Did you ever play so long that...

When you start to hallucinate or think your hallucinating it's definitely time to take a nap.

I hallucinate all the time, mostly just dark objects in the corners of my vision...the scariest object was a silohette of Alma from fear 1 and 2

My longest videogame session of all time was back in college. The Zelda Challenge?.

I did a nonstop playthrough of the Legend of Zelda on NES from start to finish, without saving or dying once... and then continued into the second quest without saving or dying either.

Ahhhh, UMass.... "It's educational!"

The longest gaming session I've ever pulled was a 72-hour stint in the MMO City of Heroes, during one of the special weekend events. By the end of it, the only thing that kept me from getting constantly killed in-game was the fact that I'd long since memorized the control layout for the character I was using; since I knew what to hit when, I was basically on autopilot at that point.

I haven't come close since, nor do I intend to, as I've long since passed the need to 'cram' like that in that game. It helps that the event, which looked like it was going to be a one-off, has since become a regular affair, so if I miss one I can always try again later.

I tried to play for 96 hours once.. After 70, I realized I couldn't do it, so I thought, if I take an hour power nap I will be good. I woke up 16 hours later..

Are you joking? I do that all the time!

I've never recovered from ready weapon not being the 'F' key from Morrowind and find myself in third person approximately once every ten seconds.

I don't know about playing too long... altho I have put in a couple of 36 hour sessions here and there when time off from work and other stuff allowed... but I do know about playing too MUCH.

To the point where I sometimes find myself trying to operate my entire PC using the keyboard commands from the game. As in, I keep trying to shut down Windows by hitting Esc and waiting for a Quit option that never appears for some reason...

Lol, I can live off rich tea biscuits lol. During sixth form I had a litre of ice cream for lunch every day among other things.....didn't gain a lb at all, then again I've been between 9-10st since I was 11.

When I first got this game at release, I played it for 6 hours a day for about 4 days, trying to disprove my disappointment with the lack of depth. Since I couldn't, I've only been able to play in spurts of 20 minutes or less every few days.

Longest non-stop session I've had of Skyrim was 14 hours. Every New Years I have a marathon session of a game. 2010-2011 was Morrowind. 2011-2012 was Skyrim: I played from 5 pm to 7 am.

In my middle school years I could go from 9 at night till 630 in the morning on weekend nights with any game. Nowadays (senior in HS) I can only go maybe 3-4 hours tops then I need to go to bed or go outside.

I don't love the games any less, just enjoy taking little breaks so the game is more "refreshing" (if that makes sense) when I come back. :)

On topic: I usually don't play constantly enough where I'm forgetting buttons and such, but last night (coincidentally) I just got done playing skyrim, went to bed, and dreampt about looting a dungeon with my family. Weird, huh?

Did you ever play so long that you have difficulty using the controls correctly, like pressing the wrong buttons and going into the wrong menus? One time I played well over 24 hours straight, maybe even 2 days. I think that was the longest I ever stayed awake.
My longest was when the original DOOM came out.
4 of us at my house networked together playing in co-op and deathmatch mode for over 72 hours straight.
We were running on adrenaline, beer, cola and pizza. I was dreaming about DOOM for the next two nights ...

Learned to save 2 files a character after that.
