35 is reasonable, but NO MORE!

Don't worry, they probably won't raise it again...until the next DLC...

I wonder how much further they'll bend to the people who hate the very idea of an RPG that enforces specialization? This is terrible news, but not as terrible as a ten level increase (though I'm sure another five are probably coming.)

I wouldn't doubt that it was Bethesda forcing Obsidian's hand to make this change, too.

It's the vocal majority of gamers forcing them to make the change. A lot of people like god-level characters. Nothing we can do about it. It's the future.

I wish they'd have the balls to just not listen to the vocal majority.

I am intrigued by the little blurb, especially the harder dialogue choices. Maybe there will be somethings set in motion that no matter what we might not like the outcome.

To the boost in level cap I say oh poopoo.

I guess I will be maxing Barter and Survival, maybe start a new peep and not use any skill books in preparation. I think Lead Belly and Explorer will be a couple of my Perk choices if there are Perks that screw the game to hell. Trying to think of more useless ways to use perk/skill point allotments.

WTF? Some new content like perks you learn from doing a quest (like In point-lookout); new guns and equipment; and new places to play exclusively for Xbox I can understand. But raising the lvl cap in a DLC that is xbox exclusive? I cry bull****. Way to piss off a good 2/3rd of your player base.

I like the level cap increase I mean its not like Broken Steel where you get 20 points average if you picked Educated at LV 4, per level thats an extra 200 points for the extra 10 levels with 7 Intelligence. The same 7 Intelligence in New Vegas if you picked Educated at LV 4 is only around 78 for the extra 5 levels and its 95 extra points if you have 10 Intelligence.

Hopefully they add in new enemies like they did in Fallout 3 with the Overlords, Reavers, Albino Stupid Scorpions, Regular Deathclaw encounters in places where you wouldn't find Deathclaws normally.

Edited- If The PS3 and the PC gets an exclusive Burned Man DLC that raises the level cap to 35 then that to me would be fair

Broken Steel is a go! We'll just do it a little at a time now.

Currently taking bets on how many more bugs they manage to squeeze into the game and how many of these new perks will work like "Ghoul Ecology".

Looks like Sawyer is reading this thread. Sawyer, is the 35 cap going to be the end of it? We need to know. I'd hate to see this game go down Fallout 3's path, where every character ends up the same in the end.

Hopefully we get more novel, outlandish perks, not just do X amount more damage to X creatures etc.

I wonder if they'll make the Mojave Wasteland a little more dangerous with the DLC as well.
I mean, lvl 30 is pretty cake-walk.
Lvl 35? We're gonna need better enemies and more of them.

You're right, they're definitely going to need a bigger boat. Please let someone get that..............

a raised level cap to 35!

Not really sure how to feel about this. The game is easy enough as it is.

Otherwise sounds intriguing.

Forget the level cap increase, that doesn't bother me. What does bother me is being kept in the dark about when or even if it will ever come to the other platforms. We NEED to know this!!!

Have there been any DLCs that have been solely exclusive to one console/system?

The games only as easy as your role play is. I made William "Bill the Butcher" Cutting, hes level 30, but he cant take on bigger enemies because he only uses the butcher knife and the Chopper. He cooks a mean gecko steak though.

35 is better than 40. Hopefully it's not a sign of further change, though. We can't have that.

Not that I can recall, I think all the ones that matter have sooner or later trickled down. I do have a friend whose panties are still in a bunch over the FFXIII having the unlockable themes on PS3.

Ah, was like 4 or 5 years since I saw it.

That a good enough reason then.

35 is a pretty good cap IMO. I can tie up some loose ends and still get the experience!
