well aprox 15 million people have played skyrim (probobly more i have not checked in a while) well say some left to play other games but come back when they here about DLC. when everything is said and done about half of the original 15 million purchase the DLC. 7.5 million at $20 a download is $150,000,000 that is to say:
150 million dollars
if the gave the DLC free to say 2,000 people at a loss of $20 a download is $40,000
150,000,000 - 40,000 = $149,960,000
so barely a scratch in there overall gain, and with the plublicity of a free beta and more DLC on the way i think Skyrim and Dawnguard are going to do perfectly fine. Skyrim is the biggest selling TES game to date, i think Dawnguard is going to be the biggest selling DLC to date, and Bethesda is going to make alot more money. . .to date
EDIT: I myself applied for the beta, and i expect all those that did to do thier job if selected, there will most likely be NDA beta forums were you will be posting and confirming various bugs and glitches if and were the occur. its great to get stuff free and early, but i expect you all to do what your suposed too.
