplay aspects. I want to remind every one this is all pure speculation and should not be taken as anything more than that.
>I believe that a new type of falmer will be shown as well as chaurus, with the ability to create falmer gear and weapons.
>New dwemer locations possibly even the main falmer hive or settlement.
>A new type of weapon such as the crossbow which was mentioned in the patch info.
>Possibly snow elf armor and weapons, different from falmer, and new dwemer pieces as well.

Can we have a disguise system in the dlc? Like if we wear a Chef's Tunic and Chef's hat, can people treat us like we are Chef's? And if we wear Stormcloak, Imperial armor at the wrong area we get attacked. Or like if we wore Novice robes and had an amulet of Stendarr, the Vigil would recognize us as one of them. Or if we wore the Jester's clothes people would ask us to entertain them. And we could use Imperial Armor, Stormcloak armor as a disguise in general and people would acknowledge that we are a member of the factions armor we are wearing.

True, I don't remember draugr attacks causing any disease, and this doesnt make any sense I mean, millennial corpses on ancient tombs are sure to cause serious diseases, still I find none. Maybe lichcraft is introduced and you can contract the disease from draugrs just like vampirism. Or maybe even a different vampirism disease contracted from draugrs focused on lichcraft.

...you do realize liches are NOT created from contracting a DISEASE, right?

liches are self-created by power hungry necromancers who desire immortality by performing dark rituals to remove their souls and become living dead with incredible magical ability.

its not a disease like vampirism and lycanthropy.

Here is another list of items I would love to see in the dlc:

- Some epic assassins armor of course :)
- Non-linear dungeons with lots of traps and crazy puzzles that you have to solve
- A daedric artifact vendor who sells his wares at 100000 a piece
- I would like some throwing weapons like throwing knives and darts. Maybe a sling also?
- Bring in a wicked black dagger of some kind
- Bring in grenades like you throw a bottle of poison and poisonous gas spreads or a hallucegenic toxin infects the room. Or even smoke bombs!
- Have the ability to create your own traps
- Have a vampiric drain sneak attack
- Bring in the capes and cloaks as another wearable item with armor
- Have new forms of spells like shadow spells or rituals
- Make people respond to you in sneak mode in a way that makes sense. For example, if he sees a dead body he is not going to be like "Oh I must be imagining things".
- Have werewolf/vampire followers
- I would like to own a fortress or large town of some kind
- Be able to add personal effects to your house or keep like spill blood along the walls or put shiny balls of light somewhere or something...
- Make low-level conjuration spells more usable. For example, if you are fully trained in conjuration you would be able to summon 6 familiars rather than just one. And the more powerful the spell the less you get.
- Bring back ALL daedric artifacts from the previous games. I miss that awesome bow from Morrowind ( I forgot the name of it hehe)
- Cool shouts you can use depending on your skills. For example with 100 sneak I can teleport behind someone once a day through the shadows.
- Own a palace like in the Shivering Isles except with alot more rooms in it.
- return Spellmaking
- Add cool effects on your armor like for your pauldrons you make them onfire. Or make ice armor.
- Have hidden blades in your gloves like Altair
- Have some evil-looking robes available in the game. Like necromancer version of the Archmages robes and more robes too
- Hair stylists and body tattoos (of course it wont show on armor but I like to decorate my character in every way possible) :)
- Bring in earrings aside from Khajiits being able to wear them
- Some epic spears, pole-arms and pikes
- Have werewolves wear armor and use weapons. Like the worgen from wow.
- Enable backstabs without sneak. Not 30x dmg obviously but like 2x damage everytime you to a backstab.
- Bring acrobatics back in
- Some epic blackwood staffs!

What do you guys think?

No. Werewolves are just that. Werewolves. Animals. Mindless beasts. They shouldn't be warriors. They should be just as folklore depicted them.

And we do have werewolf followers; Aela, Farkas, Vilkas.

I really, really, really, really hope to see a chance to help Winterhold to return to its former glory!

Also, I'd be very disappointed if Helgen didn't get a cleanup in a future DLC. I don't want a burned
down town that stays that way forever like Kvatch in Oblivion! It's ridiculous.

EDIT:

I'd love to see some Dwemer action aswell! Maybe not as a live civilization, but as souls trapped by a Daedric Prince in Oblivion.
My own theory for the abrupt disapperance of the Dwemer, is that they were captured, with the aid of the Daedra-worshipping Chimer,
by an unnamed Daedra and that they all at once were transported from mundus into Oblivion.
A potential DLC could revolve around something like this - the Dwemer, while trapped in a Daedra's plane of Oblivion, are trying to contact the player.
I'd love if Azura was responsible - she played a pivotal role in the War of the First Council in which the Dwemer disappeared.
She is generally perceived as a "good" Daedric Prince, and if she was responsible for the disappearance of an entire race, it would definitely make her
more morally ambiguous. So, being contacted, somehow, by a Dwemer soul would be awesome - and to travel into Azura's plane Moonshadow to
get them out!

I'd rather Helgen just be made into a monument. The place that heralded the return of the Dragons.

Don't know if anyone mentioned it, but when the Thalmor took control they ”wowed” the people of Elswyer when they returned the lost twin moons during the void nights with the once lost dawn magiks. Might be noteworthy?

You can do that in New Vegas, I have no idea why this wasn't implemented in Skyrim.

Exactly,Would just look stupid.
But wouldnt it be cool if you had a follower that is a werewolf that could use beast form and lets say,go and hunt with you? Hunt with a group of werewolves in their beast form :) amazing...

Because Obsidian made NV Bethesda just produced it. And yes i am aware of that. But i'm not suggesting the same thing. I didn't really like the system in NV because if i ever wore a faction armor, my rep with that faction was Neutral. And that only applied to armors in NV not clothes.
