Did you ever play so long that...

I think it's, the average person can go 8-10 days without sleep before losing their mind. I'm pretty sure organs start to shut down at this point as well.
I have stayed up 24 hours once, but I wasn't trying to do a game marathon just did it for the sake of it.

I average 4-5 hours every night, been that way since Jr.high school. I could stay up a full 24 if I had to, but old man syndrome usually wins and I end up falling asleep

... you started to smell?

Longest session I ever played was Fable 3. I picked the game up at midnight and played until ten the following night. I was so tired I had tears running down my face. LOL

Me too... and with Fable 1, Fable 2, Oblivion, Skyrim, Oot, Donkey Kong 64, Fallout 3, FONV => always the first night.

Edit: and Majora's Mask, The Wind Waker, Banjo Kazooie & Tooie :ahhh:

Good show  a lot of my friends have given up as well but that was an agreement between them and the girl :deal: thankfully my better half likes it as much as I do, and there are some interesting moments as a parent. For example, being asked where the purple from the graqe juice goes when you go pee? Or a short biology lesson using the dog as a guinea pig,  followed by  is a regular pattern in this house

30 hours or so in the first weekend it released?

I played Runescape for I think 12-15 hours straight only stopping to use the restroom. I was grinding like I never grinded before.

I don't need to do playing marathons to get odd side effects. Just this morning, actually, I decided to give Skyrim a coupl'a hours. Stopped after a CTD, and suddenly I felt really tired. While I was drifting off, in that place between consciousness and sleep, the line between reality and fiction started blurring. I can't remember specifically what happened, being half conscious and all, but I vaguely remember myself thinking I wasn't able to do certain things, move in certain ways, because you wouldn't be able to do that in Skyrim. It really is an odd sensation when you get jerked back into reality with an "Oh. That's a video game."

I have never woken up after being attacked by an Frost Troll in a dream :whistling:
I have not played Skyrim more than 30 hours in a row this month, in November I know I had wasted enjoyed at least a few days of my nine days off playing at least three 24+ hours of Skyrim, then I had to delete quite a few of the Saved Games because I explored too many places related to quests :swear:

Did you ever play so long that you have difficulty using the controls correctly, like pressing the wrong buttons and going into the wrong menus? One time I played well over 24 hours straight, maybe even 2 days. I think that was the longest I ever stayed awake.

Playing that long is unhealthy.

I played for 12 hours straight. Took two 45 minute breaks to let my XBOX 360 and TV cool down.

I really enjoy 12 hour play sessions, but 24 hours is incomprehensible to me.

I read a news article about some WOW freak in South America who died at his computer desk from malnutrition.

The idiot was so addicted to the game, that he stopped eating.

I sit in a comfortable recliner when gaming, and so when my body tells me that I'm tired, I will pass out in the middle of a dragon fight. I've fallen asleep standing up before.

Hehe happened to me yesterday, while RP my new character... after a long journey from Whiterun to Riften, it was about 22 oclock(in game) and I had no money... decided tp make my way into the Ratway looking for a bedroll to spend the night... had a lot of trouble keeping me up( I think 20 RL minutes to reach the ratway 2 thugs fight from the Riften market.

What? The record for me is 3.5 days straight without sleep. Me and the bro. started on a Friday and didn't stop until Monday afternoon/ supper timeish, but we smoked sooOOOooo much green that we were both broke for 2 months( catching up on bills and what not ). No redbull or anything back then either just good old fashioned coffee  But alas I'm tooOOoo old to even think of attempting that endeavour any more

haw much was the chance that you and your brother would get busted somewhere after 48 hours ?

I quit WoW in May 2011, but played it for 5 years, and easily played it for 16-18 hours per day for several days in a row/whenever I had the time.

Skyrim, on release I played it for about 12 hours per day, for several months. But now, I've slowed down, seems I need more sleep and it's no use fighting it. I've had several characters killed in Skyrim and D2/LOD when I fell asleep during the game.

Starting on D3 tomorrow and we'll see how that goes.

I'm wondering sometimes if age has something to do with it. I'm nearing 65 and it seems 7 hours sleep doesn't do it anymore - been doing that for over 40 years, but now that I'm retired I have to take one or two naps each day lol.

dam, and i thought 2 hours almost every evening / weekends maybe 3 to 4 hours was bad
but that is what a spouse, kids and a job will do to your gaming carreer

i do admit i recently bought Oblivion and i do sometimes have problems with the controls but thats about it

I tend to play in bunches, specifically on my vacations. I will play 8:00am-10:00pm for 14 days straight, and take the last two days to get back to the real world before going back to work. I will take a break during the 14 hour sessions for a bit here and there, but it is mostly gaming. I start dreaming about the game every night starting on day 3 and it will last a few days after I stop. I will get in about 180-190 hours and stick to one set of mods and one character.

I do this twice a year (I am lucky to have 4 weeks of vacation time every year).
