The games only as easy as your role play is. I made William "Bill the Butcher" Cutting, hes level 30, but he cant take on bigger enemies because he only uses the butcher knife and the Chopper. He cooks a mean gecko steak though.
I don't make "concept characters", I prefer to play by the games rules not by my own. In my opinion the game should present a challenge that matches its own rules and not rely on playermade rules that basically are about gimping oneself (to use a buthcherknife
only, by your example). It goes against the concept that, with the levels the game makes you stronger, and by giving experience it encourages getting better (not the other way around). Imo. :shrug:
+5 levels isn't really a big thing (given that the levels - apart from leveling happening a bit too quickly, and skills not quite having the punch they could've - in general and skillpoingain were in good balance), but I think it's half a step towards the wrong direction (more skillpoints and perks and HP when there really is no need for more).
