Dead Money fact sheet

The new CoD's are barely shooters, most everything you face is only hard if you rush it.

i wasnt exactly talkin about cod being hard, but how can u say cod isnt a shooter?

@ sgt- i think it is jus being put into the dlc jus for marketing it aswell, but its also in response to the fans (theres fans outside of this forum) that said it was to easy to get to the lvl cap.

Raising the cap doesn't make it any harder to get there, and I think that's something people (the ones in favor of raising the cap, that is) don't understand. Hell, even making the levels take forever to achieve doesn't add actual difficulty, just pointless grinding. I guess the MMO fever was bound to catch on to the rest of the gaming world eventually. Before we know it, you wont be able to play a game without "levels".

Again. Fallout 2's level cap = 99. So a mere thirty-five is chicken-scratch.

Yeah, except in Fallout 2, higher levels were painful to even think about achieving. And finding the Fallout Hint Book after the end of the game doesn't count. It was a gimmicky easter egg.

A lot of people are complaining about the Level Cap increase. I don't see a problem with it all you get is 2 extra perks and depending on your intelligence and if you picked Educated your only going to get an extra 70-95 points. I don't really see what the problem is your character isn't going to get too overpowering like in Fallout 3 because you get less skill points per level. I'm also pretty sure that we haven't heard everything from Dead Money itself for all we know they could do what they did in Fallout 3 and add in a new overpowering monster.

You had difficulty gaining levels? We must have been playing different games then. I seem to remember being over-powered very early on. Heck. I oftentimes was able to wear Power Armor and use a Gauss Rifle before even killing the Rat God.

So as I said before. If you don't like it, don't download the DLC, easy as that. Or just grin and bear it. It's happening regardless, and not wholly unwelcomed. And these five levels don't make you even close to as overpowered as you could have been in both Fallout 2 OR Fallout 3.

well i think some ppl are thinkin that its weird to end on a odd # since we get perks every 2 lvls, so theyre thinkin ahead that there will be another lvl cap increase to 40 to even it out

That's not as odd/perverted as Gearbox - either levels 58 or 69 for Borderlands. At least New Vegas will still be a multiple of five.

Yep, I would bet money that it ends up at 40 after all is said and done.

Excited about the dynamics between the group your forced to work with, sounds like a great idea.

Not so keen on the lvl cap, unnecessary. Just build on the other things like crafting/items and enemies to add variety. Could still add new perk options though to the existing line up, new ones relevant to the DLC maybe ? Even free ones like bug stomp after performing certain tasks. I'm guessing you'll get some from your partners in crime anyway.

borderlands is a big joke, so the 'odd/perverted' lvl cap suites that game, since it doesnt take itself seriously

I say 50~60 by the looks of it.

Hell, there may even be a post game DLC after all; regardless of what you did, 2nd Battle of Hoover Dam is sabotage by Aliens escaped from MSZ

I actually think the Max Level Cap will remain at 35 because 35 is an even number I mean look at Dragon Age the max level in that game is 25. 35 isn't a problem and as long as they get rid of the Chet Leveling Glitch or any other leveling glitch, I'll be ok with the cap being at 35

You...you didn't mean to say 35 was an even number, right?

You cannot choose not to level up.

You cannot choose not to allocate skill points when you are forced to level up.

You cannot choose not to take a perk when you are forced to level up.

What gives you the right to force your bull [censored] down my throat? What gives you the right to force me to play a god character?

They could always create a "Sooper Dooper" hardcoe mode where enemies levels to you like Oblivion....

Nice, level cap increase! In my opinion, 35 is a great number to increase the cap to, as it means 2 more perks, thus allowing myself to even out my some of my previous mistakes (i.e. I am going to pick Hand Loader).

Can't wait.

The xp requirement for level 99 in f2 was 4,851,000. So that gives you an idea for how long it took to advance.

Your thinking of the real number 35 which is an odd number no what I'm saying is that level 35 is an even number in RPG terms because you only going to get 2 extra perks, and 70-95 extra skill points when all is said and done.

Regardless, it still had a level cap at 99. Doesn't matter how long it took to get to it, you still had that potential.

Did you play fallout 2? And if so, did you EVER get over level 27 or 28 before the end of the game? Level caps don't mean that much when the exponentially increasing requirements make it virtually impossible to go past a certain level.

You really had to do pretty much everything in order to get the level 24 perk of sniper or slayer much before you finished the game.

Would I be saying the things that I am saying if I had not? Especially if you're going around farming muties/Enclave, it's not all too difficult - at least for me it wasn't. It might just be that I've had a separate experience from the rest of you. Who knows.
