I believe the Vamps castle to be far north, east. In the cloudy artic region near Winterhold.

I believe the Dawnguard Fortress to be south west, near markarth, maybe closer to cyrodiil.

Well, how much did Shivering Isles cost to begin with?

That could clue us in on what exactly to expect for $20.

It was like 30 dollars or something I think?

I think it will take place in Skyrim, just in a different time period, probably back in time (using the elder scroll to get there). Based on the enviroment and foliage it looks like the dawngaurd castle is around the riften area while the vampire lair/castle is in the north by winterhold. This could explain the snow elf prince references as the snow elves/falmer originally inhabited Skryim long before the nords arived from Atmora. Also some of it will take place in a different daedric plane, not sure who's. Lastly, if this is the case, it will start and finish in the current time period. Just my speculation.

Well... for the island of the castle, I'd say... Olenveld or Roscrea. Same for some of the places we have seen. The frost giant is reminiscent of Solstheim, so he could live on another northern Island.

For the other realm... Well, it looks like Coldharbour to me. Moreover, Molag Bal is the creator of Vampires. However, two other hypothesis have been put forward.

First, those vampires ... well, don't look like the average TES vampire. I may be wrong, but so far, vampires had nothing to do with bats in TES.

So maybe they are some kind of "werebats" servicing Namira, hence this mould be Namira's realm. Moreover, in Oblivion, Namira gave the player a spell called "Namira's shroud" used to extinguish the light brought by priests of Arkay to a dark Ayleid ruin... And it seems that the "werebats" want to extinguish light at a much, much larger scale.

Another hypothesis I heard is that the strange deathly realm shown in the trailer could be the Soul Cairn, which is some independant territory of Oblivion, outside the jurisdiction of the various Princes, and ruled by some unknown "race", the members of which call themselves "the Ideal Masters". Could those, err vampires, be in fact the Ideal Masters?

Also, could these beasts be... Morpho?d Daedra?
Namira is a very good theory also.

I believe beth said they're going to be big expansiony things -not exact quote- not quite as big as shivering isles but there should be more of them, or something like that..
and i suppose at £17ish per DLC they should be quite big.. or at least i really hope so

Yes, and this Prince is often portrayed http://images.uesp.net/a/a9/OB-Img-ShrineofNamira.JPG (or at least something that looks Impish)

Morrowind is the location or near Morrowind. Note, this was released 31 one days ago. And we just received true word on what Dawnguard is about. This person is onto something.

If that's true, I'm not sure how I feel about the return of Cliffracers.

I see a note there saying cliffracers are returning. Oh dear god. I pray that is false.

Actually, what your looking at on the map, is Solitude and Marcarth. And the river that runs between them. Pull out the map that came with your game and look at it closely. You'll see that its Solitude and Marcarth. :)

I saw the rivers, but it was my husband that recognized Solitude's and Marcarth's symbols. :D

Please don't add more to the Skyrim worldspace. It is already unrealistically cramped...

I'm quietly hoping that it takes place in a twisted version of Skyrim (somewhat like the Golden World/Dark World in Zelda).

If Molag Bal is indeed the antagonist then we may see his plane Coldharbour:

"Coldharbour, the immense realm of Molag Bal, is also one of the most inhospitable realms, consisting only of charnel houses and vast slave pens. Any mortal found here is captured and placed in one or the other. It resembles Nirn except colder, darker and more beaten and violent; according to some a premonition of the future of Nirn itself."

If this is true then we effectively get to explore the whole of Skyrim again but this time a whole lot darker and twisted.
