Want a chance to play Dawnguard early? Following the success of our PC beta updates, we're excited to announce our Dawnguard Beta for Xbox 360.

Visit http://beta.elderscrolls.com/ to apply. The process should only take a couple minutes, but make sure to fill out all the information accurately. Applicants need a http://www.gamesas.com/ and you'll want to make sure your forum email address is updated.

We will be selecting applicants in about a week. Players accepted into the beta will receive an Xbox LIVE code to redeem Dawnguard. The beta is the full version (complete with Xbox LIVE achievements) and those participating will not have to purchase the content.

Thanks again for your continued support of Skyrim!

NOTE: If you accidentally signed up for the beta before joining the forum, you may want to sign up for the Beta again using the same email address, which will delete your previous entry and replace it with the new one.

Nothing is more amusing than talking to mentally insane sane person, so no matter how epic Dawnguard is, I don't think anything will be able to substitute for Sheo's dialogue. His dialogue alone made me give Shivering Isles 10/10. I am still wondering as to how many people are going to be accepted though. That's been my question of the year.

Honestly, I find myself getting way too hyped for the beta xD I mean, I know I probably won't get in, but I'm still really anxious to find out.

Whether I get in or not, I wish the beta testers good luck and I hope they'll enjoy their gift of free, early dawnguard (And that the beta testers will do their job and look for and report errors. I also hope nobody leaks information XD)

I guess not knowing makes it more exciting =P

Yeah... Sheo was a real laugh. I still find myself referencing quotes when the Shivering Isles comes up in conversation...

I was surprised that when signing up for the Dawnguard beta just a minute ago, there wasn't an option for having "3+" characters. I have eight characters, and four deleted ones... And now that Dawnguard will be expanding on werewolf / vampire / witch-hunter(ish) characters, I'm probably going to end up with at least another five new characters when it comes out. >D

I don't mean to be harsh but since the beta was announced almost every thread has at least one kid begging for the beta, it won't do them any good. To Oblivion with these milk drinkers!

Exactly! Maybe I'm just bitter for never having received a fishy stick in almost a year of posting, and almost two years of lurking before that xD

I noticed something in the Vampire Lord perk tree. It used the terms "Night Powers" and "Blood Magic". This implies the typical Vampire abilities will now not be confined to the typical once-a-day thing, and will be more like typical spells. This is excellent. I hate once-a-day powers. I find them so unreliable, so I end up never using them at all. Rarely will something's usefulness provoke exception.

The way vampires are right now, they're effectively a bad facial characteristics modifier with a severe disadvantage during the daytime and a weakness to fire. This new DLC will make them worth the time, I hope. They've done a good job tying the Vampire Lord transformation into your own attributes, so it's still tailored to your playstyle to a degree.

I don't know how the selections are being done, but I will mention this here in case it is read and makes a difference.
I am the author of the comprehensive "Oblivion Reference Guide" which also covered all the DLC and can be found on Gamefaqs under the pen name Naranek Angmar (or google it and it should be the first result). I put hundreds of hours into that guide with no expectation of anything in return - but a free DLC would be much appreciated . As my guides will show, I am a completionist who likes to explore every outcome of every choice. I believe community wiki's have replaced single authored guides now and so I contribute to the various wiki’s instead.

I'm a long time lurker here and even I have been irritated enough to post simply to say: Stop begging, even if it's suble, for a key, please? There are much better things to talk about. Like.... *sarcasm* will there be vampire dragons!? *sarcasm*

This is assuming he is being honest and didn't just google an FAQ and then claim credit for himself.

I haven't checked myself BTW. If the guy is truthful, then yeah, its worth mentioning - why not? Its not svcking up, its a valid point, someone thourough enough to write a guide would be good. Why hate?
